Very touching. A beautifully modulated and superbly pitched rendition of this song. Acoustic delight sung with great dignity and class befitting the segment's moments of reflection on those we have lost in the Australian entertainment industry. Audience applause for their respective mates 'gone too soon' was so respectful. And as the song reached it's crescendo, a soaring note raised the emotion in the room - perfectly judged by Casey Donovan. At song's conclusion she deferred to the screen behind her as the audience rose to their feet....a class act.
Someone stop me I can't stop crying that was so beautiful Casey what an honour to have Casey sing in Memory of everyone that has passed. This makes no sense to anyone but me at the moment ..but I thought of Bert Newton the whole way through this song and memorial to all these lovely people that have passed...What I am trying to say is I dead to hear of Bert Newton passing every day..I like other's must think of Bert like a family member I know I do.I never want to hear of Bert passing..I don't know anyone that could say a bad word about Bert and if there is they bettereave the country quick smart...Bert will and has always been The King of Television in Australia and always will be.I hope he is comfortable where ever he is...I have a bad feeling he may have a memory illness and is in a home somewhere ..but whereever he is I wish him so much love and respect and he deserves every inch of all of it.
To Michael Phillips comment below of course this is not about Casey Donovan but the way she sang the song and the respect she gave to those people who had passed was amazin. Even she pointed to the screen at the end of the song for respect. She was amazin and she made the tribute so special love casey
i just read a comment by oh Elvira saying people shouldnt of clapped mid song. do you realise that the families of that loved one were in the audience and they clapped for the person they lost as support...what a simple minded statement to make. Casey was humble and amazing she was asked to perform for this moment and yes its about who we have lost but for the emotion and respect she earned singing and performing warranted clapping and a standing ovation(never before recieved btw here). it was perfect i clapped too
Absolutely blows me away, so beautifully sung. I wish they had Casey sing this for the opening of the Invictus Games. Would have been perfect tribute to all those amazing athletes.
Yeah, great performance. Really loud. Got right in the ear. Great guitar. Nearly matched the singing for volume. No tenderness in the nihilistic song. Perfect for a present day presentation. Good thing those photos couldn't be seen, as they flashed across the screen in a second. I thought they were portrait photos, but I couldn't tell, since they flashed across the screen so quickly. Yep, things are definitely getting better. We've got heaps more class now than we yousta
It’s was a tribute to Reg Grandy, who was big Tv producer that put so many shows on Australia Tv and was leading into the memorial tribute to those we had lost that year…. 🧐🇦🇺
Sorry but this wasnt about Casey Donovan. It was about the people who have served the industry so well who have lost their lives. No need to applaud mid song
OhElvira good old keyboard warrior OhElvira, freedom of speech is one of the things we love about this country, and you have such a good grasp of the english language clearly 😀
Michael Phillips Freedom of speech? What the fuck are you on about? Freedom of speech doesn't negate that people can't think your opinion is stupid. And thank you, I have a communications degree.
Best Casey Donovan performance I have heard. Such a brilliant tribute to In Memorium. I hope to hear more of that sound from her...

Suzy Muir totally agree with you~ am gutted by hearing that Rosemary Margan died~ Dread to think what I’ll be like when Bert or Darryl pass away

Outstanding
Absolutely beautiful xx
Simply beautiful
She truly has an amazing voice
That back catalogue does help put into perspective why The Golden Age of Television is used to describe now.
Fantastic Casey. Singing a powerful song that David Bowie, My hero, would be proud of you singing this song.
Wow, Casey you are amazing. Definitely the highlight of the Logies. A beautiful tribute to those we lost last year...
Absolutely beautiful💕
AMAZING,beautiful voice & tribute.

The only thing I ever liked about Australian Idol was Casey. A great performer, resilient and oh so talented.
Why is this girl not representing Australia in Eurovision??? My GOD...her voice needs to be heard.
The food bill to get her there would be too much🤷🏼♀️
@@westaussie965 yr a dickhead!
Wow
Great singing Casey
Gah,
Fanbloody tastic. Casey’s Voice is amazing.
And that would be "In MemoriAm". Jesus wept.
Best to just mute it.

Michael Phillips huh? People clap for the person that has passed and shown on screen. How did you not comprehend that you moron?

"If you haven't got anything nice to say, then don't say anything at all"
I'd do away with this Memorian segment..it's very depressing and takes away the lightheartedness of the Logies.
She is an awful singer. Ruins everything
Wow! Jealous are we. You must be tone deaf then. She nailed it.😊
