It may be late, but it's great to be able to finally celebrate these people the way they meant to be. This is a fantastic video, and I'll be making sure I can support the players affected as much as possible. It's unbelievable how one bad apple can alter 2 years of Geometry Dash history. Space cheated these players out of their rightful achievement, but not only that; he cheated the entire community because we all praised him as some kind of gamer god and showered him with praise. I know that in my streams I would say how Space was was so insanely good and that people should check him out, not knowing that I was sending people over to his videos so that he could get ad revenue for being a blatant cheater. Ugh man, cheaters suck.
Yeah, like you said on the bright side these people are getting a sort of redemption for what they accomplished. I agree to an extent with what Aeon said about not being able to trust anybody at this point, but i think if people beat levels on stream that can't really be faked. Let's be honest, it was pretty obvious that space was a cheater. He always had "too good to be true" vibes. I suspected this long ago, and am not surprised it's been proven.
The fact that Zoink was debated to be a better player than SpaceUk even though he was hacking all the time is crazy impressive. This reminds me of the Riot and Cyclic incident.

You did a good job explaining how far this is from being victimless even though the “victims” are now getting credit for what they actually did. I feel so bad for Doggie and everyone he lied to. I honestly still don't believe it, I used to see SpaceUk as one of the coolest UA-camrs ever, knowing he apparently jumped so many demons. It gave me the courage to keep going, knowing that if space can make jumps that big I should at least be able to beat normal progression with enough determination. The fact that he not only stole so many pounds, but awards, and first victors is horrible. Maybe Space isn't a bad person, but it was a bad thing to do, and it gets to the point where it's not just a 4$ cube game anymore. The truth is, space should have realized what he was doing and how it was wrong. And if he did, he should have confessed and stopped. SpaceUK never regretted hacking, he's just sad he got caught. @poof To be fair if xander ever manages to beat zodiac legit he's in the running too. Andromeda is special because he seems to be the only one who rebeat everything he hacked legit. Every other big hacker back then like cyclic, noobas, maleveronica, tygrysek and aurorus hasn't done the same (Granted I think tygrysek is eventually planning to beat phobos legit eventually, but he's not got anywhere with it yet)

in my opinion the gd awards is the worst thing about this, and the fact that i would have likely felt guilty and confessed if i were him also i think every demonlist player should be randomly checked periodically, especially top ~50

yeah it is just a $4 dollar game but people are free to invest in what they think is worth their time cheaters though, that's something that should always be expected. I do feel bad for the victims for being under the false illusion of never being able to reach their goals, but honestly they should have seen it coming - paqoe could have checked space's submissions anytime (and probably should have earlier), but somehow he managed to fly under the radar for over two years with some shitty click overlay. Yes, space had a part in this, but the fact that he could get away with it for so long implies that the list team is also at fault.

Thank you for compiling this list. I feel so bad for all of these people who've been massively affected. Space in particular was part of the reason why I lost a lot of motivation a year ago, as people started relentlessly comparing me to him because of his "fast" improvement rate, and how I had just made a name for myself for simillar reasons but obviously without continuing to demolish like he did. Seeing him finally outed was what brought me back to the game to once again play seriously. I can't begin to imagine how people closer to him were affected.

I have another story for myself personally, regarding space's involvement in the Minecraft Speedrunning scene. Space started running the game about 7 months ago, which was exciting. And after only like, 2 months of him running, he "got" a 12:28 time. My PB at the time was 12:47, and I hadn't beaten it in almost a year, which was super demotivating. Watching space come in and beat my time in a matter of weeks ruined my mental, and it still hasn't recovered, not even close. It made me feel like a terrible runner, completely invalidating my struggle to beat my time, despite all the effort I've put in, and the amount of times I've shown that I could do it. Despite how I felt, I tried to shrug it off, because I considered space as a friend at the time. We talked a fair amount, and he was a very nice guy. Nicer than almost anyone else I've ever talked to from the GD community. However, along with his GD allegations, space also admitted that he lied about his 12:28 time. It had never happened. He never uploaded a video, but I believed him, because I *trusted* him. It's not uncommon for runners to just not upload a run, if they think they will beat it soon. And that seemed like the case for him. His lies completely fucked my motivation for the only game that I enjoy playing on a regular basis, and I don't know if it will ever recover. If you read this, thank you. I needed to vent this somewhere, because I haven't gotten it out yet.

