I plan to move back next year! ❤
Your words surprised me. Because according to my understanding of Westerners, even Western colonialists admit that China is much safer than their countries, but they usually add a sentence at the end. "China is not free", "China cannot smoke marijuana", "Chinese people do not have the right to hold guns" and so on. But these things are absolute advantages in the eyes of the Chinese. And your words made me realize that Western media will even attack "China is not safe"! ! ! !

To hear you talk about China in such a positive and open-minded outlook made me so happy. I am a Chinese girl growing up in New Zealand - although we are a very culturally diverse country, prejudices against China are still highly prevalent especially fuelled by Covid-19. Thank you so much reminding everyone to soften their distinctions and to question their internal biases when exploring a foreign and oriental country. Lots of love for your videos - I discovered this channel a couple months ago and have been a huge fan since.
I am living in Beijing China for 7 years and totally love it, never felt unsafe and had wonderful experiences. China is absolutely a diverse country, can find everything you want and do whatever you want (as long as it's the right thing, without disturbing the public order).
Hi Morgan! I am from Shanghai, and it is absolutely amazing to see that you are in my hometown! I really appreciate your openness and non-judgmental attitude towards our culture, people, and the city in general. You even think that women with the orange was entertaining 🤣 I LOVE IT. I hope you have a wonderful time and enjoy everything Shanghai has to offer:)

So many people tend to romanticize europe but not as many people romanticize visiting China so seeing this truly makes me so proud
I recently went to Shanghai and it was so fun seeing you visit Jing An District / going to places I explored too. I love how you researched about Shanghai and exploring a city that's very unknown to you. Love this mindset
I really appreciated hearing your takes on the questions and comments that came up during the video! I think your perspective is refreshing and open. Really encouraged me as I prepare to go to Shanghai myself soon.
I'm glad to see that your feeling about China life is so chill and comfortable. Thank you for presenting China in a more objective and fair way. Besides Shanghai, there are many other interesting places in China. Ningbo, Hangzhou and Suzhou are all very good and very close to Shanghai. I hope you have a happy life in China. BTW, you are beautiful ~
Thank you Morgan for this video! I really love your attitude. That is what traveling is all about, exploring and experiencing a different culture with your own eyes, without the biases you see or hear from the media. I lived in Shanghai on my own for a year more than a decade ago. I thought I would hate it there at first but ended up falling in love with the city. So this is such a flashback for me. Will be looking forward to Shanghai Part 2 video. :)
Hello Morgan, I am a local Shanghai girl and has been a big fan of your vlogs for months. Just enjoy your stay here in Shanghai.Hopefully you can discover and explore this city in an interesting way. Food here in Shanghai is absolutely diverse depending on what you do want to eat❤🎉😊
Morgan, it's so good that you talk about doing things by your own. I always get so much anxiety about going to places and eating alone... But when i moved in to a new city to study a few years ago, I started going for a walk, going shopping and going for a coffee by myself. Now, I can say that these are my favourite things to do when I have a break from classes, and I don't mind doing them alone.
You are so insightful and I always go away from your vlogs having a new perspective on things. I love how you tackle life and situations and your thought processes.
Hello Morgan, thank you for another great vlog. You do an amazing job exploring new places by yourself. It’s always challenging, but so rewarding. Have a fantastic time, hope Taylor does well. Love from 🇦🇺
First time here and I think I really love your humble sharing of experiences doing things alone and i really admired your openness and attitude towards different cultures and people. I have never been to the US but to hear someone from the US said that other places outside of US are relatively safer than anywhere else inside US - this made me 🤣and I totally agree, having watch all the international news from where I am =) Keep it up with this content, I have really enjoyed myself =)
Love the rawness of your vlogs, Morgan! It's difficult to be touring around the whole year and it's so important to get comfortable with your own company. Really admire the way you carry yourself, explore different places, try to keep improving yourself and just how real you are. Absolutely loved your AO and Wimbledon outfits❤❤ Keep the vlogs coming, lots of lovee❤🫶
tbh I feel if ur on your own for example outside somewhere in a cafe, park or pub, ur more likely to gain a unique, enjoyable and meaningful experience than ur with ur friends or family, bc that is the time u get to explore things by urself and really listen to the voice of 'inner mind' without being disrupted by someone else's schedules plans or interests, and I myself always find unexpected, entertaining or new things(eg. knowledge or philosophical ideas), even unexpected people who later became friends when I'm out by myself, and I call it serendipity
I'm heading over to Shanghai as well at the end of the week for the tournament, and your vlog is making me extra excited! As always I adore your insight and I love how open-minded you are to all cultures and new experiences ❤
Morgan this is one of my favourite vlog and your vlogs are too too too comfort to watch you are my inspiration and I wish you have a beautiful week ahead🤗💫💗
Exploring a new city and doing things alone is a great theme for a video about Shanghai! I have heard that Shanghai, and China in general, are extremely safe places especially for women. I watched another vlog by a woman who said she never felt unsafe coming home alone late at night or 2 in the morning in Shanghai, whether walking down the street or taking a car service (please be safe nonetheless!). I think this is key and should be discussed a lot more, because no matter the progress in other realms, there is no gender equality if one gender cannot be safe even walking down the street.
As someone much, much older who’s been there done all that alone that too as a foreigner (in America), before the internet all I can say is that you’re doing everything right… good for you, just be aware of your safety. America NYC was super safe in the 90’s.
Yasss! I'm obsessed with Morgan's content! Her editing skills are on fleek, and her life is major goals. Sending you all the love, girl! Hope your day is pure magic! ✨💖 Keep slaying! 🌟
Chinese food are my favourite cuisine, it's just so diverse, each city each province of China has different cuisines and I never ate the same thing, the variety it offers just abundant. You will find something you dislike, but for sure you will find something you love the most. For most European cuisines are just limted options kind fixed items that we could choose from, you know what it is and keep repeating eating the same thing again and again, in China or in Asia it's more like you are exploring something new almost everyday. I am not a fan a spicy food but I could simply tell the waiter don't put chilli peppers on it besides so many food are not spicy.
morgan!! another amazing vlog, i absolutely love how open to other cultures you are! you're amazing and i always feel so calm and happy after watching your vlogs!!

I can’t imagine how food from China is disgusting unless they’re referring to the small diners that line the street. Those food places are typically avoided by most people and the only ones who eat there are workers looking for a quick bite. Generally, all the good food places people know to visit are either popular street venues, malls, or good restaurants. You’re awesome for being open-minded and disregarding the negative biases about China. China is so fun, I miss it. Next time you’re there, I def recommend going to some Michelin Star restaurants for their specialty cuisines such as roasted duck… YUM, it has changed my tastebuds for life. Cheers.
