Not trying to defend it but he's at least Black and White level of character motivation. All the other ones don't show any clue if they are going to be good, I think Ash's father was rumored to be a very good trainer but that's the anime and doesn't relate to Ash at all besides genetics.
the creator said the manga is the closest thing to how he wanted the pokemon world to be. i would love to play a kanto remake based off the manga where half the gym leaders are aligned with team rocket, and the elite four is insane
You have being red in gen 1, having suicune or one of them take a liking to you in gen 2, having a gym leader as a dad in gen 3, mesprit noticing you in gen 4, uhhhh.... N seeing something in you in gen 5? And I think alder liking you in the sequels but that doesn’t really mean shit, I have no fucking clue how you’re the “chosen” in gen 6 but then there’s tapu oneofthem saving you and giving you the Z rock shit in gen 7
I believe the reason why you are some random nobody in pokemon games is to show that you dont have to be anyone special or have special advantages in life to be able to do great things as long as you believe in doing the right thing and keeping true to yourself and what's inside your heart is all you need to be able to do amazing things
The story TTar suggested does all those things. It says that you’re only considered “special” because you believe in yourself and your Pokémon and in doing the right thing.
And so, your rival appears again with revenge in his eyes. He was so desperate to win that he embraced the "evil" powers. Corrupted his own Pokemon and equipped illegal items to make sure of his victory.
This is the video i was waiting for. Man it was so good just listening to that story. Pokemon is wasted potential sometimes and it hurts. But we’re waiting for that moment when maybe, just maybe they pull something like that. Kind of like how people watch one punch man for that one moment where he fights someone just as strong. On another note, Pokemon reborn is dangerously close to what you described. So enjoy it buddy, its probably the best Pokemon experience we’ll have.
they could work out the 11 year old special protagonists, helping the main guys and by plot having to deal with "imposible" fights and situations, and not just "hey you kid you can deal with all these bye"
I hear ya ttar, esp felt that when I breezed platinum in over a week during my Christmas hols, felt like it was all continuous. At least BW had seasons to change the time a bit
I Only Really Stream that ain’t gonna happen without self imposed rules. X and Y, one of the easiest games was made extremely difficult for me by implementing nuzlocke rules + limited Pokemon Center + no items in battle. As hard as it was, it was the most fun I had playing a main series game in awhile
I think Pokemon insurgence is a good example of what you're talking about T-tar. The reason we the protagonist and our friends are able to stand above other trainers and fight the cults and God-like legendary Pokemon is because we are the chosen ones with legendary Pokemon of our own. After catching mew and getting the three crystal pieces in that game I definitely felt stronger at that point. I think Pokemon really needs to start taking pages out of fan games' books instead of being threatened by them. Times are changing, kids today aren't the same way that kids were 20 years ago and I think they need to understand that.
Happy ended up on the wrong side of the tracks, and Killer was (rather ironically) killed by his own ego. Honestly, they might've been happier in the daycare lol.
When ever I have a pokemon battle I always imagine me in an awesome anime battle struggling to beat the gym leader but then when I take out one of the gym leaders Pokemon he is shocked
This is what SwSh does good in my opinion, you actually feel that you are actually a really good trainer as you complete the gyms and people drop out and everyone is watching you, anticipating what will happen next, you literally become a celebrity.
cønnahrr It’s a joke- I’m acting like the people who jumped on TTar. I’m basing that first part on his title alone, disliking the video before hearing what he has to say.
Only the SM protagonist look like real ten year olds. Before hand id argue that there age is whatever you want em to be. Can we talk about Elio's Ultra pose. I'm godly confident that people don't pose like that.
And in insurgence your father who is the auger sends you mew to help you in your journy agaisnt powerful foes that you have to work hard to beat as well, fan games are better than official ones
Hinata Uzumaki of course, cause people know what they want and actually use that potential. Games like insurgance and reborn capitalize on things gamefreak probably never will. Its the kind of fan service thats actually good.
During the middle of the vid when you were explaining the types of things Pokemon should do was a really effective concept I mean it’s seems fairly simple but it’s a game changer nice vid👍🏻
I like how Ttar didn't bring up the one main fact that the manga basically explained, which is that the protagonists have the pokedex. Now I get that in the anime everyone has one but that's the anime whereas in the manga and game only the protagonists have the dex heck ive seen plenty of trainers who go say things like "Oh you have a pokedex?" and "Aw man I wish I had a pokedex like you." and if anyone needs confirmation read the manga or look for the pokemon collector in the diamond/pearl route under veilstone city that's one i saw recently while replaying pokemon pearl.
That may be true but possessing the Pokedex does not make you stronger in any way. It is just a science instrument to record pokemon. This does set you apart from youngster Joey but it doesn't make you any better. Ttar's point is that the story needs to make you feel stronger and acknowledging it, in addition to being special.