You make an interesting point about the "trust" aspect of this and I agree. I remember when TheMuteTroll made his video "exposing" Noobas and the absolutely insane effect it had on the community at the time. People left and right would be accused of hacking for basically no reason. SpaceUK being exposed is like the 2023 version of that. That period in the community was full of "idk bro I think [insert player] hacks" with absolutely zero proof and that kind of thing is going to get SO much worse because of this (especially because as you said, modern hacking methods are basically undetectable if you know what you're doing). Something not mentioned is that I also think Space directly contributed to the how steep the game's difficulty curve has gotten. This was already happening long before him but still, you have to wonder how much different the Top 15 or so would look without him. I still have no clue how top players have the patience to sit through the high list levels.
It's really unfortunate what he did but I still think it's fucking insane that he got away with it for that long with that outdated of a hacking method. Also Doggie is the Verifier :D

he probably did but imo the more you lie, it gets harder and scarier to confess, so you keep lying, you feel even worse about it but you feel more scared to confess so you keep lying and it gets into a loop until something external breaks it, in this case being caught. just a thought though it could still very well be a coverup idk

I went through the exact same experience of wanting to beat the top 1 demon and being completely crushed by Slaughterhouse. If firework was top 1 I would probably have been able to fulfill my dream instead of just having to focus a way harder level. Space truly ruined so many GD careers and dreams
The SpaceUK thing is so mesmerizing to me. It's weirdly shocking, cruel (in hindsight) and motivating to not be like that fraud. Now some people say see the last part there as hypocritical coming out of me but whatever. SpaceUK was obviously motivating when we thought he was legit and I somehow still find him motivating knowing he's a hacker, not for his "skill" but for his lack of morals and personal accomplishment in reality. It really does make me believe that we can just, be better than that. SpaceUK showed that anything is possible and I can appreciate that from him. I feel like I'm rambling but it's hard to actually put my thoughts into words with a situation as impactful on a community I deeply care about as this

I was always sketchy of SpaceUk I have never heard any person who completes decode, an EASY demon, then completes The Golden not long after, a mainlist EXTREME demon, it felt like a bunch of BS

I already had massive respect for you before, but now that I realize you didn’t include your own best achievements in the description absolutely made my respect skyrocket. It's a shame how Space didn't even think to confess to what he did much earlier on, it would have been better for him in the long run if he decided to do that.
The fact zoink managed to surpass a hacker just showed how much of a full on amazing player he is, he’s better than people could even believe and it’s honestly impressive that he surpassed spaceuk after he “quit” without anyone knowing he was the best to begin with

I had always been suspicious of SpaceUK ever since I first found out about him and his incredibly fast rise to fame, but I never was able to gain evidence since I was mostly a casual observer. I wouldn't say I saw this coming, but it definitely didn't come as too much of a suprise to me.
It's crazy that Space did to the whole community. Even myself, I lost motivation in playing the game, because what is the reason? Space is the prodigy, the gifted child of GD I thought, I will never be as good as him. I'm glad to be back in the game, having fun with the levels I love.
As someone who played GD since 2014 and recently got back on during last year, this is absolutely crazy... I don't know what to say. We have not seen anything that was this bad in the GD community before until now. People looked up to spaceuk for his seemingly unmatched talent and incredible achievements, but only to be revealed as a hacker. Many of us thought he was legit, including myself until I got suspicious when he beat Kyouki in 11k attempts. I think this controversy is a perfect example of our community putting too much trust in someone like spaceuk. Because of his actions, this affects many other GD players like Doggie, Trick, and Zoink who aren't getting the recognition and achievements they deserve, so huge shoutouts to them! I think we can all agree that we NEED to be more careful next time when something like this may happen again. So please don't hack or fake your way to the top, do it legit! I think its crazy to think that the community was starting to think we were simply getting too good with how fast space was "beating" levels. Now that this is surfaced, I feel like we will finally get a more regular representation of how the skill level should hold up. The domino effect on this is gonna be crazy
I looked up to space so much. I’m not a very good player, and spaces “story” inspired me The way he went from decode to windy landscape, then all the way up to the golden. I tried to do it myself. Grinded those exact levels. Hoping one day I’ll be as good as space

