It’s fluid enough to look natural but still quick enough to work in combat. Something some games don’t get hello, Tarkov and Insurgency Sandstorm. It lacks style but it wouldn’t fit with Stalker
Eastern European game devs always had that true to the bone fetish with the firearms, it's just soooooo satisfying and hit it right with their amazing details even when it gets fiction like in Metro series.
The guns are just gorgeous ! And they have their own unique style compared to other games. What I also love is how the devs clearly saw how some weapons are so popular in the modding scene that they included them like the Bizon, Saiga and PKM

I think I know why devs made mp5 ejection port on the left side. In OG series MP5 had the similar model and name, also it was 'legendary' in russian Stalker community. So, I think devs desided to keep the OG Гадюка left sided. Nice touch

Uses BOOM! Sounds Assault Weapons pack but manages to make it actually sound good. Beautiful. Too many lazy sound designers out here who just use the raw sounds and don't mix or layer them even though BOOM! Sounds provides a plugin specifically to make it easier to do so. Kudos to GSC.
Weapon quirks and errors: - 0:27 The M26 Mass shotgun attached to the G36 is pump action only, which you can see with the big pump on the side. It shouldn't be able to fire semiautomatic. - 1:05 Small nitpick but for the Groza with the underbarrel grenade launcher, the launcher replaces the standard Groza trigger so you would have to change fire modes if you wanted to shoot the Groza or the grenade launcher as they use the same trigger. So a little animation of the user switching it to grenade launcher mode would've been nice. - This is an overall thing but there's an inconsistent style of either flicking the mag out or keeping the magazine for half reloads. Some consistency would be good. - 6:31 For some reason, the MP5 is the only gun in the game that has a left handed ejection port, a la Far Cry style, when it should be on the right side. I can't understand why it's left handed other than to see the weird gold accents on the inner parts of the gun? - 12:00 For the SPAS 12 reload, the bolt should be locked back for the final shot when in semi-automatic mode.

How come a lot of these have no visible muzzle flash while it's still reflecting on the side of the weapons themselves? Is that a bug? Not all of them are like this either, like the RAM-2's muzzle flash is showing fine.
I see that some weapons are missing from previous stalker episodes. Where did they go: AN 94 Abakan, G3, Sig 551LB , SA80 , Desert Eagle 50 and many others?

I don’t think you’ll accept any justifications, because you seem to be focused on complaining, but I may be wrong, so I’ll try a few. - Abakan was poor fit to begin with, especially in numbers it appeared in. It’s also unreliable and not worth it for two bullet burst mode alone. - G3 was never in vanilla Stalker, you may have played too many mods. - British SA80 had no business being in the theater to begin with. When first games were made, it looked cool and futuristic, but also unique in filling a role of early, unreliable NATO round rifle player could opt into if they wanted. Basically progression and balance choice. In current game, those two are obviously changed. - DEagle is impractical in most cases as it is in reality, including the stupidly rare specific pistol cartridge, let alone in the conditions of the Zone that is often brutal on the weapon systems. All in all, there are more weapons added, especially submachine guns. I personally judge this to be a good trade off.

Для начальных этапов игры хорошо бы подошли такие ветераны, как мосинка и ппш. Натовских ганов слишком много. Модернизация сделана круто. Звуки оружия - специфичны, для меня они слишком плоские и глухие, но это на любителя. Отдача некоторого оружия странная

The rate of fire on auto in As Val and Vss are a little slow, they seem to fire same 650 rpm as the 74m, except that they would be 850-900 rpm. Noticeable difference, otherwise they are wonderful.
Why is muzzle flash from barrel making whole weapon light up? Is that a bug or is the flash somehow reflecting from wet surrounding? Because it looks like obvious bug, it looks like weapon models don't block out lighting and the flash just lights up everything in it's radius without any blocking out edit: also in some weapons muzzle flash happens under barrel, or in middle of barrel... like Mk14

At this point it's established lore. The older games had made-up names, so it actually makes sense to keep them.
