That would be an insane first White Water experience! Great job team👏
Insane indeed hahhaha
Great action, your buddy loved it. He had a smile the whole time.
Thanks my friend! yeah he liked it! lol
That was wild Marty. It was refreshing to see the level headedness while in the thick of it (the "stick to what we know") because in times like that it is easy to feel the pressure of being behind a day and have those emotions take over and cause bad decissions. Thanks for sharing!
Thanks for watching!!! Yup Stick to what we know is always a good approach!
Dude that was nuts! Unfortunately when youre living life this hard, it comes at a cost! Gear comes and goes but those adventures are forever!!
gear wear the scars of your adventures!
For the bilingual people out there...Luc's breakfast description is hilarious!!
right!? hahaha
Wow! What a wild trip man. Crazy footage you captured as well. Happy no one was hurt. Thanks for sharing dude.
Thanks bro!
Your friend needs to keep his helmet on! :) Great adventure, thanks for posting!
He needs to bring a helmet! Lol
Wow, toute une aventure!!! Pas facile cette rivière. Good job! 👍🏻
non pas facile!! lol
Crazy video Marty, action is the universal language.
haha Thanks My Friend!!!
Wicked River wild Adventure 👊🏾👊🏾
Thanks :)
impressive! its really stylish and cool to paddle class 3 with a canoe, but risky. have you considered a packraft style canoe like the alpackaraft forager?
Never to be honest. Maybe at one point we will. Running Class 3 rapids in canoes is a really common practice though but you do need the skill level for it!
That all looked challenging yet stayed level headed and tackled it. I picked up on one tiny thing I saw ya do that I'm not sure I've ever seen - connecting a hammock tie out to a loop on a tarp. Makes sense and great use when it's just for pulling it out.
oh nice catch!!! yup you do that for your head and your feet on oposite sides and it's awseome!!!!
@@martymorissette I've always gone straight to the ground. Now I think I need a night out tomorrow to test out this way.
@@bucky716 the best is shock cord that you would attached to the tarp like that!!! straight to the tarp
That was crazy!!!
Your bowman is the best flat water paddler I’ve ever seen 🤣
well we all have to learn at some point! lol
@@martymorissette
That’s very true. I can still hear the echo of my father yelling at me some 50 years later 😂
lol
I do this to everyone, as it is my thing, but... it may be time for you to give canoe poling a try. I know that you didn't do the lining here, but it would have been an interesting poling opportunity, with some skills. About time to add that to the mix. I am enjoying your videos.
Yeah one day I’ll have to try poling. I just really enjoy paddling larger rapids!
@@martymorissette So do I. Just suggesting another skill for when things aren't ideal. I'm gonna hit that river, too! :)
C'était malade en ta... et de voir ton coéquipier en avant crier comme si il était à la Ronde dans un manège 😅
😂😂😂 les bras dans les aire oui! Hahaha
Wow quite the river. Pretty crazy. Question, why not use a spray deck on the boat?
Hey Ted! Thanks. I don't use a spray deck because I don't have one to be honest! It would be sooooo much better to have it in such a big river
@@martymorissette thanks. Been debating in investing in one. Good to get opinions before I plunk down the monies
@@graveltravelcanada It's part of the plan for me for sure!
Salut Martin, did you guys ever get back home? lol. Just curious if you have fottage of the rest of the trip or because of the hardship you just didnt capture it and focused on getting home safe and sound. Let me know because we are probably gonna do this river next year. Thanks for all the content that you do even in the super hard times. #redcanoecrew
Salut,
yeah I did film the last day but never got around to putting it together. There isn't much of a story to tell it was a 30km of fun white water, one portage of a class 4 and one lining of the last ledge. But the last day went really well! I'll try to get to editing the last video eventually.