Strangely enough I'm more annoyed at the list team than space at this point. If there main reason for not finding him sooner is "oh we didn't think anybody would use zbot so we just didn't bother checking for it", that just screams incompetency. For all we know, there could be other people using other "archaic" hacking methods that are just slipping under the radar, and there could be people using advanced methods that could also slip by unnoticed. Another thing. Space was one of the "best players" at the time. What if it was 74th best player who was hacking. Or the 34th. Or the 99th. If it takes this long to expose someone who's in the limelight, how are you going to ensure people who aren't in the limelight are also legit?

Honestly the only thing I got out of this whole thing was how poorly managed the demonlist is. Surely it shouldn't have taken this long for them to catch up on Spaceuk's hacking scandal right? It also really sucks for players like Trick. He really had the true top 1 for a while
Not really. Imagine having to check the pixel size of the complete screen for every record. Quite tedious. They also mostly do checkups on people if it’s your first time, and space’s first time seemed legit, as well as the fact he had streams to back it up, and a gd’s got talent segment. If you were a demons list moderator, would you have caught him?

This video is really really well done. I respect, first of all, that you are not seeking hate on space. Secondly I like the way that you recognized every person affected individually. The whole hacking situation sucks and it was very wrong of Space to cheat his way through the leaderboards. Hopefully here on out the true top players are given more recognition
I never realized this crazy impact that Space had because I've honestly never heard of these players, and I've been playing for 8 years. Thunder and Crisis having that much popularity stolen which could have developed their youtube channels into something they could do to actually earn a good amount of money is actually just heartbreaking to see.
Spirtex didnt really quit the game, he still plays the game, he is just not grinding gd anymore (he beat sazerix and oblivion recently), he also plays on 390 fps now, which is kinda weird
It is space who started the whole "jumping demons" craze and hype. It was a stupid hype from the beginning, but now i hope that everyone can see just how futile it is, considering that the person who started it just faked it
I'm new to the community as a whole (started playing last year) I new about the game since release but that's beside the point, this game truly is a beautiful thing where we as people push each other to the limit in a selfless way and that's not seen often anymore, then someone like Space comes along and ruins a beautiful thing. Lets grow from this experience people, lets try our bests not to forget this time. And everyone who was affected by this cheater truly from the bottom of my heart I'm sorry for you, but KEEP pushing keep grinding you WILL get the recognition you deserve even if it's not in this game you have shown you are dedicated to what you love which in turn shows you will be successful in whatever you do.
I'm hurt by the fact that you mentioned Swooker in the hard machine thing but didn't talk about how Swooker was overshadowed by Space because Swooker at the time was literally destroying the demon list, but just because space "was doing the same" but better, Swooker never got the attention he deserved
Also I really think Swooker could've been The verifier of Slaughterhouse, He did a really good progress really fast after space verified it but he really didn't have motivation anymore, such a shame for an amazing player like him
Yeah. It’s not just these players here, but so many others who never even bothered to finish what they started that were affected, thanks to the motivation kill that Space’s existence brought. We’ll never know what so many people were once capable of, because their time is over and was robbed from them.
This is one of those things that you just can't really accept. It's so hard to truly think about how massive of a situation this is, knowing how many people looked up to space and viewed him as a god just for it to be all completely fraudulent, it's so hard to wrap your head around. This is easily the best video on this entire situation. Some people don't seem to truly understand the negative effects that come with someone cheating and hacking their way to the top. Literally everyone that was hurt because of all of this have felt betrayed and their trust shattered, and for me personally, I've lost all of my respect towards SpaceUK. Thank you for shedding at least some light to those that truly deserve it.
Although space said that he would pay off to a few players because of his shenanigans, I believe that those people were just the tip of the iceberg and many other people had been affected by this situation. I was suspicious of space since the beginning. Low attempt counts, no reactions. And came out of nowhere. Now he said his jump from Leyak to Wasureta was legit and that seems insane.
ironically i was shocked when his the golden completion as his 5th demon was accepted as legit bc i was like "what there's no way" but now i'm even more shocked when it turns out he hacked it all along

