I am just now working on my flashers for my f1700, lucky enough I found a flasher unit like in your video at home hardware. I looked at the fuse box and found from top down a 30a, two five amp and a 25a, first time I looked at them, do you have the same? I have to check my manual. Very good videos by the way, I changed both front knuckles soon after I had bought the tractor 20 years ago, it wasn’t by choice, one hub broke off! I watched your video on that and that coupler was a real pain! Keep up the good work mate!
I did not look in the tractor, but fuses should be 15A at the top, follow by three 5A according to both the operator's manual, and the wiring diagram in the service manual. The tractors were sold with an extra 15A and 5A fuse in the fuse box in case one blew. I know I still have those, so I don't think any ever blew on mine. If you have an older (pre 1981) 1700, the original front axles were prone to breaking, particularly on machines equipped with a loader. Fortunately, I have one of the later 1700s with the stronger front axles. The coupler setup is the same either way though! Thanks for watching!
thank you. I have a ford 1720 with the same problem and this solution worked great.
