hi Rizzla! thank you for appreciating my voice :) before I sing, I do deep breathing, like when I smell fresh air in the morning (my lungs expand and my abdomen is relaxed). when i feel that my lungs have opened up well, i slowly and gradually sing the song I want, feeling each note ride on each breath. the marriage of the breathing and output of the sound are important. nothing should feel painful. if it is painful or straining, what you're doing might be wrong or damaging. i also open my mouth well and pronounce each word well. when i'm done with this warm up and i want to sing the song already, I pray and ask the Holy Spirit to guide my voice :) i hope this helps! God bless you and praying that you will be able to achieve the voice that God wills you to have!
also, don't copy how I sing it! discover your own sound :) i'm sure you will! understand the message of the song for you too, it helps in unlocking your own unique sound :)
