The more I'm getting able to have the time to listen to the pod cast more , the more I'm loving how the group has evolved from nes pursuit days. I find myself with the biggest smile on my face! The way u guys bust on each other and everyone laughs it off! I wish I had a group of friends like you guys! Great show man. U make me feel like I'm kinda there with you guys.
Man, I had the feels for the N64 - I get all points and for me, the memories was taking it to school for 4 player golden eye. We had a teacher that let 8 of us play on the class TV during lunch
I'm a little late to the party, but glad I've been able to discover this pod! I've known Kris since his first store days in CT, and so glad to see him with such a fun crew on the West Coast - you all gel so well with one another, and it feels like we're just chilling along with you in the room. Keep up the great work, everyone!
I absolutely loved the pod you guys! Another banger! I hope we can make this music guessing sagment a semi regular thing so much fun!! Though the next time I would let the music play for maybe 10 seconds or 15 just to give everyone a bit of a chance haha
These podcasts are comfort food. I LOVE that you put the full episodes now. This channel and your other one just give me such happy vibes. Excited for the next episode! Thanks Riffa and crew! 😊👊👊💪💪
This is a really good podcast. I finally feel like I have another gaming podcast that gives me the same vibes from the CU Podcast. Very cool boys it looks like I found my gaming podcast.
Oh man, so many topics that hit home for me. On the topic of toy stores, KB (kay.bee on the old school signs) was probably the one I went to the most. Being in the mall was an easier sell because I was already there with my parents getting clothes or something. But we would go to Toys R Us on special occasions or if I was with my grandpa. But in terms of video games, I have very distinct memories of picking up NES games at Montgomery Ward and a bunch of other department store-type places that no longer exist. So wild taking a look back.
I'm glad to see this. I'm just wondering how many times i will have to skippahead of the content I already listened to. It's not a bad problem. Just let it run like a ps1 on pause during school.
Already said this before but the GameCube was not only one of the most powerful for its time, if not it was, but it was also by far the most durable through dmg testing. G4 did a drop test and literally the only thing that happened to the GC was the top circle popped off and they just put it back and it started up no problem.
My best memory wasn’t really a toy but my first bicycle. I opened a few presents and they were great but when we were done my father told me to take a shower before we leave and the bike was behind the curtain and I lost my mind. I ran the thing outside in my underwear and a T-shirt ONLY lol and rode around the street best memories ever.
100% agree with Chris about the N64. I was turned off by the graphics off the jump. GoldenEye was a fun sleepover game and Mario64 was a great game to kill time and explore but I never liked the graphics. Even though the graphics are also not great, I'd play Spyro the Dragon on PlayStation over Mario on 64. The N64 is overrated imo.
I wish youd put out the full podcast before the clips. I cant help but watch the clips but then i dont want to skip thrpugh the full and find anything i may have missed. Probably better for metrics to get a full 2h podcast playthrough than the clips being watched? Not sure sure, but I would watch the full thing if you put it up first
Guess the song?! My son do this everyday as music for our car and I had you on several of them. But for some reason I would still say “Riff” as I knew the game
Love the content. The console ranking was great. You need to have Chris's contrarian opinion in there for balance. Chris seems to be slightly older than the rest of the crew and his experiences are going to be different growing up (e.g. not liking N64 or Wii).
Love these podcasts!!! I dont know why ive heard so many people thinking the GameCube, which i love btw, was one of the most powerful consoles of that generation. It definitely wasnt. The Xbox was by far the most powerful, then PS2 and GameCube kinda went back and fourth but the PS2 was a little more powerful.
I played with toys and I mean PLAYED with toys until I was 15 and I'm now a software engineer and I buy a lot of toys now mainly beyblades, mariokart toys, and anime figures. Can't wait to play with my kids with these toys.
If you want to play a shooter that’s like Metal Slug, try out “In The Hunt” which is the game that the creators of Metal Slug did before Metal Slug. It’s a submarine side scrolling shooter, and it has that metal slug difficulty.
the 80’s/90’s commercials during saturday morning cartoons really amped up the anticipation of going to toys r us or walmart and when you get there the visual didplays really was a differ experience unlike today. yall are absolutely right!! thanks again for the trip down memory lane bros
Awsome PS2 games... GTA San andreas, MGS2, GoW, Devil may cry, Tony Hawk pro4, klonoa2, ssx, Final fantasy9. Surely on of those must stand out for you guys😅
You know if you give these grades a number value, you can add people's grades and average them, then round up or down and you have your accurate grade.
Good old riff standing firm on silent hill , resident evil is survival horror and silent hill is psychological horror, I would rather poop my pants out of fear than put a battery in a slot around the corner before a self destruct sequence 😂
I love this podcast too. Best part was ranking Nintendo consoles. Can you do a sega one? Totally agree with Chris about the wii for sure a E. Only console I don't collect for. For GameCube would be S for me. N64 is a A, super Nintendo is a b, nes is a c for me. Wii u is a A+ For. I never have played virtual boy and never have even saw it in person.
Although I greatly enjoyed Mario for what it was… my wife and I would disagree with one part of your criticism. It was much more geared to kids than we though it would have been. I really missed the double standard humor I’ve come accustomed to in other animated movies. It was a fantastic kids movie though!
Curtis claimes to watch the prezs pizza reviews daily but calls it one slice.. also there’s still toys r us and baby’s r us in Canada .. I have one in my small town still and plenty in Toronto
The critics didn't like the Mario movie because there was no political narrative, which was refreshing...Also, while I love Contra, Metal Slug is far superior.
about bring up a child right my daughter coraline was at a fair with me her mum an my sister an her month old daughter. she went on a hook a duck an first thing she did was get a teddy for my sisters kid was so proud
There are more good Resident Evil games than Silent Hill but Silent Hill 2 is still better than any Resident Evil game. Because of this I never really know how to answer that one.
I agree n64 is trash and unplayable now besides mario kart and smash. Not quite e though I'd give it a high d low c. It did innovate just didn't compare to ps1 and besides the virtual boy it's the only nintendo console that doesn't hold up
At 58 min or so whatever i love n64 but feel him on playstation its just my shit and then the ps2 makes it so insanely hard to even think about playing the n64 ever again lmao
I appreciate your guy's positive attitude towards life. You're good people.
Producer/Member Curtis really brought some spicy topics 😂
The music guessing section was wild. Riff is a BEAST
Loving these long form podcasts! Thanks so much guys!
The music bit was hilarious, absolute dominance.
I love seeing the joy these four authentic dudes express when reminiscing about yesteryears...hits me in the feels

