  • The Isle of Vatersay is the southernmost inhabited island of the Scottish Outer Hebrides. It's part of the island chain known as the Western Isles and is linked by a causeway to the neighbouring island of Barra. Vatersay is renowned for its natural beauty, with stunning landscapes, pristine beaches, and abundant wildlife. The island measures around 3.4 miles from north to south and 3 miles from east to west.
Its white sandy beaches, including East Beach and West Beach, are some of its most striking features, where you can often spot seals basking on the rocks. The island is also home to a significant number of bird species, making it a haven for birdwatchers.
