Reflecting on 2023 // Coaching, Roka, Getting Married & Dealing with Sad News // RecoverED Life

A little personal update and reflection on 2023. It's been a big year: getting married, being full-time self employed, welcoming Roka into our lives and going on lots of great trips with several more planned for 2024. But it's also been a year with some sad news regarding my fathers health and having to accept the reality that this will be our last Christmas together. A real roller coaster of a year but I am grateful for all the wonderful people in my life (family, friends, clients and colleagues) and more aware than ever just how precious our time on this planet really is. I truly empathise with you in regards to knowing it will be the last Christmas you'll spend with a loved one.
I was the same with my own Dad, sadly he had a second family and we weren't asked to join them on the actual day. Not looking for sympathy but appreciate how much it will to you to be with him. I know it's just one day out of a whole year but it's that last chance to make memories. My Dad passed 3 months later.
