Ah yes, the pull up.. The strength exercise, which i naturally progress the hardest at by far. I am struggling since maybe 5 or 6 months to get past the 10 rep barrier. All these bodyweight methods have not worked for me somehow, tried greasing the groove for so long. I may have overworked the enquired muscles at that method, naturally being the training-stereotype that has to look out for not putting too much work in.. But however starting with weighted pullups could be my game changer. Couldn't get past 10 bw reps at my latest strength test still, which is quite frustrating, but i am right at the edge of that barrier. The tests before have been like 9, 10, 8 and now 10 again for pullups. The good thing is that the reps felt really easy to do, probably because the 1 rep max has gone up from 28.75 to 32.5. (Btw: that's my result of Lee's 8 week training cycle, i'll leave a more detailed comment on that video soon)
Good Luck to everyone who struggles with pullups, it's all about finding the training method, that YOU get the best results with

Awesome comment buddy and Thats an awesome jump in the weight increase on your weighted pull ups. Yes try the weighted pull ups and add them in. Sometimes doing too much can actually make you regress and taking time off from it or doing a different variation can help

@@LeeDowningKeat thank you! yeah, usually switching between variations every few weeks/months helps a lot. For pull ups, i tried chin ups and this variation that you have to put your head like left side, right side, left side again according to the position of the bar. Also i added some one handed dead hangs to my routine to improve grip strength, but couldn't get more than 10 reps in a set all the time when i tested. Next I'll do another 8 week cycle of your program. I feel like at the next test then, i'll be able to go past 10. Btw 4-5 years ago, i did more like a traditional weight lifting training style and my pb in pull ups back then was 14, but i also was 5-8kgs lighter and i bet my form was not as goog as it is today. So that's good for the mindset, that i've already achieved it once.

In a set? Max has been 22, right now I’m not sure as I normally do lower rep work. Max weighted pull ups is 60kg and 40kg for 5x5
