    Great work Chris, a true talent to get all the angles with the camera and editing that you do for us. Great to have a customer who has the room and forward thinking to stock pile the wood. I can see a couple of log truck loads in your future. Not sure if Ken reads the comments but wanted to pass on a hello to him as well. Would be neat to see the 22MB on a road trip to Ken’s wood yard. Busy guys and takes a bunch of work to make it happen though. Good Night Irene.

      @InTheWoodyard  Місяць тому

      Much appreciated! Thanks for the kind words. The 22mb weighs 18,000 pounds and Ken is 200 miles away, my truck can tow 9,900 pounds.

    @gsmiley7700 Місяць тому +1

    Hopefully helpful observation… a good say 75% of the time the last round of each log gets turned sideways making you get up and turn it in the splitter chute while you are at an awkward angle. If you just put the blue tilting table in the up position, then advance the last round onto the table you can simply lower it straight into the splitter chute. Hope it helps.

    Great video Chris. Fantasic camera work. The big girl working is always a pleasure to watch. Hope it continues. The lady laying in that wood sure is a forward thinker. I had a lot of "last minute Charlies" wanting dry,seasoned wood after winters first frost had hit. And they'd be exactly the same the following year. Cheers from HB NZ

    They are stacking faster than you can process! Those last cuts just do not want to center up on the splitting chamber in these long lenghts.🙄 Wonder how much shorter you would need to go inorder to stop that happening each log? Thanks for the video, Mr.Chris!👍

    It has been stifling hot in Ohio the last 2 days, supposed to have thunderstorms today and cool off. Hope I can cut some wood the next few days. Your voice sounds rough, are you feeling, OK? Anything that can happen, it will, sooner or later. We have only had one day of rain in the last 3 weeks in SE Ohio. Our gardens were suffering. Got a good soaking rain on Sun. it helped a lot. That is the way to cut wood with a processor, no resplits, no handling by hand. Just load it, split it and trailer it. It is nice that you can tailor the length to the customer's needs.

    Hey Chris, I have a question for you. As I was watching the last round of those big logs sometimes fall down sideways would raising or leaving the platter up catch those large logs and allow it to fall down into the trough a little more consistent for splitting? Watching the video it looks like they would roll into the trough so you don't have to get up and try and manhandle those big logs to get them oriented for splitting. Just my observation. Right or wrong some of those are some massive oak logs.

    • @InTheWoodyard
      @InTheWoodyard  Місяць тому

      Yup, you are correct, I should have done that.

  • @squirrelrelocator

    Something I notice with the touchless technique of tractor bucket and elevator straight intu .the trailer It seems like you end up delivering more scraps. It might just be a trade off you are willing to put up with to avoid a touch or maybe I just never noticed the scraps before. Could be this is such a special order it is not worth avoiding

    • @InTheWoodyard
      @InTheWoodyard  Місяць тому +1

      She was okay with the scraps and was well aware of it with the boiler wood...she will burn it all.

  • @kurtloftfield4537
    @kurtloftfield4537 Місяць тому +1

    Hey Chris, when you get to the end of the log and trim it to length would it work better to raise the support ramp to lower the last piece into the splitter? It seems like you have to jump up and align the piece with the splitter. That jumping up and down would wear me out over a splitting session!