i genuinely don't know of some of the people you mentioned because space just overshadowed them. i haven't been very active in the community in years but i've heard about a lot of the major things such as the top 1 player and i probably would know about way more of the people you mentioned if it weren't for what space did. i'm sure i'm not the only one who doesn't recognize a lot of these names either. space crushed all these people's chances at the spotlight and somehow still woke up in the morning thinking "yeah i'm gonna keep hacking levels"
Wow. As someone who didn't know a thing about Geometry Dash until a few months ago, this video put the impact of SpaceUK's betrayal of the community into a stark light. I regularly try to explain to people who shrug off cheating scandals how the breach of trust changes your game & your community forever... no wonder GD players & fans are so shellshocked, I've never heard of _so many_ people's achievements being _directly_ impacted by a single cheater's actions. Kudos for shining a light on these players & explaining what they had stolen from them... and I hope after some healing they can all start to feel that sense of achievement they rightly deserve.
For the people thinking that none of this matters, it does These people have spent a better part of their time into this game, grinding hours into playing and constantly dying until they finally made it to the end. Space robbed people of not only their accomplishments, but also their time, time that cannot and will never be returned again. I know I might get some back lash for saying this but I feel like the demon list is somewhat liable. I feel like it gets to a point where top players get good relationships and reputations with the list that they don’t need to be examined or investigated. They’re just trusted because of how known they are. Versus if your someone unknown, it’ll be kinda skeptical. I forgot the guys name but there was a guy a bit ago that beat slaughterhouse and a ton of people were accusing him of cheating or hacking it. But he was legit. I don’t know if his record ever got on the list. I just feel like the demon list needs have the same standards for everyone across. What’s the point of appointing list mods if they can’t even actually moderate players and records?
It's definitely a big thing for a top 1 player to get exposed, and he definitely deserves all the criticism he is receiving now. I’ll be honest, I’ve never really had the faith to believe fully in the legitimacy of any of the top players. Myself and some friends all said back when spaceuk was a rising player that he’s probably a hacker, even though we didn’t have strict proof, it was just too good to be true. Safe to say none of us were surprised when the news broke. Kinda sounds like the whole community is gonna be on this level now, for better or for worse
It's never the fault of the dedicated players for feeling bad as a result of the top player in a community getting outed for cheating, yet so many people operate with that mindset. There are always going to be people in any type of community who are passionate towards skill improvement, maybe even to a seemingly irrational extent, that's how it is with literally any competitive environment, real or virtual. The perceived top achiever will always be a standard to strive towards, and greatly affects how people of the community, especially others close to the top, view themselves and the activity as a whole. To find out that you've been robbed of success (and arguably agency) in such a way, and discover all of your thoughts feelings towards a person's achievements were built on lies, especially for an extended period of time, will never cease to be frustrating. It retroactively invalidates much of the players' thoughts, decisions, and goals during the whole period of that cheater's reign. To suggest that they just shouldn't care, shouldn't have invested so much time to the point where they cared so much, or that even if they invested a bunch of time they should just focus only on themselves 100% thus shouldn't be affected, is completely insensitive and unrealistic; asking people to not be human. It sucks that some people can't understand or empathize why someone would be hurt because of something like this, going out of their way to shift blame from an uncaring unbothered cheater, to the innocent people who actually do care. Blows my mind.
I think it less about being dedicated and more about not having higher aspirations. But yeah, Space is going to be making minimum wage now, and best of luck to those who actually need it.
Very good video, this is the first video where I actually see someone saying not to send hate towards spaceuk. Because az much as what he did is very wrong and that he kept the lie for two years, I feel like some people could see that and send hate wich is not any better if not worse than what space did. A good exemple of that iz with the hacking scandal in trackmania, multiple famous players were proven to be hacking and I did not hear anything about Riolu (probably the most famous one) after Wirtual's exposal, he probably received hate from some in the community. On the opposite side, trabadia (another hacker) stayed in the community and became a TAS UA-camr. All I'm saying is, as much as you are disappointed with soaceuk's actions, don't send hate towards him because he's still a human being.