How does that make a difference though? In most of the games at least you can go through them ignoring the pokedex pretty much entirely and not have any effect on your adventure
this is an irrelevant point no one uses the pokedex in their playthroughs besides trying to fill it to get something from the professer in the game respectively
@@smileyface9064 ah, but the manga explains that the pokedex is only given to those who have some special power. The nicknames they give the pokedex holders in the manga aren't just nicknames. There's a reason they call yellow the "healer"(just giving the most obvious example here. No one can deny that yellow has special powers) Plus, it's often implied that the pokedex is the only device that can cancel a pokemon's evolution once it's started, with the everstone being the only item that can come close by preventing pokemon from starting their evolution.
@@dbooth3975 this information would need to be present in the game for it to have the effect. In the games your a kid that just moved to X town in X region and professor X gives you a pokedex. There's no mention of you, the player being special for it. It's nice that the manga, the more story driven medium, has this context for their characters but the main games just dont
Usually when i play a pokemon game i make an oc thats my age that i pretend i’m playing as so i can relate to the story better. But that’s just roleplaying. I as well, hate that the pokemon protags are 11

Yio, ive never watched the DB series (for my own reasons) but the idea you explained about the being the mysterious dudes student sounds hella amazing. id love to see how that in a future pokemon game
When I was 10 I couldn't walk. When I was 11 I took down a terrorist organisation that had completely out-manoeuvred the government with only my feet and half a day of combat training. Their impeccable logic checks out.
Right! I always wished that they'd have some npc's who reacted to how weirdly powerful the mc's is or react to our accomplishments. I also liked your idea for a pokemon game. It makes more sense!
Truth had to be spoken, and it was spoken. Pokémon is filled with a bunch of errors but hell, it's so much fun.....88.5% of the time (i'm looking at you X/Y). Sword/Shield was the perfect time to make a renewal or define the end of an era and then make the renewal....but, it seems it's neither of both
I like that there's no explanation, it's funnier, and it's a good message that no matter who you are if you work hard enough you can become the best at something. I like the force lose idea so it feels good that beat them, but just telling the audience something doesn't mean they'll feel it, You have to show it, and when you do the training the game shows you getting better so you feel it.
It's kinda like first gym leaders training for years actually getting the title leader then getting destroyed by a kid who got they pokemon like yesterday is probably higher level
Sound of a Pokémon Anime or Pokémon manga story to me. Who said no Pokémon games remake ever ? They never played remade of the 1 st to 4 th gen of Pokémon games. The main female trainers having a redesigned like May, Dwan. You got Red, Blue, Leaf, Dawn, Lucas, May, Ruby, Brendan, Willie, etc are elementary to middle schooler but, Hilbert, Hilda, Nate, Rosa, Serena, Calem are middle to high schooler in the real life or in the Pokémon games.
Great video TTube! I believe that the reason why this is a problem is because of the silent protagonist format. For an RPG, there is not a lot of talking. For example, Tidas in Final Fantasy X. In that game, you see the story through his eyes, you see his opinion on the new world he explores and how he reacts to the story going on. For later Pokemon protagonists, I want the silent protagonist trope to finally die. Your trainer has a personality that is either set or you can control, kind of like the Mystery Dungeon games.
I love this video, you gave me some ideas of what I should do for the short film I wanna write and create. You're absolutely right, if they're able to take down a bad guy group and be the strongest, then show and tell why that is.
ttar your not wrong but also keep in mind the ever growing short attention span. kids wont notice how powerful of a story it is because all they care about is getting back to the game im not gonna lie i was the same way spamming a through what i thought was pointless dialogue but actually missing out on some really good plots (outside of pokemon of course) And tbh i dont think the pokemon company wants to spend too much time writing these indepth stories because i believe they think this isnt the right series to focus that energy on which makes sense because what 1o year old ....oh my bad 11 year old you know gives a damn about an indepth plot??????

Not trying to defend it but he's at least Black and White level of character motivation. All the other ones don't show any clue if they are going to be good, I think Ash's father was rumored to be a very good trainer but that's the anime and doesn't relate to Ash at all besides genetics.
You made it sound like earthbound, and I approve, Earthbound with magical elemental animals. oh and that Bellsprout? looked godly for a mouse drawing!
This is why the manga is amazing!
@Tricky Nicky and that makes it great 🤣
Tricky Nicky It isn’t,but it still should be looked at to make the games better,(not that their bad).
the creator said the manga is the closest thing to how he wanted the pokemon world to be. i would love to play a kanto remake based off the manga where half the gym leaders are aligned with team rocket, and the elite four is insane
BRO THIS STORY WAS SO GOOD!!!!, If you continued this i'd watch it!!!!
