yes totally agree, Reigan should of won but it seems that to me that Politics took over in this show and Danni Minogue helped Ronan win with Marlisa because Ronan helped Danni win in 2013. Marlisa Voice did not even come close to Reigan and now both of them even though eventually signed to Sony Music both of them are delisted FSR which is very sad. Its very hard in the OZ music Industry, so many great artists just dont get their break and we are suffering.

Jay - I am an American (sports broadcasts) producer and, full disclosure, I am friends with Marlisa Punzalan's parents (and Marlisa's singing coach) and asked Marlisa to come to the US to perform at a Super Bowl event in San Francisco (with, among others, Snoop Dogg)… I don't know Reigan Derry at all (I do know Marlisa, now, fairly well) and I am of the opinion that the best performance by anyone during this 2014 XFactor Australia contest was Reigan's Week 4 performance (Marlisa's "Titanium" was a close second)… While I cannot "get into the minds" of everyone who voted throughout this competition, I can tell you that, as a fellow producer myself, that Marlisa had one additional (subtle) "edge" over Reigan and Dean. Marlisa simply is a very LIKABLE young lady... Now, I'm not saying Reigan Derry is not (likable), nor Dean Ray... But if we polled 1,000 people and showed clips of these three - with no singing, just excerpts of their personalities - I feel fairly confident that a plurality would think Marlisa was (is) the most "likable"... When we are looking for on air talent (to broadcast a game), we are dealing with already proven, capable talent... What will separate them will be one more "ingredient"... Will people "like the person"?... I honestly believe more Australians were "rooting" for Marlisa (than Reigan or Dean)… And, in truth, if you had the chance to meet Marlisa Punzalan in person, you would come away from that meeting being similarly impressed... She was (and is) everything everyone sensed during this XFactor contest... Humble, shy and respectful.

Thanks for putting this clip together, such a great talent and beautiful as well. I've read a few of the comments which reckoned she should of won. I'm not sure how these shows work but a manager would be asking for cut of the profits as I'm sure these shows make a ton of money and these shows would be nothing without the contestants. Just a thought, hope they are paid in some way for sharing their talent which keeps these shows going year after year.

Years after and I still get frustrated with these shows knowing something isn’t quite right with the way obvious winners are somehow eliminated for lesser talent to get through.
She reminds me a lot of Haley Reinhart who in my opinion is the best American Idol ever, yet she only finished third. Anyway, I hope she makes it in the industry. It's a very tough industry.

redfoo was a really bad mentor. every year he was on show he messed up all his acts. if Ronan was her mentor, she would have done better. also, danii did her dirty so her band of brothers got through. finals should have been reigan, marlisa, and dean. the brothers were okay but no where near as good as those 3. I also heard she was getting contract and they didn't want to be tied to the winners contract.
Reigan not winning was one of the biggest robberies in Australian reality TV history. She was everything the music industry needed; incredible voice, pretty, marketable and humble. Her performances are so incredibly moving. Dannii felt threatened by Reigan and voted against her in each live decider, ultimately enough to cost her the win. Funnily enough out of all those in the Top 5 from this series, Caitlyn Shadbolt has actually gone on to have the most successful career. She's released 4 albums and currently writing a fifth, another underated singer. I hope we hear more from Regian, she is too talented to not hear more from. I still to this day feel so annoyed that Reigan didn't win.

My favorite songs was when it was just her and you can actually get to know her from her singing like the judges said in her audition. Then they just hide her such a shame, but I still wish she won.
I am a Dead Head, love Eric Clapton and CSNY, all this stage crap is why I think she did not make it to the end. Show said she did not like all the fluff when she was in Scarlet Girls, why did she let them put her back there, she should have held her ground on how she wanted to present herself.
They dressed her up in some weird outfits and did some strange stage performances. My favorite contestant is and always will be the UK's X Factor Louisa Johnson

Her Wikipedia says she was dropped by Sony on March 2016. So she may have to move to the USA to have a career.
