Sweet campaign Ludi! A starting option to consider is Stabbing up and selling crownlands on day 1 and you can revoke the Mestnichestvo system before unpausing
@@sutixela I find it very strange for certain Europeans nowadays calling Russia "Muscovy". Moskva is just a city. It was never a national state like some German cities. People of Moskva always considered themselves Russian.

Serfdom was less harsh the eastern peasants lived. Povolzhie and sibir region almost had no serfdom While former poland cities had harsh serfdom(however under commonwealth rule it was even harsher). Baltic region had serfdom restriction since 18th century or something
Yes, because serfdom established itself on core territory and Povolzhie was a frontier zone in these times, where you need lure people in, not keep them from leaving. Also serfdom in fact became harsh around Petr the Great becoming the tzar, country needed money and labor concentration to modernize itself, and Russia is a poor country, so they chose to suck peasantry dry. Also there is a connection between serfdom customs in Commonwealth and Russia, after Russia claimed the current ukraine's and belarus territory they found the polish serfdom quite alluring, bc of it's profits.
I played with Russia first when DLC came out and before this video. I must say that I enjoyed it A LOT, not only super fun but the modernization mechanics made Russia a military and economic superpower. I finished my game with 135% discipline, 500K manpower reserves and more than 4K develop. Also, being able to change your technology to western was pretty useful to reach this full potential. If you never played Russia before... GO FOR IT BLYAT
@@magikille You must complete a mission as Russia (not muscovy). As your game progressess you will unlock missions and one of them is to modernize the army :)

I never know why to integrate Pskov at the beginning, while it is the most beneficial vassal one can have (additional merchant and merchant power = slightly richer Novgorod node, level3 fort u don't pay for, but Lithuanians and Swedes love besieging it)). I would even say it is the best vassal ever for anyone who doesn't have many economic buffs in ideas.
If great horde has strong allies and you dont want to restart you can just refuse to pay the tribute and they wont be able to tech up their military tech because they have to spend 50 mil every year in order to raid you.
I think some of your intro on the Tartar Yoke and Muscovy is a little off. May I suggest ‘The Horde’ by Marie Favereau for further insights if you’re interested and/or bored. Love your vids though, keep them coming 🫡
i liked for the weird noises. More please :-) Also, i got my wallet back, thank you Ludi! i did find a membership card to a cult however, just needed to remind you of that :-)
Hey Ludi, how should I improve my economy as Muscovy? it always seems so difficult to get a decent economy going. Right now, I am transfering trade from Persia, Crimea, Kazan etc and my trade income is around 100.

i love how muscovy basically turned into a horde because of all the manpower missions and constant claims, that 15% ccr is crazy bruh
Yee but no perma claims
@@dusanignjatovic841 true but at the same time that's why you get all that manpower and mass expand, ccr helps with that
You're just going to be a bit more strategic with the clicking the missions.

Hey Ludi dont hate ESO, there are some awesome quests in there. I really enjoyed the missions in Summerset and getting able to see the Ayleids.
Your sense of humor is something else xD I always get a chuckle out of it though -- keep being awesome Ludi
The estate is Mestnichestvo (Месtничество). Mesten (Местен) = local. Mestnichestvo would be locality, or something that happens in a local vicinity.