I'm not getting any work done. This feels amazing listening to your Podcast!
I'm a little late to the party, but glad I've been able to discover this pod! I've known Kris since his first store days in CT, and so glad to see him with such a fun crew on the West Coast - you all gel so well with one another, and it feels like we're just chilling along with you in the room.

Means so much to us Dave!
Best UA-cam podcast on UA-cam of all time!
These fellers are the coolest, Riff is the man!
Still remember opening Atari 2600 I got for Christmas in 81.. greatest day ever at the time.
I enjoyed listening to riff destroy those game sounds I was so impressed on the retained knowledge of just a note or 2 and you got it.
You guys are killing Curtis with that GoPro angle
I have no good angle 😅😂
You Guys feel like home, when it comes to my gaming and toys memories.
Covid caused a huge resurgence in interest in all things retro
So Awesome! Riffs Knowledge of Game Music Tracks Even Naming Many Of The Sections/Levels They Are From Is So Cool.
Super Nintendo S+
I wasn't mad about the half grades, just said they were a cop out! lol love you too Riff!
This is a really good podcast. I finally feel like I have another gaming podcast that gives me the same vibes from the CU Podcast. Very cool boys it looks like I found my gaming podcast.
We open gifts one at a time on Christmas. I react to them all like that kid opening his n64, it could be a pair of socks.
Great podcast guys!!
Nice that you mentioned silent hill movie after i gave it to you, appreciate 👍
Been enjoying the podcast guys. Keep it up 👽
Ricky with the jordan 6s retro 👌

I wish they uploaded the long ones before the clips / separated the channels

Yay another podcast!
as a habitual "nice" user, i appreciated this episode
Dude! People almost fist fight over those Mexican bootleg hollow rotoplast He-Man figures! I'd love to add one to my collection.
Do more “guess the songs” game! That was dope!
Chris is 100% correct with all of his video game system rankings.
100% agree with Chris about the N64. I was turned off by the graphics off the jump. ricky with the fire jordans
Editor Riff is the rain man of video game music 😂
Hahahah
I predict we are going to see a COOL ATTITUDE Curtis very soon...

