For all those that feel it pollutes, it's now oil fired and only runs smoke in the air when adding oil and many times even then it depends on the load it is running, such as a grade. The over the road trucks belch more into the air and idle all night long in many cases. There are very few of these magnificent locomotives left, let us train lovers have some enjoyment!🚂
This is unique... Love 💕 love all trains... This is awsome ..K:) bck to a Lil history. Seeing all these people coming together... For a Lil Joy in St. Louis.. Etc..

That looked like the Kirkwood Mo. station. I wanted to go there to see Big Boy but I just couldn’t make it. I did get to see the 844 there on October 18, 2016. That for me sure was a thrill.

That’s what I thought stupid ass Oh and btw comment above is correct
Humanity peaked with the steam locomotive, yet we kept pushing "forward". Now look at us. Look at where were at. Its hubris that got us where we are, not steam locomotives.
This is one of the very few still operating steam locomotives. It makes one trip, once a year. In terms of contribution to greenhouse gases, this is negligible. And if you eat meat or dairy, drive a car, or use electricity, then you YOURSELF are far worse than this train in terms of the environment. The solution to the problem of emissions and their impact on the environment lies in a complete and total revision of our current infrastructure. It is not something that can be fixed by banning a steam engine, for crying out loud. Literally the dumbest comment I've read in a long time. And to disrespect this particular engine is to spit in the face of the engineers and brilliant minds who used limited resources to pioneer something new and revolutionary. The basic function of a steam engine (which dates back to the early 1800s) operates on the same working principle of a modern internal combustion engine that is found in cars today. Go read a book.
I was born too late to actually witness the steam era. Thank goodness for video.😊😊
America🇺🇲 needs to bring its trains back.....🚂🚃🚃🚃🚃🚃.

Thus is a living relic of America's past, thanks to its efforts you can afford the phone you type on
should be banned from operating on enviromental grounds
