How you approach to a problem Understanding infrastructure components Understanding risk management and defining risk boundaries Facilitation and coordination skills..
You might follow these three points. 1. Get the information from a Tech expert or Solution architect in your project if assgned. As PMs it's not necessary that you know everything technical. Just high level would suffice. 2. By the feedback that you get from these technical SME / Solution Architect you can define risk boundaries and even plan the mitigation. 3. To achieve the above two points need to have right communication skills, ask right questions without being bothersome, and ofcourse needs your facilitation / coordination skills. Hope this helps. Pls remember there is no exact answer or blueprint , As PM it's how you adapt to such challenges makes your work interesting.
