Incredibly atmospherical. This is what a lot of contemporary art lacks and entertainment can never become. It's an experience beyond what the intellect can comprehend. Thoughts of the mind can never reach it. It touches the soul, and feels so profound that it hurts in a bueatiful way. It makes you feel so alive, and might be touching close to the realest state of being we can know. You are onto the highest form of art, Susanne.
your mind is very beautiful, Julian. and I emphatically agree with your eloquent insight.
@@dalpaengi yes.
Try listening to this just past the midnight hour. So incredibly atmospheric and mournful.
Susanne and Megan were awesome last night at the Union Chapel. Yep!
Album of the year for me. 10/10
I feel so vulnerable when I listen to this song
where do you live?
and have you any money?
so etheric, both ancient and contemporary, comforting and horrifying, elevating and humbling. thank you, susanne.
6:12...Listening from this moment of the song is like opening Heaven's door. Thank You, Susanne.
A striking image. Very apt.
Susanne Sundfør remains a brilliant composer of sounds and turns in her music. Combine that with deep, meaningful lyrics and an angelic voice - this album is it.
The contrast between the beginning .. and the end of our journey.
"Only the dead have seen the end of war"
I still wonder how such a masterpiece of soundtrack is so unknown from popular culture
when you don't have to skip one track of the album that's when you realize what an incredible songwriter Susanne is!
2020, listening this, alone in my room, while on quarantine for the CoVid 19
It is amazing that Susanne uses a quiet arrangement, "ordinary words" and the imagination is stimulated to the maximum and the message is extremely strong.
[Verse 1]
Leave all the silverware
'Cause you won’t need it where
You are going tonight
[Verse 2]
Dust on the china
The spiders take over
Without your gracious hands
Chaos remains
The clock the sole reminder
[Verse 3]
Leave this ghost town
Before they burn it down
Before they take the crown
Before you hear the sound
The buzzing of the drone
[Verse 4]
Verdict unanimous
Dawn will turn to dust
And the snow falls down
Your footsteps on the ground
Are lost in the silence
[Verse 5]
We will no longer fear
Sirens and despair
Our songs live on
In the era of stone
A red blinking Zion
[Verse 6]
Leave all that you were
'Cause you won’t need it where
You are going tonight
Pure poetry. It really touches the soul
OMG, OH Dios, nooooo es que las cagó, es buenísima!!!! She's so fucking amazing!

This is a masterpiece. So beautiful and chilling.
i somehow LOVE the outro (starting at 6:16) ♥♥♥ i wish there was a seperate video/song for it!
Pick any Susanne Sundfor song at random and it will leave you in a trance like state of tragic melancholy. Obviously you need to pick and choose when to listen to her 😂
powerfully hypnotizing!!! one of the best songs i have ever heard in my life! if not the best!
Since the album release i spend my nights and cold -hurricane- evenings crying, listening into it.
From beautiful to horrific to beautiful.
Turn off your lights, put on your headphones, try not to cry.
a monumental song.
one of those artists where words seem useless to describe. im in awe of susanne's talent
Starting at 6:15 I am floored
Standing ovation

What an intense experience...i felt so many emotions listening to this masterpiece. The 6:10 mark literally sent shivers down my spine...hunting, overwhelming, beautiful, profound...i can’t find the true word to express my feeling about this wonderful gem.
me too! what makes you feel?
This was hauntingly beautiful and melancholic.
Thanks for everything Susanne🙏❤
This is brilliant Susanne! I can't wait to see you in la soon.
susanne sundfor is amazing
I believe what's in the beginning section is the storytelling of the people affected, knowing they were leaving everything behind because they were in immediate danger, and they didn't have time to think, so the song frames the situation retrospectively. It lets you look back to that moment of escaping for the first time, with the understanding that you didn't have time to think then, so this song lets you reflect on it now. Like grief.
That soundscape bridge in the middle, are the military drones, so this song must be referring to the US bombings in the middle east.
I believe the mood after the drones is one of survival. The lyrics in this section are "We will no longer fear sirens and despair". Whatever comes after this horrible tragedy, good or bad, it can't stop our unstoppable force to survive.
Genesis Drum and Bugle Corp used this piece in their 2019 season - it was just incredible.
This song will stop war
Only the dead have seen the end of war...
Let us hope it will.
Time for people unnion against business war
Or it will generate martyrs.
Harker sure! Democracy and capitalism generates martyrs
It took years but I now hear this song 🎵
Spectacular music 🎶 awesome work
Your album is wonderful adventure! I'm so glad
Grazie per tutto questo, ne abbiamo ancora tanto bisogno.
Perfect.
I can not find the right words, so I just say fantastic
5:52 A race of Asian Giant Hornets 😲😂🐝

I see what you mean when I listened to the other two artists. Really cool.
starts from 4:37, not sure what is that
Imagine a squadron of incoming propeller planes, or more
It's the buzzing sound of military drones. She sings about them in the third verse 1:52 - 2:28.
You ruined my 1944 incoming bomber raid
It's the sound of war
4:40
Gaza will prevail!
I am thinking of Ukraina 🇺🇦💛💙✌️

SLAVA UKRAINE
Just you can remember and forget faster that dirt though that people can have inside. 6:08. Still very helpful to remove them from everywhere.
