someone on reddit reccomended me this video to help with my anxiety of time going too fast and im very inspired!! you have a great mindset and philosophy
I like your philosophy, it's well thought out. Time goes so quickly as you age because most of the exciting challenges, which really slows time down, are behind you, and as you say, walking the same street every day speeds time up. I agree that your philosophy would make life seem longer. However, if ones' goal in life is to eliminate as many hassles as possible and leisurely smell the roses, then life would pass more quickly but for some, more pleasantly. It really all depends on the personality and the age of the individual. In my youth [ up to 65 ] my philosophy was similar to yours. But in my old age [ Iam 86], I prefer to sit in my garden and smell the roses!
Best video ever! You nailed it about seeing new cultures, new worlds. Time expands. New experiences every day. I started following you in Zambia, binge-watched to today (10/19/24), now binge-watching from the start. 😊 Fantastic journey. Let's go, guys! 😄
Good to share,i enjoyed your travels in Africa,,now im watching all from Kenya 🇰🇪🙏‼️,this are better videos than watching mainstream tv,, you dont interact,,i like when you respond to your situations and raw views,eg,in middle east, Kenya was very interesting, the breakdown, and the Uganda rage night at the hotel etc 😂😂
I agree with you on the traveling...Although I have traveled for 3-4 months for the last 10+ years....I start my full-time traveling in 8 more weeks....with no real itinerary....
I started to Watch your channel since a couple of days ...i know that You are in Etiopia now...i decided to Watch your videos from the start and everyday u give me a feeling of Freedom, i do love Ur "moyenne de faire" and i appreciate how u push yourself ahead mindly and phisically. I already forgot Ur name, btw u are One of the Best youtuber i'm following. Go ahead french guy! And good luck! 🎉
You are a different Yves from the one we know now. Here you were more reserved, but right now you are more outgoing, and your signature, "Morning my friends"
Thanks I would recommend your channel for anyone who is in Hospice. You are fulfilling bucket list for many people. I would have loved to do what you are doing but unable.
I am glad I watched this. You make some interesting points. I picked up your channel when you biked in Kenya and I thought...let me see my country through the eyes of a french biker. I thought I would stick with you until you left Kenya but I have come to enjoy 'biking' through different cultures, systems, languages, bad roads, some very captivating scenery. 👍
I wish if I would have known you the time before you came in Tanzania so that I would have seen you when you pass here in my home town Kigoma Tanzania🇹🇿
Thanks for the insight. Not sure I agree with everything you said (the part about the ego), but I have thought along similar lines regarding the sense of time and living always in the same place, repeating the same patterns over and over again. As you said, we would feel more alive if we had the chance to see new scenaries and people more often, and I believe many would benefit from the nomadic lifestyle. I have already seen many of your videos, and I have liked them so far. It's a pity that you aren't able to communicate with people maybe as deeply as you'd like to, due to language barrier. But anyway, to conclude, it's all good, and I wish you a wonderful journey.
I respect people who are out of the whirlwind of social expectation. I'm Ethiopian and came to watch your videos when you were there. This video was randomly recommended to me today and im glad i stumbled upon it. It gave me broader insight about you. You are a brave soul. I just have one unanswered question about your travel. Why didn't you travel to ex French colonies like most French do and why did you choose to use English as your commentary? I'll be honest. I was a bit annoyed when you got frustrated by the people who were following you all over the road in Ethiopia. Then again you were right to express your raw emotions. That keeps the footage real. I was wrong to judge you on that. Keep breaking legs Yves.i want to be like you when i grow up 😅
Why not the French colonies: I will travel the former French colonies, but I don't really like to travel these places as I expect some people to have an understandable resentment towards French people. Why in English: Because of the broader audience (it is almost impossible to make a living from a French speaking travel UA-cam channel).
Great point it’s a blessing to realize it but also scary at the same time. I spent almost a month in Africa and it felt like two years, and when I spent two years in the United States, it feels like nothing.
Truth. Life is like a clock. And new experiences are like the ticking of the clock. If you have no experiences, time passes without ticking and you experience life sped up
I am inspired by this journey. I wish i could also do the same. I started following your journey from Kyenjojo Uganda to wherever you ll go. I decided to look at how all this started. My question is how are you able to fund all this journey??
I wonder if your initial list of reasons why you cycle around the world, will change by the time you complete your trip, or when you arrive home for time being. I bet it will change :) By the way, beautiful landscape, unreal in fact.
@alexsoto9520yes, he said from previous work as an engineer on a cable ship. Maybe dividends from stocks, we don't know for sure. But I love this channel, a lot of inspiration. I'm working abroad, but what he does is quite different and real freedom. 👍
freedom is great and important but some people still fight for it just to be free doing or going wherever they want, its so sad to see AFRICAN passport holders can not be free to travel in Europe or in America just for fun or tourism reasons because they have an African passport . its pretty challenging to get visas for a mere African man who just need to enjoy his freedom to move wherever he want /WE NEED BOARDERLESS WORLD where people can move wherever they want LIKE BIRDS
2yrs later in Kenya now in Uganda such a motivation
Yes, you are right ....I saw that in Kenya are more views than in the ME ..... Good luck !!
someone on reddit reccomended me this video to help with my anxiety of time going too fast and im very inspired!! you have a great mindset and philosophy
I followed from Africa. Now I decided to watch you from beginning of your journey. You're so amazing to bike, not using motorcycle nor car.
I like your philosophy, it's well thought out. I definitely agree with you, it depends a lot on the age and the personality. Everyone has to find its own way to pleasantly live life.
86 years is pretty well done, lot of don't get this chance, i hope i would be able to reach the same
It’s not what you prefer, you have no other choice by now.
I literally wanna watch all your previous videos before the African adventure.my favourite youtuber

I love everything you said but what kept coming to my mind is, how do/can you afford such a lifestyle?
3yrs later. Bro you are an inspiration
My time traveler ❤! Truly understood!🎉! Cheers 🥂!
What a beautiful country

adopting such a progressive mindset as you do is the biggest challenge for most of us I guess. You live your time full Kino.
Watching from Nairobi
I enjoy watching your adventures

I loved what said about time and how always going somewhere takes longer than the return journey ❤
Wow. Tu as trouvé la clé du temps donc!

@@KinoYves I get it now. Thanks

That was beautifully put 💯. I never thought about it like that.

I think memory create the feeling of life

Exactly 👍
I like your carriage man❤
I agree with you Yves.

By the way, beautiful landscape, unreal in fact.
Yeah, you are right, with time, the reasons will surely change.
And yeah, the landscape was incredible in this valley.
Guy just left kenya 🇰🇪 to Uganda and all I can say reasons haven't changed
What a beautiful country 😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅
Can anyone tell me what the last song is in this video? Thank you!
Mas Feliz Del Mundo by Ofir Atar! I got it from Shazam :)
@@Aethelhadas Thank you so much!
You looked different here 😅 I guess you're probably in Tanzania or DRC. Watching from Kenya
What kind of bicycle is this ? name please ? anyone ?
How can you afford it ?
Digital work like what the digital nomads do probably. Im wondering the same thing too
he said it, he worked hard for seven years... and now with 66k followers he makes money with YT. Hard work pays off no matter where you come from
by selling his farts in bottles (for real)... ladies love it!

Hey Yve!!! I noticed that people are interested in your journey only for middle east, you have more audience there....My opinion .
I made much more views in Kenya than in the Middle East.
Though in Iraq, I also made many views. So, in this sense, you are right.
100%
Enjoy
👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
salut l ami, tu as utilisé quelles appli durant ton trip a velo? (komoot, Gmaps, etc...)