Such a good segment! I enjoyed that immensely

Was in the KB Toys at Sand Hill Plaza? Great memories there
Love the mario film but the original mortal kombat is just such cheesy goodness 👌
Riff added the music segment just to flex on everyone! 💪
KUNG POW!!!!!!! BRO!!!!! "let me know..... If you see..... a Radio Shack....."
Summer in a place that's 100 year round isn't fun plus we have humidity, Autumn is by far the best just like Chris said.
FYI, Toys R Us only shut down there US stores and in Canada they remained open and look the same today.
Finally!! I can get my fix! Thanks guys
Good stuff... i sped run on resident evil 2 Leon disc. Got the special key and played the rest the game with Leon wearing thug clothes.
I played with toys and I mean PLAYED with toys until I was 15 and I'm now a software engineer and I buy a lot of toys now mainly beyblades, mariokart toys, and anime figures. Can't wait to play with my kids with these toys.
Havent watched the new Mario movie, might have to check it out tonight. I remember watching the 1st one though when i was little.
Best podcast
Pizza leftovers are better than burger leftovers.

Do you guys have eBay links ??
Have you guys played the new street fighter 6?!

Bad: Wii, Wii U
Weird: Virtual Boy
Good: Nintendo 64, Gamecube, Switch
S tier: NES
Super S tier: SNES
majoras mask, mario kart 64, starfox, mario tennis, smash bros...64 is clear ,i legit feel bad for the dude who rated it E🤣

Mortal Kombat is the best video game movie IMO
Resi4 was gamecube first and ps2 version was cut down
Only one I got before Riff was Rygar.
funny fact we still have toyRus in canada but I loved KB toys when we used to go across the border and man what about Robocop in toys !?!!
solid episode
Riff likes the Wii cause of his small Wii Wii 😂😂😂 jk Riff
happy belated dude
The N64 is one of the greatest consoles of all time! I still like Chris even though he’s clearly wrong here LOL
Ricky's shoe game is.......shhhheeeeeeshhhhhhh
Best video game movie is Streetfighter 2.
No gabbo?? Wtf? But dope sneakers Ricky
Can we kick Chris out for ranking the best consoles made in the world 😅
Curtis claimes to watch the prezs pizza reviews daily but calls it one slice.. also there’s still toys r us and baby’s r us in Canada .. I have one in my small town still and plenty in Toronto
Lol we make mistakes 😅 but I really do watch it religiously I combined the channel name with the app lol. As a fat kid, pizza is my favorite ❤😂
@@RunWithCurt just in case if el prez misses these episodes, had to call it out how he would haha
@@Mr_Zel fair play. Lol😂 I absolutely love El Presidente, big fan of barstool content. The guys built an absolute masterpiece!
Why am I having deja Vu i swear i already seen this video but it says it just came out today. Hmmmmm mandela affect
Alot of snark/sarcasm (even amongst Bros) from someone incessant about lite cursing
Repost?
Full 2 hour podcast
They seem to release mini vids so u can pick and choose your content or watch the whole damn thing in one go 😊
The critics didn't like the Mario movie because there was no political narrative, which was refreshing...Also, while I love Contra, Metal Slug is far superior.
yaya Play Station baby
n64 E?! CHRIS !
🏆🏆

I agree n64 is trash and unplayable now besides mario kart and smash. Not quite e though I'd give it a high d low c. It did innovate just didn't compare to ps1 and besides the virtual boy it's the only nintendo console that doesn't hold up
