That seemed to make all the right noises, and it wasn't moving backwards, not so fast that it would out accelerate my slow reactions, and has good muscle bike feel, think I just found my next bike! Nice 👍
you can upgrade the shock absorber, fork springs, etc., that will turn an old 550 into a really, really comfortable ride with lots of ease in tight curves. of course, power is capped at about 50 hp but if you know the engine well (esp. what rev range to choose in which gear), them 50 hp feel quite swift on that lil bike.
you just need to be a tad more aggressive through the corners...that other bloke that overtook you when you were a bit nervous behind the one you both overtook is killing you through the corners... (".)
I love my 550, havent seen one around my area.
That must be a rush... I have a 1990 ZR550. Nice little bikes.
Loved it's retro looks, good compromise between economy and usabilty but not fast and handling mediocre.
yea i have one and can confirm... but still great for 1 day excursions and non competitive riding

Had one for a couple seasons...carbs and float valves were a total pain in the ass...not a terrible little scooter but definitely not great
