I am incredibly appreciative of the fact that Mythical allows their employees to be able to work on and promote their own personal projects. Like Jordan and his graphic novel.
Jordan Morris has a lot of stuff going on. Check out his long-running podcast with Jesse Thorne, Jordan Jesse go. Or his newer podcast with Emily Fleming of mythical Free With Ads (Matt Lieb is the producer/host as well). Both podcasts are hilarious.

Jordan just showed up believing the “life’s too short to cook on medium” hype and y’all turned it into a blast campaign of steamy shade on his beautiful character. 😂
That cooktop is a menace, even the pros that deal with it on a regular basis still end up with a screaming hot or stone cold pan from time to time. Honestly Jordan rolling with it was pretty impressive.
There's an argument to be made that Jordan might be the funniest member of the Mythical team. Nobody makes Rhett laugh harder. And it's cool to see him get love and recognition on the upcoming novel. Dude is talented.
I've previously commented suggesting a series of videos where Emily learns to cook and now think adding Jordan in on that would be great! Maybe have a battle at the end of the series or a little one at the end of each video but even just the chaos energy and awkward fun of the two "students" and Josh/Nicole/Lily/Trevor teaching various things would be fun.
This is so true about Hello Fresh. If anyone ever wonders about the quality of the recipes, this should show you that the food is actually quite delicious. I’m sure the chili was even better since the ingredients were probably much higher quality than what you’d typically get in a HF box, too, but even if you just use what they give you, it’s still so freaking good. I know HF has sponsored GMM from time to time, but I’m surprised they haven’t ever sponsored a MK episode (or if they have, I don’t remember it). Seems like it should be a no-brainer
My late roomie (May they rest in peace :C) got us a promotional trial of hello fresh, once. Genuinely solid recipes that you can keep and use again later with your own ingredients if you wanted, much like they did here - I don't think any of the ones I ever got were ever a miss. Genuinely solid investment for those who might struggle with being a home cook or just want some new ideas for recipes. I second the sentiments about them sponsoring MK!
I know that Hello Fresh is really popular and I know why. It's really good. That said, I want to throw out there another meal kit service worth trying. Green Basket has really easy to prepare meals that include recipes and ingredients I would would ignorne if it weren't for Green Basket. Nope. I don't work for them.
After I finished Jordan’s book I left it in a little library near my house. I hope another GMM fan finds it and has a “oh look its Jordan’s book” moment.
I see what you're doing, you saucy little minxes! Intercutting everyone's cooking segments so you can't fast forward to your favorite. Also, I think Lucas needs to be next imposter chef
I always love seeing Jordon on Mythical as himself! He was a lot of fun in this video. :) I know that people apparently love Randy but I have *no idea why*, so I appreciate the times I get to see him outside of that~
My 3 people would be Karl Marx, Ludwig Von Mises, and Ram Dass. The father of Communism, the father of Libertarianism, and the man who brought eastern spiritualism to the west.
I think Jordan is such an underrated part of the Mythical staff. He's always so funny, fun, and seems like a cool guy to just have hanging around. That's kinda the vibe I get from most of the staff but I feel like Jordan and I have such a similar sense of humour, easy-going, and laid back. Who knows though maybe he's a monster behind the scenes :P
Can we get a new MK series of Jordan learning how to cook various dishes while answering interview prompt questions? I wanna hear about his favorite movies while learning to make a smashburger.
Jordan Morris and Gwynned in the same episode my heart is so happyyy. Cherish that man Jordan forever and keep him safe he is so pure and refreshing and so funny, my absolute favorite. 🥰❤❤
I was laughing the entire episode from how SMOKY Jordan's parts were 😂 You couldn't even see him or his chili at times. I liked Vi adding the bit of cocoa? Cuz I would do that too when making chili. I'd probs use a mix of Anaheim and poblano peppers with a litttttle of Serrano. Now I want to make my own chili at home!
The way Josh prefaced this video with “every amateur has that one meal they’ve mastered and can go toe-to-toe with any chef with” Then Jordan is like yeaaaaaa this is a Hello Fresh recipe I liked… then seems unsure of how to actually cook it 😂😂😂
I always find it amusing that I mostly know Jordan from the podcast Jordan, Jesse, Go, and then he shows up here and on GMM and I just think "oh right, he knows the Mythical crew too!"
GMM and all of the connections to it are absolutely a whole streaming service. As a 34 year old. Literally all of my friends, kids, family watch these, all of them. It’s insane how it’s not a thing yet.
The separating the whites and greens of the onions is such a Hello Fresh move 😂 when I was using them they always had you chop the whites and use them in the base of the sauté, and then sprinkle the greens at the end. Every time.
Okay Josh as someone who is kanaka(Hawaiian), pineapples are not from here. Pineapples are from South America, imported here in 1700. Hawai’i is associated with Pineapples thanks to James Dole in 1886 because of his pineapple company. James Dole happens to be the cousin once removed of Sanford Dole who is the first “president of Hawaii republic”. I appreciate the acknowledgment that we were once a sovereign nation though.12:06
A rare miss from Josh, id usually expect him to pull this extended technicality out. Thanks for the reminder that everyone has blind spots and prejudices, and to never take what we hear for granted just because we're fans of the speaker. 💜
Pineapples are originally from South America, from the Paraná and Paraguay Rivers between southern Brazil and Paraguay, to be exact. Cultivation of it spread from there and it was first encountered by Europeans via Christopher Columbus on the island of Guadeloupe in 1493. The Portuguese spread it from Brazil to India in the 1500s, and the Spanish to the Philippines in the 1600s. The Spanish didn't introduce it to Hawai'i until the 1700s, and the first commercial plantation started in 1886. Then Sanford B. Dole overthrew the monarchy in Hawai'i, got the US to annex the islands, then his cousin (once removed) James Dole moved in, invested heavily in pineapples, and established the Hawaiian Pineapple Company that sold its products under no brand name. They started stamping the cans with the Dole name in 1927. The HPC struggled during the Great Depression and got bought by Castle & Crooke - one of the Big Five companies in Hawai'i - in 1932 which renamed it the Dole Company.
@@Brasc Ye I can admit I gave a simplified version should’ve said South America instead naming specifically Mexico but it still leads back to pineapples do not come from here. It is a frustrating fact how often ppl still associate the islands with pineapples down to calling a pizza with pineapple slices and Canadian bacon, a Hawaiian pizza. Js a small tag saying Pineapples do not come from Hawaii would’ve been nice. The swingers joke was not lost on me but it could’ve done without the mention of my people’s once sovereign nation.
Jordan nervously trying to break up the beef as he talks through a billow of smoke from burning beef is just a chef's kiss of comedy 😂

Yes i second that motion

Jordan had to remove the meat because it took him an hour to cut onions.