It’s awesome that you have put some more spotlight on this situation and gave some credit to all the unlucky ones who weren’t able to get the satisfaction and just happiness for their accomplishments. Also, not a huge deal but I think you have forgotten about AoD and Cursed missing on the number one spot. I know it’s still not confirmed if AoD is actually harder that Slaughterhouse but Spaceuk defintely played a huge role inputting it on #2 instead of #1 which would have been an amazing achievement for Cursed as he has pit so much effort in to this level (I have been on his streams and I know how much he struggled with this level). I just found out about this after being away from the game for a few months and I was heartbroken. This guy seemed like a prodigy, THE geometry dash player… I guess some things are too good to be true
To put in context how weird this video is, the last time i actually played/payed attention to GD was when Erebus was considered the hardest demon... So yeah, L Space, we in the UK do not claim him
Even if SpaceUK were to never touch this game, the alternative universe would still have a very similar scummy hacker who will probably continuously hack the game until, once again, they're too good to be true.

Of what someone were to do something badly in the real world and of us wanting or thinking that this and that should've'n't happened, the same will eventually happen in the alt universe even decades later.
For many months, my mind was in a scary state about trust problems ever since we got access to things that can easily hide someone's illegitimacy. Seeing this happen makes me feel frustrated on how horrible the trust factor can be for this game.
The day that hacking becomes 100% undetectable is the day that this community begins to die. This community thrives on the trust that people you look up to are legitimate. If nobody can trust anyone else, there will be no support, and no motivation to play anything. That is the realization I made through this situation, and is what scares me when I think aout the future of this game.
It may be late, but it's great to be able to finally celebrate these people the way they meant to be. This is a fantastic video, and I'll be making sure I can support the players affected as much as possible.
It's unbelievable how one bad apple can alter 2 years of Geometry Dash history. Space cheated these players out of their rightful achievement, but not only that; he cheated the entire community because we all praised him as some kind of gamer god and showered him with praise. I know that in my streams I would say how Space was was so insanely good and that people should check him out, not knowing that I was sending people over to his videos so that he could get ad revenue for being a blatant cheater. Ugh man, cheaters suck.

You did a good job explaining how far this is from being victimless even though the “victims” are now getting credit for what they actually did. I feel so bad for Doggie and everyone he lied to. I honestly still don't believe it, I used to see SpaceUk as one of the coolest UA-camrs ever, knowing he apparently jumped so many demons. It gave me the courage to keep going, knowing that if space can make jumps that big I should at least be able to beat normal progression with enough determination. The fact that he not only stole so many pounds, but awards, and first victors is horrible. Maybe Space isn't a bad person, but it was a bad thing to do, and it gets to the point where it's not just a 4$ cube game anymore. Thank you for compiling this list. I feel so bad for all of these people who've been massively affected. Space in particular was part of the reason why I lost a lot of motivation a year ago, as people started relentlessly comparing me to him because of his "fast" improvement rate, and how I had just made a name for myself for simillar reasons but obviously without continuing to demolish like he did. Seeing him finally outed was what brought me back to the game to once again play seriously. I can't begin to imagine how people closer to him were affected.

