About the communication, Like you said, it was great. i had a question for Mike, and got a response right away. Answered my question and told me why. Watching this great video, now i really cant wait to start playing it. There is so much depth to this, and yet seems simplified to a point it might be easy to learn and get going.
I'm so caught between this and Dungeon Universalis, but the apparent lack of random dungeon / quest generation of Universalis kind of put me off. Am looking for something like the original WHQ to share with my son ... I'd get both, but y'know ... can't afford that. Well, can't afford either really! 🤣 However, I think the shared memories will be worth the what ever sacrifice will be necessary. Anyways, was hoping you could share something of the dungeon / quest generation system/s when you can.
I bought a print and play version of the game way back in 2021…I guess that things have changed until this version because I can’t find anywhere in my rulebook about weapons restrictions based on character races…or anything about weapons categorized by levels…
If you had to make a choice of this versus dungeon universalis, which would you value more for long time replayability and character development ? Looking to buy one great dungeon crawler with tax returns. Tough to decide on so many good games.
The problem is I love them both for different things and I’m not getting rid of either one of them out of my collection. They both have their place I know that’s not a great answer but it’s an honest one.
I would give a slight edge to DUN myself, but I completely agree with Rob, you gotta have them both in my opinion. Get whichever you can better afford now, and get the other later ;)
Thanks for the replies, did some looking at game contents and I think LoD wins that with the massive standups and good tiles. They both have great crawl gameplay. Watching more vids to how they both go on long term replays.
Hi Rob coincidently working on my mech collection 7 Stars and 8 Lances + 4 legends and a few exyras(as will be demoing Alpha Strike at a large local con (BeachHead 2023). Cant seem to chat. Keen to get my hands on this version of Lod, own the previous print on demand and pdf version. It was good but the new one is next level. Use Modular Realms magnetic tiles for dungeons, for outside use battle systems terrain, plus trees, hills and mats, and small dungeon set from Easy Dungeon(cool magnetic 16 x 11 magnetic mats.
@@rsilva7038 Before the original kickstarter, the game was available as a print and play. I purchased it then (2 yrs ago I think). Unfortunately the print and play is not available anymore.
2:30 sorry, but I hold a firm belief that pure chocolate chip is better than chocolate and raisin. Better yet, use butterscotch chips instead of chocolate. That caramel sweetness is... *mua* to die for.

I will cause you can do it
@Rob's Tabletop World That'd be brilliant, thank you! BTW, for what it's worth, the construction noise didn't seem that intrusive to me.

I think DUN is more sandboxy and also geared towards running it with a DM, isn't it?

Awesome video, Rob. I found this as a print and play and so glad I got into the kickstarter! Can't wait to play this.
I got more videos coming out. I hope you enjoy them. Thank you.
Where did you get the print and play?
