Plamen Stoev I’m 16 and I can do 75 kg at 76-77kg body weight for a rep. And I’m not even that strong. I know people my age who can do 103 kg but they aren’t skinny.

UltraMarine Bro it’s pretty damn obvious what to do and what not to do. If your form is bad simply do less weight. If the form is still bad do even less weight but with more reps. It’ll give you a more toned look because you’ll be doing more sets and create more tension with the higher reps. If you follow these steps and still feel like you’ll end up in the video, then maybe buy your own wieghts.

@@baadtripz437 More toned just means more ripped. Everyone knows if you do less weight with a lot of reps, you get more ripped/toned, but if you heavy weight with less reps then you get bulkier/bigger.

I love powerlifting and admit that sometimes on heavy lifts I’ll get a bit of an arch on the way up. But if you can’t bench the weight with out turning your back into a rainbow, you can’t bench the weight.

Having an arch that puts your shoulders into a better position for pressing is good. Contorting your thoracic spine into an ungodly shape for a 3inch ROM bench is both impressive and an embarrassment.
@@Comuniou956 Yeah, just to win in the Lifting competition, but doesn't improve your chest. Range of motion is non-existent, so total work done is negligible and that's why there is nothing to gain from the work out except back injury.

There was a pt at my gym training a newbie doing lat pulldowns, the newbie was using his full body to move the weight while the pt was watching the hockey game,I couldn't believe how bad the form was and the pt didnt care,all his sets were horrible and all the pt did was tell him good job,what a RIP off

I tried to share the machine with someone like the last guy in the video. When it was my turn, I continued to correctly do lat pull downs, which he then decided I was doing the wrong workout. He tapped me on the shoulder mid rep but I ignored it (don't let shit bother me while I'm working out). He then continued to move my headphone off of my ear, so I stopped. Dude starts explaining to me that "you're doing the workout wrong" and that I should watch him. I told him to not touch me again, and I finished my set. After I got up he wanted to talk again and he said that he didn't want to share the machine with some that was going to use it incorrectly. So, I told the manager but it ended up backfiring. She told me that patrons are not obligated to share equipment and you can use it any way you like so long as it's safe. I quit planet fitness and got a membership at the local college.

Powerlift benchpress is a joke
I agree in many cases... however, you should watch julius maddox. He's a monster with a 750+ raw bench. Not all powerlifters are ego lifters. Hes the real deal.
@No Go well yeah I mean have you ever tried benching with a completely flat back. Not only is it incredibly difficult it's also very uncomfortable and unnatural feeling. You cant even get your shoulder blades retracted like you should on bench without a little arch. That was just my unnecessarily long way of agreeing with you

@@raptorgod77 yeah but it really shouldn't. There needs to be some kind of regulation on that. At that point with that much arch it isn't even chest strength. It doesn't even get half rom of the tricep. I'm no powerlifter but my max bench (without insane arch) is about 270 or 280 I havent checked in a while. Im sure I could do WAY more with a bench like that... but it's just silly. Just my opinion. Not that it counts for much.

I've entered and won power lifting competitions and the ones I've been involved in your back and ass has to stay flat on the bench, if it comes up at all then the lift doesn't count, you lower the weight to your chest, pause and push, the lift has to be locked out to count. with squats the spotter can't touch you at all during the lift and your thighs must break parallel to the floor, we were allowed 2 steps back after unracking the weight. when it came to deadlifts we were not allowed to use straps, hitching doesn't count, and you had to put the weight back down gently, dropping the weight is a scratch, you could use any stance standard or sumo. also lifting compression suits/shirts, knee/elbow wraps and gloves were not allowed.
