Brilliant stuff as always, mate. Was chuckling at the idea that having your tip rod at an angle with the line is now considered old skool (by some) 😄 Have a very merry Christmas and a fish filled new year 🎣
Hahaha I know not many people do it now do they! Thank you John and hope you have a great Christmas mate!
Nice one Jamie, i like the band in the corn Thank you,
Thanks James mate!
Great film again Jamie.. typical winter fishing but really good to watch.. I quite enjoy the discipline in using one bait, I find it focuses and hones the finer techniques … thanks Jamie , merry Christmas 🎄
Thank you Chris and I hope you have a great Christmas mate!
Got some of them lightweight bombs in early December and did the same rig as you' dead simple and so easy to use' had 6 bream in 45 mins on sweetcorn' then nothing for 2 hours but then hit a decent roach another good bream a beautiful little 3lb crucian carp.... All on the exact rig and tackle your using.
Really good video by the way and I've subscribed 👍
Oh that sounded like a great session especially in winter!!!! Thanks for watching and thanks for the sub Mr Thomas :):)
Great video, Jamie. I like the corn hooking tips. Hope your Dad is well and have a great Xmas and all the best for 2025 👍🎅🏼🎣
Really enjoyed it jamie. Nice F1s on cold.looking forward to next one.
Thank you Terry mate!
Thanks for the content as always Jamie. Have a great Christmas
Thank you Nathan have a great Christmas mate!
Thanks Jamie great video with many tips for this old new Angler. I think I am guilty of not giving fish more credit for being clever in avoiding the tasty bait I am feeding them 😉😂. How long is a session for you in the Winter ! Ted
I really enjoy your posts so informative and well explained thank you for taking the time to make such good content
Thank you Charlie!

Thank you Colin!
Great Video, Informative and enjoyable as always.
Great winter video ... would like to know what landing net handle you are using Jamie please looked well strong ...thx
Thank you! I was using the Matrix Aquos Power Handle here's the link www.fishmatrix.co.uk/home/product/matrix-aquos-power-landing-net-handle?c=nets-handles
It would be great to see you tackle a small natural venue something like a standard fishing club stillwater. Keep up with the great videos
Thank you and yes I've some plans to fish some waters like that :)
Great thank you. Could you go a bit south to Derby lakes like Longford fishery? Thanks
It would be nice to see you tackle a small natural venue something like a standard fishing club stillwater that hasn't got F1s. What would your approach be?
I've got some videos like that planned Mark so hopefully you'll like those when they're uploaded :)
Hi this is not a criticism in any way more a question. I was always told before handing fish you should wet your hand as it’s less of a shock to the fish regarding the temperature difference. Any thoughts on this please. Really enjoy your videos thanks 😊
I know exactly what you mean but it's not something that ever seems to have been a problem. To be honest, when catching fish like these especially in a match I wouldn't even handle them. We tend to just use the disgorger to unhook them and then transfer them to the keepnet using the landing net if that makes sense?
Personally, having caught thousands and thousands of fish, the temperature difference really isn't an issue. As Jamie said, they are barely handled, and when they are I've never seen any problems.
More worryingly is when anglers use a towel to handle fish, removing any protective slime from the fish.
Yes agree with Jamie. Handling them briefly, effectively and efficiently is most important. I’ve seen people hold them in a landing net, posing for photos, tipping water over them and generally messing about.
I’m an avid angler and always sensitive to fish welfare issues but I find it odd to think that someone would strike a hook into a fishes mouth and then drag it through the water much against its will and then sit their worrying about the temperature of their hand before touching the fish ???
How close are these pegs! Unbelievable
Hi Jamie what determines the length of hook link on commercials this time of year when after carp and F1s. Happy Christmas
Hi Stephen, I've just found that I've caught more on a 30cm hooklength with bomb and corn this winter and hope you have a great Christmas mate!
Thank you, sorry I forgot yesterday happy Christmas to dad too
which stop watch & attachment to fit to the searbox?
It's the Matrix Clicker and it comes with a screw fitting so that it can be mounted on the legs of your box here's the link www.fishmatrix.co.uk/home/product/matrix-digital-clicker?c=accessories
Oh its a,commercial fishery never mind. Hook a duck fishing
Plenty more to come on natural venues Steve :)
Tackle advertising catches more anglers than fish , i haven't watched actual fishing got fed up waiting
If I don't show the tackle I use Derek I get inundated with emails and questions about what I've used but sorry if it's spoilt the viewing for you.
Is the shop all your own Jamie? All proceeds to you?
The store is all 'print to order' so the lions share goes to the store for the service but I'm the only one that gets any 'profit' :)
@@CatchFishingChannelthat's good to know. I will take a look through.