Wasnt the sun and moon characters chosen by Tapu Koko
cavalierSpace 30 yes I think that did happen
And I think you get chosen by mesprit in diamond, pearl, and platinum
Yeah they were, so at least they’re valid.
Oh yeah also the b/w stones or something adding onto gen 5
YOU NEED TO MAKE A FAN GAME MAN, SUCH GOOD IDEAS
listen, those drawings tho-
I believe the reason why you are some random nobody in pokemon games is to show that you dont have to be anyone special or have special advantages in life to be able to do great things as long as you believe in doing the right thing and keeping true to yourself and what's inside your heart is all you need to be able to do amazing things
@@joshuamillar2798 true
The story TTar suggested does all those things. It says that you’re only considered “special” because you believe in yourself and your Pokémon and in doing the right thing.
And so, your rival appears again with revenge in his eyes.
He was so desperate to win that he embraced the "evil" powers. Corrupted his own Pokemon and equipped illegal items to make sure of his victory.
Wait, TTR said Cynthia is age 34...so that means....
*Rule 34 joined the chat*
Lol
😂😂
It joined a long time ago.

F
So basically ttar wants pokemon to be a shonen jump anime 🤣
Not a bad idea tbh
My hero pokemon
DerpSaliva7 yup
That would be awesome though
@TheGreatGavino 6 yes, i am aware of how shonen works, thanks for having my joke go over your head *woosh*
I love how all of the text is lower case, it just makes it so funny to me and I don't know why
I don't think so as he has no reason to be as hood either. There is an explanation, in Sun and Moon, Gladion states that age does not matter.
they could work out the 11 year old special protagonists, helping the main guys and by plot having to deal with "imposible" fights and situations, and not just "hey you kid you can deal with all these bye"
I hear ya ttar, esp felt that when I breezed platinum in over a week during my Christmas hols, felt like it was all continuous. At least BW had seasons to change the time a bit
Damn...you killed it in this video! I LOVED IT FROM START TO FINISH!
What's one point he made?
That legendary pokemon trainer sounded like All Might lol but Im not gonna lie I would def play a game with a good story like that
itachi93674 same
Love these discussion videos, keep up dem fire uploads my dude!🔥🔥🔥
Bruh I also just realized my comment made it in. I’m amit dosanjh!😂😂
I need a main series Pokémon game with a dark souls difficulty
I Only Really Stream that ain’t gonna happen without self imposed rules. X and Y, one of the easiest games was made extremely difficult for me by implementing nuzlocke rules + limited Pokemon Center + no items in battle. As hard as it was, it was the most fun I had playing a main series game in awhile
@@gavincognion6637 We shouldn't handicap ourselves to not use options the game gives us just to make it seem more difficult. That's bad game design.
yo TTar should be a game designer
That's what I'm saying. 😮
aidan l
When I learn coding, I might hire him to write the story !
That you left Happy and Killer so long in the daycare
They are both dead. Now they are in Arceusland.
Happy is a ghost because he died, then was revived with Donkey.
@Legitimate Happy didn’t die he was arrested, Killer died.
Happy ended up on the wrong side of the tracks, and Killer was (rather ironically) killed by his own ego. Honestly, they might've been happier in the daycare lol.
This reminds me of how no NPC's ever react to when you walk around with a pokemon that was considered a literal legend.
Protagonist: Has multiple gods that control the very fabric of reality at their beck and call.
The poor saps that have to fight them: *This is fine*.
Pokemon is great but it isn’t perfect.
I love it with and without it perfection.
@Warm Lillie more like Warm Marnie
True words 👍
Absolutely true.
Cant wait for ttars new pokemon game all drawn by hand....dont let me down
Pokemon Wack's sprites for fakemon are similar... XD
This the 20 minute content I subbed for
Ttars 15 minute story that he just improvised is already better than half of the pokemon games
Eyy Ttar u lookin like a lion yoday champ!
Keep up the AMAZING work!
Love the saily uploads keep it up as long as you can and as long as you enjoy it!
When ever I have a pokemon battle I always imagine me in an awesome anime battle struggling to beat the gym leader but then when I take out one of the gym leaders Pokemon he is shocked
SwSh doesn't even compare to your animations
I'm reminded of Pokemon Wack with those drawings....Ttar should play that!
This is what SwSh does good in my opinion, you actually feel that you are actually a really good trainer as you complete the gyms and people drop out and everyone is watching you, anticipating what will happen next, you literally become a celebrity.
i always thought that the protagonist had such a good bond with pokemon that they could overcome the odds
Nice idea!
Really loving these rant/discussion vids man
At the beginning 👎🏼 “You’re on THIN ICE ttar”
Watches till the end ... 👍🏼 “you made it this far, boy-“
cønnahrr
It’s a joke- I’m acting like the people who jumped on TTar.
