  • This is a bit of a departure from my regular videos but highways aren't the only type of transportation infrastructure, we have Ferries here in New Brunswick. We have both cable (river) ferries and self-propelled ferries, the largest being salt water ferries.
This is The Evandale ferry at Evandale, New Brunswick on Canada's East coast. She is christened the Robert J. Irwin (F49) and traverses a 0.5 km stretch of the Saint John River. She operates 24/7, year around and can move 18 cars on her decks per crossing.
At the end of the video, I pass by DTI's ferry maintenance Facility which happens to be at Evandale. One ferry can be seen on the cradle undergoing a complete overhaul and the large shop allows maintenance in the winter months.
