I was lucky enough to drive a 997 for a few laps around a circuit in UK 🇬🇧 last weekend. That was a normal road car. Like a snail compared to yours eh? 😂 thank you so much, Dirk. You are the master 🤘

Love that video! Would it be profitable to wait before the second run so the brakes can heat up the new tyres just like they do in DTM? Or don't you have enough time for that during the session?

Is the brake telemetry accurate as to the actual pressure you're applying? I understand you don't want to lock up, but it seems max pressure - even in the hard braking zone - was no more than 60%. Thanks for posting these and teaching us!
Dirk, you mentioned that you put the brake bias forward because of a heavy braking zone ahead (5:28). Can you explain because I always experienced a shorter braking distance with a brake bias set more to the rear. Hairpin at end of a long straight for example. thanks!

Hey! It’s mainly setup and there could be minor differences in the cars, buy mainly setups.
The car looks very wobbly/tippy-toeing in the fast corners and when hitting apexes, or is it just the camera angle/mounting? Advice for commentary: Its ok to have little more optimism in the monologue 🙂 ( being too excited will not cause you to crash a podcast, its ok, podcasts don't crash 🙂)

Hello I'm 14 years old and want to do motorsport what training do I have to do? And what age can I start?
You mentioned that the tyres are expensive. Do you pay for them or did you just mean that the team didn't want to run new tyres in sessions that didn't absolutely need them to save costs? I presume the latter?

Have you got TC and ABS when you race? Simracer say you have it because Porsche create this 600hp car to race with TC and ABS. This thing surprise me because Hill climb and rally racer haven't got any electronic help

Thanks mate! We don’t have abs, so it’s really easy to lockup the tyres, that’s why we don’t go over 75 bars of pressure
meaning you go really light on brake pedal or you have somehow the car setup so you brake "normally" force-wise but it transfer to less pressure applied on the brakes? sorry, if stupid question@@dirkschoutenracing

Loved the video. Was great to get your commentary about the methods of tire warming and preparing to qualify. Maybe someday I can see the Hockenheimring. I just did a couple multiclass IRACING races there last week and on the second one I got killed by a prototype in the hairpin when he missed his brake point. Check out my POV:
