Again, another fantastic video. Can't tell how pleased I am that you don't "cut" the boo-boo's from your videos! All us plastic bait makers knows this is the reality of trying to achieve a top-notch bait like you have done. Keep the content rolling and stay well and healthy!
I don't have a favorite. I actually liked the suck pour also. There is such a fine line to skin pouring. My first looked very good but the delaminated when I tried to use them. Then I used the griddle... Too hot and they blended. Then I broke the wife's griddle lol. I still need to purchase pigments to go with my colors and glitter. $$$ . I got into this to make baits for myself and friends, my wife says I could have purchased a lifetime supply of lures for what I've spent for lead molds and plastic molds and accessories. I super enjoy the hobby. Thanks for all the help and videos as well as your time. Stay safe Chris.
These baits, specially the first ones you poured and showed at 15:27, These colors are perfect for Kokanee land locked salmon up here in northern california !! some have more darkened heads or lines down the side, but that's when they are like 7 or 8 inch, so this is great inspiration.
I actually like the first batch the best. The black/green looks more natural to me. Nice work! Can’t wait for the next rod build. Gonna order some of the color shift stuff and put it on a rod blank. Should be cool!
I like the color but I think the purple is more pink. I would take out the purple layer on the inside of the bait. If you take that same purple with some really fine purple flake and used that as a thin see through skin on the outside of the bait. Then did the other three layers it would look awesome. I always enjoy watching your channel keep up the great work.
Chris, I didn't see any mistakes, just some awesome bass killing swimbaits! I really liked the smoke/green ones! They looked very natural in their coloration. Yous just too hard on your self lol.
Got the baits yesterday, thanks again for sending them! I'll be sharing them with fishing buddies I've shared your videos with. One of them and I are wanting to build our own rods now. Thanks for all your videos and sharing your knowledge!
Totally Awsome thanks for the step by step great dining you have me to where I think I can make a shad color hoping wished I could put scales into mix maybe airbrush a scale onto them and dip into a clear coat maybe thanks
It’s so funny, hearing you talk “failure” when I would absolutely use those and feel confident they would catch good ones 👍🙌🎣 I’m saying this after your first batch, and I love the lavender vein on shad. The shad in North Carolina have those shades
Hey sir I think they both looked great! I’m glad I was filming my attempts at hand carving a top water bait today. No scroll saw or belt sand. Just me a mora knife sand paper and drills. But we learn from our mistakes and move on!
World's Worst Fishing typo in my first comment, I wasn’t filming. Mr Marling makes it look pretty easy, but he’s been doing it a while longer than I have.
Chris--can you point me to whichever of your videos goes through dialing-in griddle temperature for laminates? Noob here...I cannot seem to get mine set up correctly; either too cold and the layers don't bond, or too hot and everything mixes. Love your channel!
Hi Chris, i've got the swimbait open poor mold and it looks great! Well done. But I think I have been making something wrong because I got 5 lures out of 7 try with the curve effect on the top of the lure and on the tail. Do you do something special to prevent it? I'm warming the mold and after i poored the lure I put it back in the oven for 15 mins and then cool it slowly. Would enjoy a tip!
Chris. You should invent an injector with a glass window or measurement on the injector stork and use for the open pour moulds. Keep up the great work man.
Man I think these might be a new favorite color for me. And even those “rejects” looked pretty dang good to me. I’m sure I could catch some big ole fish with em. Solid work and as always great video!
The color shifts look better to me for sure, however I'm not sure it would matter to the Fish. Heck we many never really know unless you do a head to head challenge with someone like Simple Jack, lol. Anyway, that mold is awesome, AI makes great stuff. I guess it's time I order my own molds and take the plunge into this hobby.
Would love to see these new hand pours in action. On the water videos maybe some clear underwater action segments. Absolutely love the videos. Keep them coming. Those baits look amazing. 👍
I decided to buy 4 swimbait molds from ai angling after watching your video . Can u tell me the hot plate temperature setting u should keep it at while making the baits? Thanks
Hey, alot of great information on your channel. Do you know of any molds for 9" or even 12" parachute swimbaits? I'm in Maryland and striped bass trolling is big around here and I haven't been able to find any molds. Thanks in advance!
Really like that charcoal and green, look like it would be a good bluegill color how bout you try that next bluegill colored swimbates, skin pour the vertical lines like northern bluegill and that kinda yellowish golden color for the bottom that would be sick!
hahaha i tell my wife i'm allergic to washing dishes. Stay safe mate. The warm season should help you there. We just lost our warm weather here in Country Oz.
Your swimbaits always impress me. I recently picked up those new Berkeley 3d swimbaits they are pretty beefy I've tried every size hook I own and I got tons even my ewg 5/0 hooks with a under spin blade from owner just didn't fit nicely after rigging it up it just didn't seem like enough room between the belly and hook for a good hook set. Can you recommend a swimbait hook that would fit such a large fat swimbait?
By the way idk if you seen the baits I'm talking about but I've never been a Berkeley fan till these new 3d soft plastics. They are very similar to the style baits in this video.
Hey Chris, I haven't been with you for a long time, but now I'm back i love this channel i love this channel i love this channel many Greetings capital angler
After watching quite a few of your videos it occurs to me that I don't understand when you'd choose to use a liquid pigment verses a powder pigment, assuming they're both the same color. Is there some sort of guidelines or rules for that? Does it even matter? That might be a video idea for you to do. Thanks.
Ok, so liquids and powders look different. Let's say I want to pour/inject a basic color, white for a belly. So I have a bottle of liquid white and a jar of powder white, which to use? Is one going to be "whiter" than the other? I can understand being good with both, but that's my problem, when to choose between them. Can't be good unless you understand when to use one verses the other. Thanks
What temp are you running your griddle. If I do laminates they come out sticky. I wonder if I too hot. I had this problem so I switched plastic brands. Still sticky😐frustrating
@@WorldsWorstFishing do you offers sales to the public...looking for 3.5-5" exact colors if you have the molds 7" would be great for muskie fishing also

