Thank you for all the advice, I loved the mic quality too. I felt engaged from the start of the video. I found your video in my recommendations page, and I thought you have so many followers. You deserve more. 💜💜
Love the tip about quitting books you don’t like. I always felt guilty about it but you’re 100% right, there are SO many books in this world, you will for sure find something for you. Also, loving the outside chill vibes ☀️🏠
Hey tintin love this! In terms of accountability, the app Goodreads has helped me a lot. Not only is it great to see what books your friends or people you look up to are reading (if they have an account) but it’s helpful for reviews etc. You can set yourself an annual challenge and also update your progress on each book. At the beginning of this year I was struggling to get through a big and very verbose academic book and it really got me out of the habit of reading. I could see i was about 9 books behind schedule but managed to catch that up by reading a variety of books - both in terms of content and crucially length. If I’m in a reading rut I try and read a novella or a couple books around the 100 page mark, which I find can help me get back into the swing of things. 😊
Yes! So true, I love goodreads, was super into it at the start of the year but have slightly gone off track. One thing I've recently realised which is quite cool is that it links to your Kindle so if you start/finish a new book it automatically updates your Goodreads which is total 🔥 and love the tip about shorter books to get back into the habit, I do that too :)
About the first tip: My brother used to struggle with reading a lot, until I forced him to read the first Harry Potter book. Since then, he has been reading fantasy books on an incredible speed....
@@tintinsmith I'm not really a regular watcher (this was the first vid of yours I saw after Yt recommended it). I think your usual style is great but this one is definitely different, feels more personal and relaxed :) love this vibe but the quality of other videos is great too!
Great video, very relatable. I gain more focus listening to audio books because i dont need to translate the text to the voice in my head, instead audiobooks already offers a voice from the get-go, which makes it more engaging. But physical books offers the possibility to skim better, leading to more ease for taking notes. Therefore i only buy physical books which are either academic or that i now i love and want to have in my living area.
I liked your content. Informative and everything to the point. Short and crisp. Looking forward to many more videos. Didn't expect that a random click would bring me to your channel. Should explore other videos of yours. Would like to watch detailed summary of books you recommend.
Consider giving book recommendations, I always love to read new books! Btw really good tips, I used to read just for school, classics and stuff, but now I read non-fiction like Four Hour Work Week and Harry Potter 😋
Changing environment might also involved taking another degree. I've just started my Master study for like a month or so and I found myself reading 10 times the amount I did before lol

Yeah exactly! There’s just no point staying with a book if it’s making you hate reading is there. Thanks for nice comment ❤️
Love your takes outside. 🌄👌🏼
Thanks Artus! Feels a bit more chill, they’re nice to do

love that, yeah so many of us don't like reading because we've only read stuff we don't like!
Such a chill video, love it
thanks. Out of interest, do you prefer this vibe to other vids where I make more of a story and edit it way more?

Taking notes!

Great advice mate 👍🏻 cheers from 🇲🇽
Thanks Fer!

haha yeah that's a longer route but still valid
One of my greatest fears is dying before I've finished a book I'm enjoying, anyone else get that? 😬
I've finished a book before, so not really

I set a goal every year. Last year I made it to 326 and this year I set it to be 400 by December 31st. So far I am at 320 😁
Wow amazing effort 😮
No you didn't. Nobody reads a book a day.
@handshakes76 Sorry to burst your bubble, but I do. 😉