In reborn you r like 20 years old it makes more sense especially because you become friends with important people
Andrew Y i highly doubt you’re 20. Pretty sure you’re still a teen
@@Endermeen you have to be at least 18 because you are not taken into the lapis orphanage
Andrew Y yeah I was thinking like 18, even if it was 20+ i would love that more
And in insurgence your father who is the auger sends you mew to help you in your journy agaisnt powerful foes that you have to work hard to beat as well, fan games are better than official ones
No one can deny that yellow has special powers)
Plus, it's often implied that the pokedex is the only device that can cancel a pokemon's evolution once it's started, with the everstone being the only item that can come close by preventing pokemon from starting their evolution.
Ttar, I am BEGGING you. PLEASE upload extreme. The plot is finally getting good!
I couldn’t stop starring at his beard.
HailedSpace25 it’s bad tbh. Like it looks like pubic hair. His hairstyle needs to go too
Usually when i play a pokemon game i make an oc thats my age that i pretend i’m playing as so i can relate to the story better. But that’s just roleplaying.
I as well, hate that the pokemon protags are 11
I am pretty sure I only heard one explanation in the game and that is all trainers are equal no matter what the age
This was actually amazing. U really opened my eyes on this subject
facts pointen!
BUT...can we take a moment to appreciate the fact that Ttar's goatee and hair are glowing and fabulous? like, omg
Love that beard.
I hope someone makes a fangame on this story.
*”If you wish to defeat me, train for another 100 years.”*
Ttar really trying to make Pokemon into a Persona game.
Technoblade fan?
Dude, you're amazing! I do world and story building as a hobby and I'm jealous of your setting. I wanna play that pokemon game now!
Keep up the amazing work ^^
That ending jumpscared me and almost threw off my headphones lol.
I gotta say, ttube. you'Ve become my favourite Poketuber. I love these type of videos! Please continue making them
Lol that first response must’ve been from a troll, how does being 11 instead of 10 invalidate his point? 11 is still a child.
Yio, ive never watched the DB series (for my own reasons) but the idea you explained about the being the mysterious dudes student sounds hella amazing. id love to see how that in a future pokemon game
Wtf 11 and 10 are pretty much the same things “UGGHH no hes 11 not 10 and that means he can beat god”
🤣
Alpha_Raccoon Those people were joking.
I could barely open doors when I was 10, and when I became 11 I stabbed God with a toothpick. I don’t see the problem here.
When I was 10 I couldn't walk. When I was 11 I took down a terrorist organisation that had completely out-manoeuvred the government with only my feet and half a day of combat training. Their impeccable logic checks out.
Uhh no dude, it's 12
Hey buddy, you haven't shown up in my recommended in a long time. How have ya been Tyranitar Tube? Good seeing one of your videos again!
It's kinda like first gym leaders training for years actually getting the title leader then getting destroyed by a kid who got they pokemon like yesterday is probably higher level
T-tar: so the game should be like this...
Gamefreak: you writing this down?
10\11 year olds are every evil team's weakness
By the way, your mouse drawn visuals reminded me of Pokemon Spoof from waaaay back in the day lmaooo
Bro y r Ttars vid so rewatchable
like I’ve seen this vid like 4 times already
Youngster Joey: Beats Elite 4 with level 1 ratata.
Elite 4: Very well, you may pass
Yeszszszsz! Plot progression! Character development! Transition to greatness!!!!! Your analogy is exactly what I want TTube!!!! Sense!
Ttar you're hilarious. Thanks for making my day.🤣🤣🤣 This is how many agree.
I like this, it really explains a bunch. Also I’d totally be down for a Pokémon game like the story that you came up with.
T-Wang looking fine with dem goatee, damn!
Tyranitar you should make your own pokemon game. It would be so cool.
Your drawing isn't bad...
It's just very unique.
You still draw better with a mouse than I could ever do!
I love this video, you gave me some ideas of what I should do for the short film I wanna write and create. You're absolutely right, if they're able to take down a bad guy group and be the strongest, then show and tell why that is.
Thamill should help design the next Pokémon game’s story
ttar your not wrong but also keep in mind the ever growing short attention span. kids wont notice how powerful of a story it is because all they care about is getting back to the game im not gonna lie i was the same way spamming a through what i thought was pointless dialogue but actually missing out on some really good plots (outside of pokemon of course) And tbh i dont think the pokemon company wants to spend too much time writing these indepth stories because i believe they think this isnt the right series to focus that energy on which makes sense because what 1o year old ....oh my bad 11 year old you know gives a damn about an indepth plot??????
When pokemon tried to focus in more in depth plot stuff was in BW 2 and that game made the least amount of sales still a good game tho
