    How do you get the little fuse boxes off the left side. I’ve been pulling at mine and I’m afraid I’m gonna bend or break parts of the plastic.

    Not gonna lie this made for one hell of an ASMR video. Very precise high quality soft mechanical sounds coming from the mechanic and the background noises are nice and quiet, and you can even hear the water droplets lol. Idk what type of mic he used but damn... Crazy good mic. This is going straight into my ASMR playlist :). Also thanks for the tutorial, helped me out a ton!

    You are awesome as armyrunt said, 4 years later this is so helpful. PDF manual had lame pictures that would have required a magnifying glass even when fully zoomed'! Thanks again. FFS I cannot stress enough watch the damn washer. It slipped so much I had to lay my bike down to get it back in position.

    Hey man! Just got frame slides for my bike as well! Just got done installing and I don't access to a torque wrench I just tightened the bolt with an Allen key really good, as far as it could go. Is that bad? I don't want to mess anything up. Mines a Z400 but whatever 🤣

    So are the shogun sliders mounted into the engine themselves? Or do they mount through the frame?

    Does anyone have an update on the frame bolt’s torque? Is it still 51 lbs of torque?

  • @sahilsvision
    @sahilsvision 6 років тому

    Can we just use ratchet instead of the torque wrench?

    • @motofonts5095
      @motofonts5095  6 років тому

      skpal hey! You can always use a ratchet but just make sure it's tighten correctly!

      @@motofonts5095 You have a very pleasant voice. You just need to get the mic closer. Have you thought of using a wireless lav that you can clip to your collar? I didn't think I saw one in the video and just thought I might suggest it.

    another one who bit the bullet on the ninja 400.. awesome video btw.. getting the fairing off (with the pull tabs hidden) makes me jittery. you make it look easy tbh. Also, i was looking at the carbon finish frame sliders from shogun (those look real bada**) but are not in stock anywhere. guess will have to wait and do this later.

  • @AlcatrazMeow

    will you be able to do a step by step guide how to remove the fairings, i want to do it alone but i dont have enough confidence so the frame sliders still sit in their box.... i will really appriciate it, thanks

    Is the Shogun slider keyed in any way to stop it rotating, or does it rely on the tightness of the bolt?

    • @motofonts5095
      @motofonts5095  4 роки тому

      SportbikerNZ Bolt Torque IIRC. It won't be going anywhere if you do it right.

      Don't feel bad, I just dropped my bike a week ago. When it had only 90 miles on it, slipped on gravel at a stop sign. Funny thing....had frame sliders in a box next to the bike but hadn't gotten around to installing yet. Sigh...a few scratches on the 400 logo stickers in the right side now....looking around to see if I can just buy the stickers and replace them.

    Just attempted to install the same no-cut frame sliders on my wife's Ninja 400, left side first, the Shogun engine bolt seems a hair too long as I can't get it tighten enough to hold the offset in place, still a few turns short. Did you run into that? I wonder if I have a defective bolt. It's close, but not close enough.

    • @motofonts5095
      @motofonts5095  6 років тому +1

      djwordnyc just making sure, but did you remember to put the OEM spacer back in place??

    • @davido6931
      @davido6931 6 років тому

      We were having the same issue on the left side until I figured out I was using the wrong location on the frame. There is location further back on the frame with the same bolt and spacer....oops.

    • @bobbyo6545
      @bobbyo6545 6 років тому +1

      I had the same problem. The Shogun installation instructions for the left side has an incorrect photograph (along side of a correct location photo) that shows the wrong location for where the engine bolt came from. The right location is forward to what is shown in the second photograph of step 3 of the Shogun installation instructions.
