Your channel is SOOOO underrated Thanks for uploading, even if the response is not as big as your work deserves. Thanks for helping Earth in so many ways, we need to be more like you.
Thank you for making this video. It was helpful to see the results on someones actual skin. I ordered some Butter Me Up sunscreen after watching and can't wait for it to arrive. I haven't worn sunscreen in years because of all the nasty chemicals in them. I'm glad there are so any good options.
This is the video I've been dreaming of!! Just wanted to note since you didn't go over ingredients really, I looked these up as I was watching the video and I think all of them except for Sea & Summit have coconut oil in them. I get it as an ingredient for a product kept in a tin to keep it like, solid, but it sucks for those of us with sensitive skin who break out really easily but also want to be as environmentally friendly, and beautiful, as possible. Guess I know which one I'll be buying!
Actually be careful about applying sunscreen thinly! Sunscreen works by creating a layer of a tested thickness and if you don't use enough you don't actually reach the spf level!
I definitely need sunscreen because I'm white as hell and live in southern California...but I stay away from it because I HATE the smell for my daily use. I'll for sure look into a few of these
It’s hard to keep them all straight when you do so many. Talking a little fast - maybe out the name of the brand you’re talking about on the screen. Love your videos tho. Thanks 😊
@@TheSimpleEnvironmentalist I’ve tried some but the amount you get for the price is just too high especially for the amount of sunscreen you should be using so it’s not cost effective for me plus mineral sunscreens dry my already dry skin out and these are so oily for my skin since I live in a fairly humid climate in the north east and during winter these dry me out so bad and then leave a greasy film on my skin. Zero waste and natural are different to me because I’m not a fan of “natural” like essential oils that so many of these products also use which are resource intensive and use a ton of water and distilling in alcohol to be made. I just wish there were options because mineral isn’t for everyone.
@@pattycarljackson that's totally fair, I agre they don't last the longest. I work indoors all day so I don't need to spf my whole body every day. I agree too and avoid essential oils as they really aren't eco. many of these are scent free tho!
@@TheSimpleEnvironmentalist I just don’t like mineral sunscreen for my skin and it’s only for certain people not even darker skin people can use them. Im loving the channel great videos.
@@TheSimpleEnvironmentalist yes but I regret all the plastic bound makeup I bought when I was younger. If you ever see teen magazines there’s tons of makeup ads. The makeup industry makes tons of plastic waste a year. I hope that changes. I don’t want to criticize any specific person just the waste.
@@shaunaburton7136 i get that now, but your original comment suggested otherwise. I agree there is a lot of plastic involved but there is plastic is all industries

does this depend on how frequently you apply it?
@@TheSimpleEnvironmentalist You need 1/2 tsp on your face to reach the SPF as your sunscreen is labeled. The same goes for your neck.
I love your very indetailed thoughtful review. It helped me so much :) Thank you Emma!
thanks!
Adding this to my skincare playlist AND sustainability playlist. Thanks!!!
ahh thank you!!
Yay for reef safe!! So glad there are so many other options out there👏👏
there are so many!
This only just appeared for me as the UK is going into Autumn so will stock up on sustainable sun screams next year 🤣 ty for the video!
You can use sunscreen all year!
you *need* to be wearing sunscreen all year round!
I watch your videos from Brazil and love them! I cheer for your channel keep growing :)
thank you so much! feel free to spread the word :)
This is cool! I have never tried any of these. Sunscreen is something you can't diy.
so true!
Are the aluminum packages using recycled aluminum or virgin materials?
GREAT question and ssomething we always need to look at! In this case, I think it's virgin. Perhaps I will write to them about changing it :)
I want to try the Raw love. I don't think I would use it on the face but on my arms and legs.
it works everywhere!
I definitely need sunscreen because I'm white as hell and live in southern California...but I stay away from it because I HATE the smell for my daily use. I'll for sure look into a few of these
These have little to no fragrance!
The whipped body butter looks great. The titanium and zinc can really clump up.
it is clumpy!
Love your reviews :)
thanks, Sasha!

honestly haha! I always talk fast, feel free to slow the speed of the video :) names of the brands are in thedescription :)
Can you make a video one which fabric is sustainable
perhaps :)
Great review!! Thank you!
aww thank you!
If you rub the sunscreen in your hands really well and then apply you avoid the white cast. But some sunscreens it is just unavoidable
oooh I will try that, thanks!
This was the Review I was waiting for! But finding a reef safe sunscreen is so haed in Brazil... If anyone knows a Brand from here please Tell me!
Best of luck! I think most of these ship worldwide though :)
Wish there were zero waste chemical sunscreens.
you don't wan to try these natural ones? They work just as good!
