I'm Mick Grewcock, retired from business and now self-learning the art of film-making.
My subjects are many but centre on our English landscape and its wildlife and I often feature our own woodland - Our Corner of England..
I also have a deep passion for the medieval English longbow, the great warbow - the powerful version of the English longbow that earned its fearsome reputation during the Middle Ages.

was there on Sept... :D It was trully marvelous!
I wold love to see more bow videos if u can do them!!!
I might return to them sometime but they consume so much time and unfortunately I don’t have much of it spare just now, life being what it is. Thanks for sticking around, appreciated. Mick
@@MickGrewcock I understand you
Great job brother!
Thank you 🙏
Excellent camera work and a beautiful reminder of your holiday..
Great work Mick. Beautiful places and lovely camera work.
Big Caldera, Thera was one of the biggest volcanic eruptions in history.
One awesome big hole for sure. Learned about the history when on Santorini first time (37 years ago!). Fascinating.
Hey mick great video again .regarding longbows is the sapwood on the belly or back .semi oval profile or d section.
Hi Wayne. Sap wood / bark is on the back of the bow. The profile chosen should suit the wood used. Yew, for example, can cope with a D cross section whereas hardwoods (hazel/elm etc) function better if cross section has a flatter belly - a bit like a squashed rectangle of as you say semi oval. Hope that helps. Mick

How did you like it?
Excellent. Hilly. Better if your wallet/purse is happy to be opened wide.
Hey mick.great video, but ,and a big but=you need to get back to the bow making my friend.maybe make another UA-cam site for the video/film making.dont get me wrong there fantastic films.i always watch ,perhaps maybe going off the original groups of followers.?longbows all the way!
Hello Wayne. I acknowledge all you say; you make a fair point. My channel didn't begin as a longbow channel, rather a place for me to store the results of my learning film making. I then took an interest in the longbow and filmed my endeavours. The videos found popularity and encouraged the bulk of my subscribers. Last year, life (you know all about that) conspired to end my bow-making and severely reduce film-making. But now that I'm getting my time back I feel that I have moved on and I don't expect to resume making those videos. I know that disappoints many loyal subscribers and loses numerous others. That is the most unfortunate outcome of my choice not to continue bow making and the films associated. I appreciate your comment Wayne and I'm sorry that the answer is not the one you wanted. Thanks for being there, Mick
What a nice place to unwind. I still would prefer the van in the woods. But that's just me.
I’ll take.the van anytime!
Envious, 👍
Lovely! 👍
Wow great video man
It's been a long time
