I've been on the Getaway out of NYC and love the variety of food and if I have several Specialty dinners I'll always find something to enjoy as well as numerous complimentary places to eat. I'll be on the Getaway 03Nov24.
A lot of the bars you passed looked very full with no open seats. My question is if you don’t want to wait for a seat can you just ask the bartender and drink your drink nearby and return the glass? I’d hate to have to wait. Thanks
@@toniobonet3074 I was told this by one of the workers I kept in touch with lol Thanks for the reply. I'm sorry about your experience, I too was supposed to go there first stop, then they rerouted it till the last stop and it never ended up happening. I was wondering if they gave the heads up to the next group of people boarding. I literally got off the ship last Saturday
Overall pretty good for public spaces - however make sure you get a wheelchair accessible room as that would be tricky due to the bathroom layout in a normal room
Last cruise we went on with Norwegian was 2021, I heard since then they got rid of a lot of entertainment/shows on board their ships, do you feel like this is true or did they replace those shows with new types of entertainment on board to relieve your boredom? Thanks! ^_^
In our opinion, from sailing with them in the past, it did feel as if there was less entertainment options on board. In our opinion, it was very lacking on the days that our port of calls got canceled, we were kind of blaming that on last-minute cancellation and them not being prepared however, we are starting to believe that maybe they just did take away a lot of entertainment.
Don't expect anything gourmet on Norwegian anyone. We've cruised with them since 2013 and they've gone downhill. Entertainment has been cut by at least 50%. Pool deck entertainment is almost non-existent. The buffet closes at 9:30 p.m. If you want food after that you're relegated to O'Sheehans which has crappy food. The specialty restaurants are fair at best. The filet mignon has been downgraded with fatty and tough cuts of meet. I can't recommend Norwegian. They are the Walmart of cruise lines. Nothing special. We are reevaluating our vacations with them.
Funny you say that, we felt the same way on our past cruise with them. We sailed with them for a while and it is a substantial difference from how they used to be. 100% gone down hill, such a shame.
See I guess you would probably like the FUN jungle on Carnival! Gourmet is Guy's Burger or Shaq's big chicken? Sometimes I wonder if those dark clouds above you kept you from finding anything good with NCL. Those who can't find something good on an NCL ship might be telling themselves they need to move on to the next cruise line they can find fault with.
Thanks for the video tour. I am going on a 13 night cruise on the Getaway in just 6 days from now.
You are welcome enjoy your cruise 😊

Yes you can! You can usually return the glass at any open bar doesn’t have to be the same one
Is Margaritaville not on there anymore?
Not that we saw!
Dang, they must of changed the ship a bit since 2019.
Thank you for responding!
Awesome vid!!
👍😎
Thanks for the tour. I haven’t been on this ship since 2016 and wanted to see if there were any changes. Boarding Dec 16 🤙
We are glad you enjoyed it!! Have a great cruise 😊

Time of year can make or break a cruise as the weather during the change of seasons can be turbulent.
What shows are on the Getaway
😊
They do change often! If you google Norwegian getaway entertainment- Ncl.com will show what is currently on board 😊

When we're you on-board? I heard the illusionarium was no more
We disembarked on August 9 of this year 2023. It was not used often, but it was used once for bingo, and twice for a magic show
However, I did hear that before it used to be a dinner show. It is not that anymore!
@TheCompleteCouple that's what I was wondering. I went to one and it's was great
@TheCompleteCouple yes, I saw a Cirque Dreams show called Jungle Fantasy! Excellent!
I’m wheelchair bound. How are things setup in terms of accessibility?

@@TheCompleteCouple Will do! appreciate your response:)
Yes, room 11700 is an Oceanview on the front that is nice and quiet and gives nice views like the ones on the bridge cam.
Art😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
A very small “Art Auction” area for the ship size 😂
