  • Hey guys! Didn't get as much done in this video as I would have hoped, but I wanted to get it out regardless. Hope you guys enjoy it! In this video we got the rusted out whole repaired and painted on the right underside of the frame. We got the transmission even more cleaned up, and we got the new buffers installed on the front suspension. We switched the front wheel hubs so that they are now in the correct location. We also painted the front brake drums flat black instead of silver because thats how the original MGA 1500 had it out of the factory.
    Sorry to cut this one short! In the next video we will wrap up the front suspension and install the transmission! We will also try to fix the rusted out whole on the other side of the frame.

    Like the videos, I had a 1957 MGA, found in an old barn in 1966 when I was14 yrs old paid $50 for it got it running and drove it tell 1971. Had a good time with it wish I still had it.

    Those "dampers" are bump stops
    Have you checked for internal corrosion in the frame?
