Great video Jim. Safety is always a concern! Word to the wise, watch your fingers when deploying as it can pinch the heck out of you. I’d still rather have a pinched finger than struggle getting back in the boat while bundled up and cold.
Let’s switch gears here , why did you order your boat, with 2 rod straps on the deck also on Phoenix boats most come with step ladder on the Jack plate, you show the boat on Nashville marine
It does seem unsafe not to have a ladder on the boat. I have a Triton fish and ski as well as a Ranger Z20... they both have ladders! I guess I assumed all boats had them. So I guess this is needed on some boats.
I bought the 2 step which is worthless. It's hard to get out of the water on the two step. If you buy one of these R&R design ladders buy the 3 step unless your a strong YOUNG man to get out of the water.
I just installed the two step version and purchased it through Drewcraft also.
It’s a great safety device
I was in the market for that ladder last year, but I bought a new boat instead because it had a ladder. Every bass boat needs a ladder.
I agree Sir.
Another awesome video. Thanks for sharing
Thanks bro

What is weight capacity for the step, cause I see a lot of stress on 90degree bracket
No idea, but if I fall in the lake in the winter, I can replace a power pole. That’s why I have it.

If you get power poles from the factory, they delete the step on the manual jackplate. I wanted dual rod straps for added strength in rough water.

That’s why I got the 3 step
@@BigJimFishing Let me know when you get a chance to use the 3 step. I want to see if you can get out of the water. Thanks Big Jim.