I have another story for myself personally, regarding space's involvement in the Minecraft Speedrunning scene.
Space started running the game about 7 months ago, which was exciting. And after only like, 2 months of him running, he "got" a 12:28 time. My PB at the time was 12:47, and I hadn't beaten it in almost a year, which was super demotivating. Watching space come in and beat my time in a matter of weeks ruined my mental, and it still hasn't recovered, not even close. It made me feel like a terrible runner, completely invalidating my struggle to beat my time, despite all the effort I've put in, and the amount of times I've shown that I could do it. Despite how I felt, I tried to shrug it off, because I considered space as a friend at the time. We talked a fair amount, and he was a very nice guy. Nicer than almost anyone else I've ever talked to from the GD community.
However, along with his GD allegations, space also admitted that he lied about his 12:28 time. It had never happened. He never uploaded a video, but I believed him, because I *trusted* him. It's not uncommon for runners to just not upload a run, if they think they will beat it soon. And that seemed like the case for him.
His lies completely fucked my motivation for the only game that I enjoy playing on a regular basis, and I don't know if it will ever recover.
If you read this, thank you. I needed to vent this somewhere, because I haven't gotten it out yet.

You make an interesting point about the "trust" aspect of this and I agree. I remember when TheMuteTroll made his video "exposing" Noobas and the absolutely insane effect it had on the community at the time. People left and right would be accused of hacking for basically no reason. SpaceUK being exposed is like the 2023 version of that. That period in the community was full of "idk bro I think [insert player] hacks" with absolutely zero proof and that kind of thing is going to get SO much worse because of this (especially because as you said, modern hacking methods are basically undetectable if you know what you're doing).
Something not mentioned is that I also think Space directly contributed to the how steep the game's difficulty curve has gotten. This was already happening long before him but still, you have to wonder how much different the Top 15 or so would look without him. I still have no clue how top players have the patience to sit through the high list levels.

The SpaceUK thing is so mesmerizing to me. It's weirdly shocking, cruel (in hindsight) and motivating to not be like that fraud. SpaceUK was obviously motivating when we thought he was legit and I somehow still find him motivating knowing he's a hacker, not for his "skill" but for his lack of morals and personal accomplishment in reality. I had always been suspicious of SpaceUK ever since I first found out about him and his incredibly fast rise to fame, but I never was able to gain evidence since I was mostly a casual observer. I wouldn't say I saw this coming, but it definitely didn't come as too much of a suprise to me.

As someone who played GD since 2014 and recently got back on during last year, this is absolutely crazy... I don't know what to say. We have not seen anything that was this bad in the GD community before until now. People looked up to spaceuk for his seemingly unmatched talent and incredible achievements, but only to be revealed as a hacker. Many of us thought he was legit, including myself until I got suspicious when he beat Kyouki in 11k attempts. I think this controversy is a perfect example of our community putting too much trust in someone like spaceuk. Because of his actions, this affects many other GD players like Doggie, Trick, and Zoink who aren't getting the recognition and achievements they deserve, so huge shoutouts to them! I think we can all agree that we NEED to be more careful next time when something like this may happen again. So please don't hack or fake your way to the top, do it legit! I think its crazy to think that the community was starting to think we were simply getting too good with how fast space was "beating" levels. Strangely enough I'm more annoyed at the list team than space at this point. If there main reason for not finding him sooner is "oh we didn't think anybody would use zbot so we just didn't bother checking for it", that just screams incompetency. For all we know, there could be other people using other "archaic" hacking methods that are just slipping under the radar, and there could be people using advanced methods that could also slip by unnoticed.

Not really. Imagine having to check the pixel size of the complete screen for every record. Quite tedious. They also mostly do checkups on people if it’s your first time, and space’s first time seemed legit, as well as the fact he had streams to back it up, and a gd’s got talent segment.

