- When all is burnt to ash, what remains? When the cosmos is reduced to particles, only consciousness (Viṣṇu) remains; on his support - Ananta Śeṣa, the deity of Uttara Bhādrapadā, the nakṣatra of deep philosophical outlooks, and the quest for permanence and significance.
One thing that is left after everything is burned is the unconditional love. Nothing else. Money came and money gone. Life you built stand and it gone. House you built took shape and gone. Lover you had came and gone. Friends came and gone. At the end of the day if you wake up from ashes and still can remember good things you did to bring smile with your money, good people you met in your life and the way they made you feels, it is after all a good life. Nothing is permanent in this world and I am like others only a temporary being in this life.
I hope this describe this nakshatra well.

Thank you! I have Moon in this Nakshatra and because life is so artificial I find no interest in playing a part in it. I am a complete loner, I am a healer and I work with spirits... I spend too much time alone talking to other side than this. But hey, at least I know my artistry of alchemy and it works out for me.
Also I found people who have this Moon truly can't hold grudge when people hurt them, sorta have short memory for that. My observation.
That resonates. I also have Moon in Uttara Bhadrapada and i enjoy solitude. I enjoy knowing things last,that there is deep meaning in things i do and experience. This frantic online life challenged my body and made life difiicult to enjoy.

Personal research:
- Alexander McQueen had his Moon, Sun (5th house) and Rahu (6th house) in Uttara Bhadrapada.
He is a great embodiement of this nakshatra: his collections were extremely mystical and looked like they came from some hidden time neither in the past, neither in the future. There was something misterious, spiritual and dark (in a good and pure sense) about his creations. Unsettling in a very calming way.
A good example is his Spring 2010 collection: 100% Uttara Bhadrapada.
Also:
- Che Guevara had his Ascendant and Mars here, and his Moon was in Purva Bhadrapada. Very interesting combination.

UttaraBhadrapada is the nakshatra of substance. The more significant it is in your chart the more fierce will be your search for depth, whether it is in people, in culture, in your professional work or in leisure. This sector is responsible for essential meaning of things, the naked truth, the blueprints and formulas behind every manifestation of life. Planets here seek such manifestation in accordance with their nature: Venus will search for unconditional love and sacrifice itself for it, Mars will seek the real strength and clue to become unbeatable, Sun will give a maniac need to become an important figure in life with constant thirst for creativity and self-expression, etc. But in every case the planet here will try to recreate the essential meaning of it in its purest state, while Lagna, Rahu and Ketu will pray on substance, disregarding everything superficial and temporary.

I remember being particularly attracted to Katha Upanishad in my teens, with the main message being to find that which doesn't die and pursued Advaita Vedanta through several teachers in india and the west from that point on. But really it was an insight i had at five years old that drove me to Advaita and that was sudden recognition that wherever I Am everything appears and that here is all there is. I never forgot it and i was driven to find what the true position is.. what is the truth of i.. basically. The deeper purpose however, was to find that which doesn't die.
But enough about that, I'm just recounting it for the sake of science haha.
I'm a Uttara Bhadrapada native and I've found my deathless eternal deity through a confrontation with sheer terror that led to a complete dissolution.. only then to realize that nothing essential dies and that the manifestation is arising from eternal being itself and therefore all there is is this seemless reality of consciousness.. but this consciousness doesn't need manifestation to be complete in itself.
With this all fear disappeared which was an enormous relief because for months prior i was haunted by a profound terror.. an unconsolable dread.. To the point i was even afraid to close my eyes for fear of being annihilated forever. Kind of humorous now haha
It was a realization of my own eternity but also a very humbling recognitio that only God is in control. So while I'm not apart from that, I'm also devoted to it in a kind of surrender.
I was an intense seeker from an early age and had many insights along the way, but only a real confrontation with mortality and a profound sense that I'm going to die and can take nothing with me.., led to losing the last grasp on existence ao the dissolution could happen in spite of my resistance. Its nothing i could do.
Its stunning how true this description of Uttara Bhadrapada is. I've read many descriptions because i was a student of this for a few years and have attempted to improve my rudimentary knowledge of the subject since, but this one is particularly illuminating. So i look forward to listening to them all now. Its rare to find someone with great insight on this subject. I was always drawn to the Nakshatras ao I'm very happy to find your channel. Thank you.

I love the analysis, Vic. I have my Jupiter and Sun in this nakshatra. This helps me understand myself better. I get bored when I have to interact at shallow/superficial levels and had to end some friendships because I couldn't deal with the drama. And my interest in philosophy drove me to study various Eastern ideas, ranging from Advaita Vedanta to Buddhism. Since my 9th lord falls into the 9th house into this nakshatra it all makes sense now. The philosophy of Vedanta is built around negation - you reject all that is finite (transient) about existence until you uncover the infinite (permanent) source that is the substratum of it all.

This entire video just hit me. This video is why I bought your book- "the 27 stars, 27 gods". I feel the entire myth is something everyone can relate to. I've shared this video multiple times in non-astrological contexts with people and it hit a chord with them as well.
Maybe it's because change is exaggerated in current day. It was always there, but now it's more in our faces...so everyone is searching for the "thing that sticks, despite it all". Even my definition of identity fits this nakshatra: "The things you are, despite yourself". Sun/Venus in Uttara Bhadrapeda.

Ah, very revealing as to the nature of this mysterious Nakshatra. I have Sun in aries and Rahu on the pisces side in this one, the tenth house cusp right in between. This Nakshatra has always come off as being so deep and spiritual that any sortof common interpretation has eluded me.

D9 UB sun. Something I find funny is I was born with really dry feet since a baby. My uncle even commented “did she come out of the womb walking” and my grandmother always used to massage my feet with this Mexican serpent oil medicine!!! And also how you said having wealth as tokens of love. This is probably part of my ego but I really disliked gifting jewelry that isn’t fine jewelry or solid gold or anything that Is a material thing that isn’t good quality (unless it’s heartfelt) because of the fact that cheap quality things represent their fickleness to me and their un-eternal ness. But when I give something like solid gold or something that lasts a really long time I feel better about it because of what it also represents, something more eternal. So when I really love some one so much so so much like their soul I just want to give the most heartfelt creative things as well as luxurious things that last years or have the potential to last longer than them or even to be passed down and inherited by their loved ones too. And when I have received solid gold fine jewelry or gemstones I truly feel LOVED. I feel so loved because of what it symbolizes for me. Also a chitra moon in d1 and moon in 2nd house.
