- Tyson Beckford came through for his first-ever VladTV interview, and he started off by clearing up rumors about his origins, revealing he was born in the Bronx and moved to Jamaica until he was 7, and then his family moved back to the Bronx. From there, Beckford detailed his involvement with the notorious Jamaican gang The Shower Posse, and distancing himself after he was brought in on co-conspirator charges that were later dropped. Tyson then spoke about having goals of becoming an actor and being offered a modeling job for The Source, which kicked off his career. During the interview, Tyson spoke about how his career continued to go up, and he spoke about his astonishment about being paid $50,000 and $100,000 for commercials. This is probably the best VLAD interview I've seen. Tyson has a lot of charisma, is a good storyteller and is mad cool. He should probably have a podcast. He'd get all the top guests!

I wouldn’t believe everything these celebrities tell us; for example Prodigy wasn’t as street as they made him seem, he grew up with parents in the industry and had a good life, same thing with Tupac in terms of the image they tried to put forward. A lot of them have completely fabricated stories on where they come from.

It was nice to finally hear him talk, ran into him at a store once he was very nice and he has that “IT “ factor, I didn’t know who he was at first but I kept staring at him like, “Wow! Just a couple weeks ago Tyson popped in my mind and I was like I wonder what he's up to these days.. & then boom this interview popped up! I'm a female that grew up in NYC and lived through the 90's era, so many of the things Tyson talked about brought back memories! I met him briefly years ago like late 90's after an event in NY and he was so nice and sweet with a big ol smile... I also asked him what he used on his skin because it was flawless and he laughed.. I always remember his pleasant nice vibe and of course that he is FInnne AF! lol.. But glad to see he is still cool and humble:) Great Interview!
