Congrats on the one arm pullup strength. There's so much commitment required to get to this level. Patience is key for pain free progress and avoiding golfers elbow!
Hey Colin.. every time we watch you do one of these challenges.. showing all the hard work you do.. and all the setbacks you go through.. and then you get there.. always makes me cry😭😭😭.. My three sons tell me doing one arm pull-ups when you’re over 6 feet with long legs.. is almost impossible.. And we all want you to know we are so proud of you for your perseverance and resilience in getting the job done.💪 We think you’re an amazing guy who makes the best videos ever.. keep going Colin❣️ Jen999💜💙
Thank you so much!! I’m glad everyone liked it and I think they’re right it’s way harder when you’re taller. But we got it done I’ll have to get started on a new challenge for y’all.
Hey Colin, came back to this video to say thank you. I just hit my first one arm pullup after a year of training. I remember watching this video when i started and i couldn’t even do 1 normal pullup. So thanks for motivating
Good job bro! Welcome to the one arm pull up club! it took me a while too. 12 months rock climbing and 3 months of training got me my first OAP! it took dedication!
You were the one to motivate me to start going to the gym. As a skinny fat teen, it was really hard to gain weight, but now things are looking up.Thanks for the push I needed to change!! (Note to whom it may concern: Just start and persevere, and you will definitely see gains in anything you wish to achieve. )
thank you for this. it meant a lot that you shared the tough couple months you went through. i relate to that so much… one of my goals is to be able to handstand. someday crow to handstand but start a bit easier… i trained diligently for several months. then it all slipped away. i lost muscle and was not taking care of myself. its scary how powerful your thoughts can be. i am to the point where i am getting back into it. i get hard on myself because i should be farther along than i am. where i want to be at least. anyway thank you again for sharing the reality of learning something as hard as a one arm pull up. maybe might add it to my calisthenic goal list too. im grateful i found your channel and i hope you have a great day too 🌻
Thank you so much for the comment. I totally relate and it is scary how our brains can take off on their own. It can be hard to stay positive and it turns into a runaway train. I’m glad your back at it tho and the crow to handstand is a fun one to learn! Good luck training it and you have a good day too
the best thing to do in the face of failure is to move forward. don't dwell on it, the past won't change. analyze, plan, and improve. notice patterns that trigger a relapse and eliminate them.
Seeing an average guys like you just posting his journey, doing his workouts at home, buying his equipment from Walmart.... Bro you're inspiring! A testament thst anyone can do it. All he needs is a bar to hang from. 💪👍 Thanks for thr motivation. Keep it going brother!
very exciting and entertaining video. i felt the pride of the results like if i got it myself! i feel very motivated to start my own oap journey even tho i currently have a bad golfer's elbow. but i'll get it 🙏🏼
Thanks and good luck I was lucky and only had elbow problems for a week but by resting on negatives and after only doing band assist for a bit it went a way
What really helps is using you non pulling hands pinky finger to wrap around the bar as a little support and if you could do 10 reps like this, you can do a rep of one-arm pullup.
There is no counting of how many reps of something you can do to achieve something. Its just a rumor and works differently for everyone depending on their muscle proportion and weight distribution. For me, my maximum muscle proportion is on my arms and shoulders, and most of the extra weight is around the abdomen, which makes it harder to pull myself, but easier to push.
I love your energy a lot, thank you for making us smile~ ! also CONGRATS! Side question: I am working on my one arm pull up too, any tip you would give to stay in good form?
In my case, I’ve never done any training for one arm pull up. All i did, was weighted pullups. And one day I tried a one arm pull up and it just happened) Your video gives a great explanation to the process
I have a question. What really helped you to do the first part of the one arm pull up. I can do the top half, i can do negatives and i can hold the chin above the bar with one hand but the first part is different. Can you give me some advice, please? Btw, congrats in your results.🎉
Did you do alot of isometrics too? Static mid bottom iso holds i have always had much easier time with the first initial part but hardest with the last closing part of the forearm bicep elbow angle
I think determination is built by braking down the goal and getting small wins. So you have it, you just need to find what means a lot to you. I still need to work on mine tho I suck at so much stuff still lol
I was able to do a one arm pull up. I will add that the exercise is very taxing to my elbow. So much that it compromise my bench press strength and vice versa, if my arm are sore from weight lifting, I can't do a one arm pull up. So i think one should be fully recovered before even trying.
For a moment i was imagine you reaching it and celebrating as yeaaaah fuuuuuck some kind of rude expressions you know… you looked in a hole and magically you got it what a reward
After five month of training I've lost my consistency brother. Recently I've graduated and unemployed. And confused. Not getting motivation. Seeing you i started training and got shredded and gained weight even got aesthetic visible abs. And now for 1 and half month got distracted. 😑
Yea that happened to me recently too I hope you get back to it though. I know for me buying headphones helped cause it made working out fun again idk just a suggestion
Hello, Collin! I am currently working on my handstands, but all my determination gets out the window because of the awful feeling of blood rushing into the head and face and staying there. Is there some way to reduce it? Does it just get better with practice?
You can get any pull ups at one arm?! Congrats!! 👏👏😁🤗 What's your weight? I'm 92lbs' or 42kg's dwarf with mini-bodybuilder and I can get 5 pull ups at one arm with Pull Up Mate using despite my age of 43 years old. But I'll try more reps as strengther in next weeks... 😁🥰
First??Maybe a pin😮😮

Congrats on the one arm pullup strength. There's so much commitment required to get to this level. Patience is key for pain free progress and avoiding golfers elbow!
Mr. Vadnal
Thanks bro! Trying to master patience like you and maybe hit a straddle planche one day
I’ve developed some shoulder pain from training for the OAP. So just thought I need to train my rear delts some more idk
All the insane and impressive training you did aside, I LOVE the mini rave😂😍

Idk the percentage but I can do 2 plates for 3-4 reps

What about the left arm
Hello, Collin! I am currently working on my handstands, but all my determination gets out the window because of the awful feeling of blood rushing into the head and face and staying there. Is there some way to reduce it? Does it just get better with practice?
Yeah I hate that feeling but it goes away the more you practice. Keep with it and just hold it against a wall so you get comfortable upside down!
@@colinmurrayYT Alright, thanks a lot for the reply, mate!

Your right side must have become so strong omg.
Lmao I have a small muscle imbalance now😂 My left is almost there tho
Any fix for imbalances with pull ups? My right side is more developed than left even if "focus" on my left side
I liked archer pull-ups more for that the one arm pull-up prolly made my right side stronger even though I trained both sides
what's your bodywheigtht?
Bro does training one arm pull up will help in muscle up and high pull up
No my progress went way down for that but I also gained weight so I can’t say for sure
