Cricut could just have a “Kiss Cut” setting and make things a lot easier. This is my biggest issue with this company. They make you jump through hoops just to do one step! 😡 Great tutorial on your end though thank you so much for sharing! ❤️
All vinyl and HTV settings are kiss cut settings. There are also sticker settings already in DS that are kiss cut. You may have to adjust the settings depending on the thickness/type of your sticker paper though. Test cuts are always recommended. 😊
Wanted to share a few tips with you and hopefully save you a few steps 😊. After you attach your two “sheets” there’s no need to rotate them, DS will do that automatically when you go to the cut screen. Also, if the machine is going to cut your project, there’s never really a need to turn the bleed off, it won’t negatively affect your project. As a matter of fact, if it was left on, it would’ve helped in this instance because you would’ve seen that you hadn’t flattened one correctly because you would’ve seen the bleed around that one. Lastly, it may help if you create custom cut settings with the pressure/multicut you have found works for your sticker paper etc. That way, it’s easier to find and remember what settings are for what materials. Hopefully, some of that will help make things easier for you. Great video!

The washi tape selection turned out to be too light a cut, but the sticky notes selection was perfect for kiss cut with my sticker paper (Staples). Again, thank you.

Thank you for this video. I so wanted to be able to do this. I’ve made stickers with just print and cut but really like the kiss cut method. Problem…when I went to cut, my maker would only cut around the “square” and not the stickers. I tried 4 different things and finally just deleted the square part and sent the stickers to cut and that worked ok, except they cut thru all the way…no kiss cut😒. Wondering what step I did wrong that the stickers themselves would not cut? Still need to figure out the “sweet spot” for the kiss cut. This washi sheet selection didn’t cut thru the sticker paper even after 3 times!
So when you did your images in design space, did you do the contour and flatten and then add it to your sticker backing? Also when you added them all to your sticker backing, did you flatten that as well or just attach?
A fantastic video. I am going to try this. But I don't see the link to the type of paper used. Could you tell me the name? I am having trouble with my inkjet printer & sticker paper. It wants the paper side of sticker paper to be face down. Any clues on how to change that?

OH that's a great question. Honestly, I haven't used the holographic laminate yet but I did just get some so seems like the perfect time to experiment.
I just tried this and my first attempt I didn't flatten and it began cutting parts I didn't want cut. Second attempt I flattened and it only cut out the outer rectangle. Third attempt I flattened only the stickers but not to the background and it said it could cut. I'm at a loss :(
This is how u do it: 1. Place ur image down that u want to turn into a sticker (I recommend doing one image at a time when putting multiple stickers onto per sticker sheet/sticker backing) cuz it’s easier that way! 2. Click on “offset” to put the white sticker outline over your stickers (I recommend putting the offset on 0.139) that number works the best for me:) 3. After that, click & hold down on your mouse to highlight over the sticker. Click attach & THEN flatten. (I think she mentions those tips in this video as well I believe) 4. Size down the sticker to your desired size or to fit onto your sticker backing. 5. Repeat these steps for the rest of your stickers that you choose to put onto your sticker backing & then size all of them down to get them to perfectly fit onto your sticker backing. (Watch this video again to learn about the dimensions for the sticker backing/sheet & how to place the stickers successfully on there. 6. Lastly, print the stickers out & then let ur cricut cut it out & ur done!! I really hope this helps💕💕💕
@@MiniMeags maybe you didn’t click on the option “print then cut” before u even make the stickers. Did u click on that option? Cuz “print then cut” is what prints & cuts out the stickers successfully
This paper I used doesn't state that it is and I've found that it can smear so I'd look at getting a sealant or trying a paper that specifically is waterproof.

This is great thanks for sharing! My Cricut didn’t cut the rectangle all the way through. I added a laminate on top before cutting. Do you think if I do more pressure it you’ll work?
It should. I haven't used a laminate yet but have thought about adding it to make them last longer. More pressure should definitely help cutting through though.

i’ve watched this so many times but my cricut only cuts out the border (background) of the sheets and not the actual stickers, i can’t figure out what i did wrong
@@emilyalmonte6150 before you attach ur cut image to everything else duplicate your cut image aka the layer that will be cut to make ur sticker shapes, click edit, set it as a cut layer, it’s gives you an option to make it a color it can be any color since it will be hidden, then send that layer to the back and then attach everything. check in ur layers n it will be named cut layer, or if anything it’ll be named something w the word cut in it. mine says basic cut for me :)
@ around 8:46 in the vid she adds her cut image (the sticker shapes that will be cut) and she sends that to the back, for the ipad you have to duplicate your sticker cut image (set is as cut ) and send that to the back, the other sticker cut image will remain on top and the stickers will cut out !
Great video ! Just a question 🙋🏻♀️ everything cut as it should be the problem I had was the sticker’s didn’t cut properly, they were off if that makes sense, my Cricut cut them off centre. Could anyone shed some light on this please ? 😊
Oh yes, I have that happen all the time. To fix it I have to recalculate my Cricut...there is a whole process where you print out a sheet to use and align the registration marks to get it to realign.
Amazing video. I have been trying so hard to do the backing sheet. One question? If I wanted the backing sheet with my name etc on would I just change it to a print then cut rather than a basic cut?
Great tutorial!! It's literally the only one that has worked these last couple weeks I been trying. The only issues I have is that it cuts the 2 squares perfectly (besides leaving a small white part of the paper exposed, but I think that's because I should've left the bleed on), but it didn't cut the 2 boxes down the middle, so it left it as one square. Another issue is that it didn't cut the actual designs out into stickers, so I just have one big square as a sticker instead of cutting it in the middle and making individual stickers lol. If anyone can help with this, it'd be very much appreciated.

Hi Julie, since we're using a light cutting selection (washi) we want to make sure the machine is kind of tricked into cutting all the way through with multiple passes.
@@thecraftygrrl Why not just use a setting that makes one pass and doesn’t cut through the backing? I use light card stock for my printable vinyl and it’s one copy, one pass.

use removable sticker paper as your material, it has always "kiss cut" for me. I use the actual sticker type if I want individual stickers cut through

Try using the washi tape setting. That will make them just peel off the sheet

You would want to flatten each sticker individually and then attach them to the background.
This is how u do it:

I ran it 4 times with the square I think I can bring it down to 2-3 with a Cricut maker 3 in washi setting

You have to flatten to cut stickers. She ended up mentioning toward the end that she forgot to flatten a few.

You can totally just use a square. I like the look of rounded corners. So weird that your design space doesn’t have it.

@@thecraftygrrl Yeah, I mean I thought that was what the "pressure wheel' and materials setting was for? So you can adjust how much pressure was needed for the type of material you were using? I'm new to this so still learning.
