People seem to forget that the real protagonists of this movie are Adam and Barbara. Beetlejuice is a secondary character, and he has a lot less screen time. Michael Keaton steals the show, yes, but the plot does not revolve around him but around Alec and Geena.
I love the subtle indication that either Barbara or Adam were sterile (I get the feeling from how hurt Barbara looked at the comment she miscarried at some point).
This movie is so unique and charming. I also love the idea that a young, beautiful couple dies tragically but everything turns out to be just fine in the end. This will always be one of my favorite movies
I think the most horrifying aspect of this movie, other than Mrs. Dietz's so-called remodel, is the fact that someone, despite their constant assertions, was trying to the sell the house out from under them
This film is just iconic. No sequel or whatever could beat it ❤️
Idk why but the line from Alec "Handbook for the recently diseased" kills me every time 🤣
People say the Beetlejuice snake scene was scary, but for me it was when the Maitlands died. They died so sudden and without warning. Plus, they didn't pass away in a quick way either, considering they drowned. It was just so ominous that death could happen at any moment when you least expect it.
Alec Baldwin looks so kind! he’s unrecognizable lol

My husband was today years old when he found out that they were dead for the majority of the movie. Like, I understood the concept that they were ghosts from the age of four or five years old. I was like, "Don't you remember they got into that car accident on the covered bridge, and drown in the river/creek?" He completely forgot that part of the movie. This was one of my favorite movies from my childhood.
I always thought that she's so pretty ☺️ That movie is just iconiccc
Did anyone noticed the dog's fur color was black and white the same colors as Beetlejuice's suit? Maybe it was a subtle hint that Beetlejuice somehow manipulated events in his favor to cause the Maitlands to crash.
"Functional Perimeters vary from manifestation to manifestation."
These 2 had amazing chemistry.
Adam: 2 weeks at home. The perfect vacation.
One of the coolest and most charming movies ever made. This is what made Tim Burton a legend and Keaton was iconic along with Winona Ryder and the whole cast in general. The music, characters, style and just whole feel of the movie was unique. I do hope they make a sequel one day that is worthy.
Love how he goes to the obituaries to find a job lol!
Barbara is one of the best characters in my opinion
The fact that I’ve watched this movie so many times, I actually understand what the handbook is actually saying. In layman’s terms,
Fun fact:
