- So recently Out of Ore has had an update that added some pretty amazing dynamite to the game. Draemite allows you to burrow into the earth so I thought it would be fun to utilize this and the other explosives to test if I can use explosives only to extract rare-earth materials. About Out of Ore:
A casual heavy equipment experience that is a "Work in progress" and developed by a solo dev / equipment operator
You are sent out to the most northen base "Company Mining Corp" has,
and its up to you to prospect for ore, mine it and sell it to earn a profit.
Build roads, bridges and tunnels to connect the base to other bases
Take risk by getting big loans to buy equipment and tools
The building system allows you to build pretty much anything you want
or use the vehicles and equipment to demolish it.

The explosion destroy the ores, Drae. If you were to explode a vein, the ore will became smashed rock or something like that.
Blasted rock and it's worthless
Yeah the dev frequents the steam community discussions and has stated that explosives just produce blasted rock, which can be put into a crusher to produce gravel. The sorter/trommel is also only useful for paydirt. Any other materials you're going to be wasting them if you aren't dumping them straight into the sellpoint.

To be fair it is an explosive and Drea does like his explosives
Drea If you press shift and try and move something in your inventory, as long as you have 2 or more you can duplicate it
Leave it up to Drae to fail with the conveyors and replace them with a dump truck train, when it cut to that i was like "Oh god, here we go hes about to blow up all them trucks somehow..." 🤣
Drae. Even on an ore vein, it just turns thr ore into "blasted rock" and you lose all your yields
1. Use Draemites to build tunnel.
2. Build conveyor highway.
3. Use dozer to push mounds onto conveyor highway.
4. Profit.
5. Happy Drae.

I think the line of conveyor belts in the trench would work very well. Instead of tnt though, use the bulldozer to push in all the stuff above it.

i mean the idea with the conveyer belt was really great . Maybe first build some mountains on a side then drill the belt-area and just push the mountains onto the belt with a dozer? :D

Loose dirt and rock like after an explosion takes up more space than when it was compacted in the ground. Real explosions do not destroy dirt and stone, they only loosen it. Also the greased nipples refers to the Zerk grease fittings found on most machinery commonly referred to as grease nipples.
This episode has big science chaos vibes, I love it!
I wonder if processing plants make a huge difference in sell-value for dirt/ore/stone.

Drae, if you line that "tunnel" with conveyors again, try and use a bulldozer on top to push dirt onto the conveyors.
Worth a shot.
In real life when you blow up stuff for mining, after everything is settled there is about 30% "more" in volume because the clay/soil and whatnot is no longer compact and loose and I think that's what NMC is trying to simulate.

I'm pretty sure the various explosives have different characteristics. The term "High Explosive" actually means something. It means that the speed at which the energy of the blast travels is considered fast for explosive standards. That ends up just shredding through things and destroying them into tiny bits. On the opposite end, there are Low Explosives that explode with a slower blast velocity in comparison. They typically end up breaking and shoving material around more. TNT is a high explosive and ANFO is considered to be a low explosive. TNT would typically be used more for solid rock, not soil. Soil has been shifted using ANFO blasts, but it's all on what you are wanting to do/what you are blasting.

Dynamex consists of dinitroglycol absorbed in wood flour. It is a cheaper alternative to dynamite. Dynamex has a lower freezing point than dynamites +13 °C, and is therefore less sensitive to shock than dynamite and safer to handle in cold environments. Dynamex is plasticky and easily formed into the commercial form of cylinders wrapped in paper coated with paraffine.
Pretty common to be used for rock blasting here in cold northern Europe.
I thought you were going to "build a mountain" then push it off the edge onto the conveyors
It do seem like the dynamite turns over the soil. So anything that was under the top layer, now is in the pile.
So you could just use the loader to scoop it up after you blow up the ground :)
My good sir! Just explode the rock into mounds close to the drop off and push the rock with a dozer into the drop off! Big fan btw 🙂

In the inventory screen above your inventory theres a large button that says "Rescue back to camp"
Funny, five seconds after you mentioned not being able to find any character reset button its literally right in front of yourface 😂
Drae! you probably figured it out by now but in case, at 3:35 see that "rescue back to camp" top left = reset character or if you have a vehicle you can "jump" in it from anywhere, press Q select the vehicle, and click drive.
Drae the dynamite etc created mounds because it’s blasted dirt just UA-cam mining blasts .. you can’t make a hole without removing the dirt but I’m loving this dearies x❤❤
Blowing up compacted earth would leave a mound of loose packed earth, that's probably the first time dynamite has been represented properly.

Drae you know if you were to put the dynamite overtop of each other it stacks so you only need to use 1 inventory slot. You can do this for everything else too😊
Character reset is the "Rescue back to camp" text on the top of your inventory btw
ANFO is ammonium nitrate and fuel oil. It’s generally a homemade high explosive.

I bought this game man and played for like an hour and it fried my monitor. Definitely needs a lot of work.
You can press q and go to a vehicle you own and select "Drive" and it will transport you to your vehicle. You can use this when you are stuck.

Drae if you use the ripper on the back of the dozer in the ground you want to doze, it'll make dozing it a lot easier

FYI - I've seen someone else (who knows you, but I forgot the name) play with this new update and Dreamite doesn't produce the ore but only blasted dirt (or some other useless non-ore) so you won't get rich like that, but it's a good way to open a path I guess

Its says alot about drae that he'd rather add a dump truck under his failed conveyor rather than scoot it back to be over the sale point

Slightly less lazy way which also may not work, blow up the ground to build your dirt mountains, then blow a trench next to it and whack the conveyors in it, then bulldoze the dirt onto them
you could build a deep trench with the belts and push dirt into it from above with a bulldozer
Real Civil Engineer tested the explosive mining and it's not worth it. All of your truck load will be "Blasted Rock".

Pause menu and top left says rescue to camp and stack your explosives in inventory haha
Use the explosives right next to the selling grate. Build a big pile then just push it in with a big tractor.

Have you never watched Gold Rush ? Build dirt ramps, so you can get higher ground with your dozers and excavators to load shit.
you can use the cheap dirt to make ramps as well, probably need to slap it flat though

Explosives doesn't necessary remove material, it just makes it easier to remove solids, so I guess the game works properly.
All of the equipment... conveyors..crushers, hoppers.... steal money 💰 I've had $200,000 from a load of lithium before, straight from the dumper into sell point...but going through the machines your lucky to get $40,000
The explosives will stack in your inventory

Drae....u can stack the draemite up to 99. Also press Q to pull up a menu an u can switch to a vehicle
If you get stuck open your inventory look to the top left for the “ Rescue Back To Base” button

Draemite a trench to put the conveyors in then use a dozer to push product from the top side. Obviously would only work as long as the dozer can clear the top frame of the conveyors but could work?

drae cant you make a deep tunnel with conveyors and then explode the materials above it so it will drop into the conveyors without destroying your conveyors, so from under to above; conveyor, empty space, material, dynamite.