Perfect isn't perfect in the natural world. I like a subtle difference or little imperfections in a "natural" color bait, that's why I like hand pour baits.
Haha what a cluster on that first attempt! Check out my affiliate link in the description for awesome pigments!!

Thanks art
I was going to say the same thing

By the way, the second set of shad baits were UNBELIEVABLE! Great work! Love the color shift combo on the top of the bait. Wow!
Thank you man...yeah the screw ups are kinda funny
I have never seen a disaster turn out so great. Both are great pours. Keep it up.

I like both ... IMO the more gray first pour would suit me as a better colored bait in slightly stained water

All of them can out great! Have you tried using a syringe to use for your black dots on the gill plates?
the plastic sets up too quick when in a small syringe.
Love the colors...
Great job
Thanks guys...fry some catfish for me!
It was awesome the whole way through. You rock bro.

I have them! DM me on insta
Just starting out would a heat gun work instead of hot plate just for one mold at a time? Or does the hot pad work that much better
Liked the rejects better, too much sfx in the colorshifts but in the end it only matters if the fish likes them.
Yes sometimes more simple can be great
Could using turkey basters / squeezy bottles help to do dots?
I personally have not had much luck trying those kinds of things
How about empty eye drop bottles?
What's the purpose of the griddle? What brand of gloves do you use?

Have you thought of trying the color shifts in a worm yet? Many marine worms are very iridescent like the polychaete worms.
Yes..did some red shad worms with colorshift last week
Do you sell these? And if so how do I get them? Would love to see some bigger 8 or 9 inch ones
When do you use swimbait blend vs the craw/tube plastisol?
Call this color Party Shad. Lol

thank you

Amazing I need to pick this mold up
Agree
They look like striper catching baits here in Arkansas. Very rainbow trout-like.
Thanks Matt
I love rejects! I usually talk to my dog when making baits and I just say, "oh no! Daddy needs to keep these." ;-)

What temp are you running your griddle. If I do laminates they come out sticky. I wonder if I too hot. I had this problem so I switched plastic brands. Still sticky😐frustrating
And those came out awesome.
Use a normal syringe without the needle to do the dots (wallmart sells them). Much easier.
I think the mess ups are sweet...id like to have them...where can i purchase those.....and more in future??
im sorry they already sold

Hello Chris, Question for ya. do you check the the softness with a Durometer or just guess?
you buy certain "blends" of plastic, so you already know the firmness

Haha oh yeah..
where can i buy your lures?

Hi, im from Canada and I want to know where I can buy your swimbait!?
The intermixing veins had a colorshift appearance too it seemed
Yeah in a way..they interacted well
Where can I order your swimbaits or can I buy them? Jeff Piil of fringe sold his 7” molds like yours and I need some
Well I have 6" mold just like his 7" and the 6" mold from this video that I developed with angling Ai. I don't have one in 7" yet. You are welcome to email me however, worldsworstfishing@gmail.com
That first one looked like baby trout I bet those would slay
Still a good video, its always a learning experience. And I like to say, no matter how good you are they can't all be gold lol.
Haha yep
How to you adhere the eyeball to the plastic so it stays on through casting and or hookups with fish? Thanks!
Loctite gel
Where do you purchase your packaging for your baits
a plastic manufacturer in hong kong
Hey I`m new on this channel and a wonder where i can get that molds?
Angling Ai
Where can i buy your lures
I want to know if the baits is saltwater or freshwater.
That depends on wherever you throw it.
Lol everyone makes mistakes even a personal and you do awesome keep up the great work.
Thanks
