    Great video; I’m another evangelical who has “walked the Canterbury trail”, and so I’m happy to see your similar content; looking forward to more.

      @@danielhixon8209 thank you so much! I’m a huge fan of your channel and have been watching for a couple of years. I grew up COG, so I have a Wesleyan background. I’m glad to see you’re in the ACNA now. Thanks so much for the encouragement!

    I have a lot of respect for the Anglican Church and it’s high view of liturgy. I’m a nondenominational Christian. We live our faith differently but one thing we need to remember is that we are all still brothers and sisters in Christ Jesus.
    And remember wether you’re in a very low church or a really high church like Anglican or Lutheran, we are all evangelicals, evangelicals are not only low church nondenominational, Baptists, and Classic Pentecostals.

      @@Jonathanhdz16 amen! We’re all serving Christ. These videos are made to help explain Anglican faith and practice to folks who maybe have never heard of an Anglican before! I hope to always present charity and respect.
      Thanks so much for watching!

    My jaw dropped, didn't know if or when you'd ever upload again 😅 very cool! 😎
    Very relatable stuff at the beginning. I find it difficult to communicate to others how and why I went from non-denom to Anglican. Nobody really gets it unless they also went from "low church" to "high church" in some way. Everyone else is either suspicious, or thinks I made the move purely because of style preferences or other very superficial reasons.
    At the end of the day I think the biggest reason is need. I'm not Anglican now because I'm a super-Christian who reached enlightenment and is now smarter than all the low-church dum-dums. No, I came here because I needed more. I wasn't finding it where I came from. I had to go "further up and further in." I can't do this on my own, or even just in my somewhat insular local church. We need the whole body, we need the roots, we need the fullness of the faith.

      I think one of the key points you made is that it’s definitely bizarre to those on the “low church” end but it doesn’t make them “dumb” or deficient Christians. I can’t stand when folks leave a tradition only to spend time constantly bashing it! My goal with these videos is to hopefully help build a charitable bridge towards greater understanding. Anglicanism is like a foreign language to many people and I want to help make it a little clearer!

    Out of curiosity, did you look into Eastern Orthodoxy at all? If so, what made you go Anglican instead? I’m currently trying to decide between the two right now

    • @evansustar8478
      @evansustar8478  Місяць тому +2

      @@Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh123 I briefly looked into EO. I chose Anglicanism because of my firm Protestant convictions, because of the catholicity of Anglicanism, and because Anglicanism allows for breadth of belief on minor issues. It’s truly the best of both worlds and encapsulates all the best things about historic Christian faith and practice.

      Yes, absolutely. Anglicanism is much more magnanimous than the Roman tradition, or the EO tradition.

    I like many things about Anglicanism. Unfortunately I left one I attended as they held the Book of Common Prayer over the Bible..Priest had a female Deacon do the preaching. He trained at a woke college. May be different in other states. No outreach. Evangelism not happening. In Timothy's time the leaders called missionary Bishops went from church to church strengthening each like Paul the Apostle did! Pentecostalism has always been in the Church. Anglican mission I attended had no sense of community. People were nice but as a single older man and a veteran I never felt close to any..

      Paul, I’m very sorry to hear about your experience. I’m thankful that there are many Anglican churches, including mine, that are seeking Bible oriented and seeking to evangelize the world. And most of the Global South’s Anglicanism is charismatic, preserving that “Pentecostal” aspect as well. I pray that the Lord would lead you to the right place for you!