This video is really really well done. I respect, first of all, that you are not seeking hate on space. Secondly I like the way that you recognized every person affected individually. The whole hacking situation sucks and it was very wrong of Space to cheat his way through the leaderboards. Hopefully here on out the true top players are given more recognition
I never realized this crazy impact that Space had because I've honestly never heard of these players, and I've been playing for 8 years. Thunder and Crisis having that much popularity stolen which could have developed their youtube channels into something they could do to actually earn a good amount of money is actually just heartbreaking to see.
Spirtex didnt really quit the game, he still plays the game, he is just not grinding gd anymore (he beat sazerix and oblivion recently), he also plays on 390 fps now, which is kinda weird
he doesnt care about competition anymore + he doesnt like the demonlist so yeah

It is space who started the whole "jumping demons" craze and hype. It was a stupid hype from the beginning, but now i hope that everyone can see just how futile it is, considering that the person who started it just faked it
I'm new to the community as a whole (started playing last year) I new about the game since release but that's beside the point, this game truly is a beautiful thing where we as people push each other to the limit in a selfless way and that's not seen often anymore, then someone like Space comes along and ruins a beautiful thing. Lets grow from this experience people, lets try our bests not to forget this time. And everyone who was affected by this cheater truly from the bottom of my heart I'm sorry for you, but KEEP pushing keep grinding you WILL get the recognition you deserve even if it's not in this game you have shown you are dedicated to what you love which in turn shows you will be successful in whatever you do.
I'm hurt by the fact that you mentioned Swooker in the hard machine thing but didn't talk about how Swooker was overshadowed by Space because Swooker at the time was literally destroying the demon list, but just because space "was doing the same" but better, Swooker never got the attention he deserved

This is one of those things that you just can't really accept. It's so hard to truly think about how massive of a situation this is, knowing how many people looked up to space and viewed him as a god just for it to be all completely fraudulent, it's so hard to wrap your head around. The game will never be the same
This is easily the best video on this entire situation. Some people don't seem to truly understand the negative effects that come with someone cheating and hacking their way to the top. Literally everyone that was hurt because of all of this have felt betrayed and their trust shattered, and for me personally, I've lost all of my respect towards SpaceUK. Thank you for shedding at least some light to those that truly deserve it.
Although space said that he would pay off to a few players because of his shenanigans, I believe that those people were just the tip of the iceberg and many other people had been affected by this situation. They weren't even getting enough attention for it. Thanks for making this video, I really wish that everyone gets the ideal amount of attention and enough compensations that they truly deserve.

I was suspicious of space since the beginning. Low attempt counts, no reactions. And came out of nowhere. Now he said his jump from Leyak to Wasureta was legit and that seems insane.
ironically i was shocked when his the golden completion as his 5th demon was accepted as legit bc i was like "what there's no way" but now i'm even more shocked when it turns out he hacked it all along

i genuinely don't know of some of the people you mentioned because space just overshadowed them. i haven't been very active in the community in years but i've heard about a lot of the major things such as the top 1 player and i probably would know about way more of the people you mentioned if it weren't for what space did. i'm sure i'm not the only one who doesn't recognize a lot of these names either. space crushed all these people's chances at the spotlight and somehow still woke up in the morning thinking "yeah i'm gonna keep hacking levels"
Wow. As someone who didn't know a thing about Geometry Dash until a few months ago, this video put the impact of SpaceUK's betrayal of the community into a stark light. I regularly try to explain to people who shrug off cheating scandals how the breach of trust changes your game & your community forever... no wonder GD players & fans are so shellshocked, I've never heard of _so many_ people's achievements being _directly_ impacted by a single cheater's actions. Kudos for shining a light on these players & explaining what they had stolen from them... and I hope after some healing they can all start to feel that sense of achievement they rightly deserve.

