Will say India needs to upgrade the mindsets of its students to be more open to new advancements in their field. Cause growth is meager if you simply stick to same old technologies!

My suggestion is.. if you are a backend developer or do anything related to data , you can just focus more on SQL and understand the analytical part for data.. other stuff related to machine learning learn on your own and build a good kaggle profile .. then you are good to go..
