    i’m going to take this video as a sign to pull myself together, brush off the dust, wipe my tears, and make some dessert to make myself feel better. I’m then going to eat the dessert with coffee, and read a good book. and when I’m ready, I’m going to take out my journal, plan out the work I have to do this week, and get started with a fresh mind.

    In Brazil we call that filling to the chocolate coconut pie "brigadeiro", it's a traditional dessert here and it's soooo good!
    Really loved the video!

    • @isagrnr
      @isagrnr 3 роки тому +17

      My Brazilian exchange student made brigadeiro with me and she made it with condensed milk (not vegan though) and I would describe the consistency as fudgy and it had crumbles in it. Is that always the case or are there different ways of making brigadeiro? (+ the filling of minas cake to me looked more like firm cream If you know what I mean haha)

    • @korrih
      @korrih 3 роки тому +12

      @@isagrnr It depends a lot of who is making it and for what. When I wasn't vegan I used to eat the non-vegan version with condensed milk but I didn't like when it had crumbles and my sister loved. When we make brigadeiro for birthday parties we let it take a more firm consistency, so we can shape it in little balls. The non-vegan version is the most common but to make it vegan we do just like Mina did, but with any plant-based milk.
      (Sorry if I said something wrong, I'm not used with real conversations in english😂)

    • @isagrnr
      @isagrnr 3 роки тому +8

      @@korrih it’s fine your English is really good and I am not native either (I’m German). Okay that sounds reasonable to me! We made brigadeiro twice because she brought two cans of condensed milk and one time we made it in a bowl to eat it with my family and the other time we also made little balls because we gifted them at a wedding. I am definitely making some again because now I am craving some good brigadeiro haha this time I can try the vegan one!
      Also I love the crumbles in it too kkkkk

    Hi,
    Here's my favourite recipe for breakfast. First you have to cut the banana. Then take rice paper and soak it in water. If you do that you can wrap cut banana in rice paper. Next you have to fry banana in a pan (you can use: coconut oil or butter). Fry until browned. At the end you can serve with fruits and honey, maple syrup or whatever :)
    Enjoy!

    An easy vegan icecream is to get some frozen fruit (I use bananas and strawberries) and blend them with some non dairy milk and a bit of vanilla. if you don't have that you can use any sweetener, and I think that will work. Then blend them together and put into a bowl and freeze for like an hour, or you could eat it right after you blend.

    I don't know if you made these before but vegan Bounty bars are super easy!
    Just combine shredded coconut, coconut milk (the creamy stuff from the top of the can), rice syrup and melted coconut oil. Let it set in the fridge a little bit, then shape into balls/bars (or press the mixture onto some sort of tray or a baking tin with removable sides and then cut it into slices). You can chill these in the fridge or even freezer again, if you feel like they are too brittle. Then finally coat them with melted dark chocolate. Delicious!!
    I usually eyeball this recipe so I can't give exact measurements but you'll definitley find some if you google it. Or just experiment :)

    Uses:
    Spread on toast, take dinner rolls with the spread and shredded vegan cheese then cook in broiler, put the drizzle on top of vegan pizza [or use the spread kind in place of sauce], put in pasta instead of tomato sauce, or on tofu or really anything!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
    Please try this in a video its so good its my go to sauce for everything and its soy free, gluten free, nut free and vegan of course! It took a long time to invent this recipe try out its uses and type it up so it would mean a lot to me if you used it but if not that's ok!

    These are great recipes! I also like a lot some sort of apple tiramisu, it's also zwieback as base - being put into strong chai tea, then a layer of apple sauce and cinnamon, then a layer of coconut yogurt (which is quite firm when cooled), and so on with the layers - in the end, put on top more cinnamon instead of cacao powder

    mmmmm I did the same thing with tiramisu this christmas as it's my favourite dessert but I found I'm dairy intolerant. I used tofu instead of yoghurt which made it airy but sooo heavy and indulgent *drools*. Also I am SO making that chocolate pie ohh mama

    there is just something about tiramisu, it's like babyfood, but with coffee and lots of creaminess, and I am 100% going to try this recipe

    You have the right idea with using ground flax seed. I can see that's what your replacement for the eggs is. Though, if you want a really fine ground powder. Ener-G egg replacer is just that, and it also has instructions on the back to mix with water for use in every day recipes that do call for eggs! 😁