These people have spent a better part of their time into this game, grinding hours into playing and constantly dying until they finally made it to the end.
Space robbed people of not only their accomplishments, but also their time, time that cannot and will never be returned again.
The thousands of hours people have spent into this game is incredibly important, space just simply took all of that and threw it away.
I know I might get some back lash for saying this but I feel like the demon list is somewhat liable. I feel like it gets to a point where top players get good relationships and reputations with the list that they don’t need to be examined or investigated. They’re just trusted because of how known they are. Versus if your someone unknown, it’ll be kinda skeptical. I forgot the guys name but there was a guy a bit ago that beat slaughterhouse and a ton of people were accusing him of cheating or hacking it. But he was legit. I don’t know if his record ever got on the list. I just feel like the demon list needs have the same standards for everyone across. What’s the point of appointing list mods if they can’t even actually moderate players and records?
It's definitely a big thing for a top 1 player to get exposed, and he definitely deserves all the criticism he is receiving now. I am glad the victims are getting credit for what they did, but on the other hand I believe that even if spaceuk isnt forgiven, he shouldn't be cancelled. the whole cancel culture far exceeds the deed itself, it's like internet death, and I think spaceuk should be given his time to rebeat and fix all the mess he created, clean up for himself, and he'll be welcome back into the community, despite the stains left in his history.

I’ll be honest, I’ve never really had the faith to believe fully in the legitimacy of any of the top players. Myself and some friends all said back when spaceuk was a rising player that he’s probably a hacker, even though we didn’t have strict proof, it was just too good to be true. Safe to say none of us were surprised when the news broke. Kinda sounds like the whole community is gonna be on this level now, for better or for worse

It's never the fault of the dedicated players for feeling bad as a result of the top player in a community getting outed for cheating, yet so many people operate with that mindset. There are always going to be people in any type of community who are passionate towards skill improvement, maybe even to a seemingly irrational extent, that's how it is with literally any competitive environment, real or virtual. The perceived top achiever will always be a standard to strive towards, and greatly affects how people of the community, especially others close to the top, view themselves and the activity as a whole.
To find out that you've been robbed of success (and arguably agency) in such a way, and discover all of your thoughts feelings towards a person's achievements were built on lies, especially for an extended period of time, will never cease to be frustrating. It retroactively invalidates much of the players' thoughts, decisions, and goals during the whole period of that cheater's reign. To suggest that they just shouldn't care, shouldn't have invested so much time to the point where they cared so much, or that even if they invested a bunch of time they should just focus only on themselves 100% thus shouldn't be affected, is completely insensitive and unrealistic; asking people to not be human.
It sucks that some people can't understand or empathize why someone would be hurt because of something like this, going out of their way to shift blame from an uncaring unbothered cheater, to the innocent people who actually do care. Blows my mind.
I think it less about being dedicated and more about not having higher aspirations. But yeah, Space is going to be making minimum wage now, and best of luck to those who actually need it.

Very good video, this is the first video where I actually see someone saying not to send hate towards spaceuk. Because az much as what he did is very wrong and that he kept the lie for two years, I feel like some people could see that and send hate wich is not any better if not worse than what space did.
A good exemple of that iz with the hacking scandal in trackmania, multiple famous players were proven to be hacking and I did not hear anything about Riolu (probably the most famous one) after Wirtual's exposal, he probably received hate from some in the community. On the opposite side, trabadia (another hacker) stayed in the community and became a TAS UA-camr.
All I'm saying is, as much as you are disappointed with soaceuk's actions, don't send hate towards him because he's still a human being.

It’s awesome that you have put some more spotlight on this situation and gave some credit to all the unlucky ones who weren’t able to get the satisfaction and just happiness for their accomplishments. Also, not a huge deal but I think you have forgotten about AoD and Cursed missing on the number one spot. I know it’s still not confirmed if AoD is actually harder that Slaughterhouse but Spaceuk defintely played a huge role inputting it on #2 instead of #1 which would have been an amazing achievement for Cursed as he has pit so much effort in to this level (I have been on his streams and I know how much he struggled with this level). For many months, my mind was in a scary state about trust problems ever since we got access to things that can easily hide someone's illegitimacy. Seeing this happen makes me feel frustrated on how horrible the trust factor can be for this game.
Another small thing that this changes is that Nswish is still the only person to beat the entire main list, so that’s kind of funny

The day that hacking becomes 100% undetectable is the day that this community begins to die. This community thrives on the trust that people you look up to are legitimate. If nobody can trust anyone else, there will be no support, and no motivation to play anything. That is the realization I made through this situation, and is what scares me when I think aout the future of this game.
