Are they really works in a fall? They don't seem to cover a hit to the bike or pedals.

They are made to only mitigate damage, not fully stop it. But yes they do they're job

is that bolt in their for anything important? im trying to add frame sliders of different type but not sure if that bolt can be taken out or not

These only work for the ninja 500 krt. Other ninja 500 have different fairing design.

Sorry that is not correct. They work on all the Ninja 500 models and have been tested.
