The end of the era. Was great watching ya'll play through the game. Glad you guys didn't end up getting to frustrated with the chase sequence.
Personally, I do think the streams go a bit smoother when you have a curated hintkeeper like Danial around to provide tips and hints. I know the people in chat are well meaning but they can be a little too quick to spoil stuff.

AMAZING. I bought this game behind my parent's back when I was about 14 years.
It made a huge impression on me, especially since I grew up in a religious cult, and this sort of "thing" (video games) was seen as the Evil trying to affect young minds.
The game was a huge relief for a young mind. Fantastic art play, and the music was amazing.
I'm so glad I stumbled upon this series. Victoria was doing a fantastic job back in the day.
I hope I'll get to play P2 next soon.

I was surprised that you can get blood with a piece of glass, too! The first time I played the game in 1995, I used a brooch pin. But only action I didn't know was that you can give brooch to Lou Ann, and use glass piece (and I was expecting Adrienne to have trouble at altar, since there's no brooch...).
Yes, and watching your stream yesterday I made sure I remember all the actions correctly, and I could repeat them without making mistakes. ))) Thank you. That was cool. Thank you for sharing, RSB. I just read something along the lines of how we are living in the “Age Of Despair”. Managing depression is incredibly difficult even during the best of times. Doing so now is even harder. Hang in there, pal.

These are indeed very dark and troubling times, but people such as yourself make said times easier to deal with. Please do keep up the astounding works.

I'm not sure if you still look at comments from older videos/livestreams, but I just wanted to say a quick thank you to you for this channel. I only just learned about the Phantasmagoria series from Dan playing it and your interview with him recently led me to finding your channel and all the wonderful things you're doing! I've watched a handful of your interviews so far, along with the entirety of this playthrough with Tori all in the past couple days! I've got a bunch of your other interviews and your playthough of Phantasmagoria 2 lined up ready to watch (2 will be a blind experience for me so I'm looking forward to that).
I hope that you are going to do another project together later. This is awesome.
Sad it's over but glad I finally got all caught up. I spent a few days straight marathoning these, perfect for the fall season. Thanks Paul for sticking to your guns and exploring everything, that's what I would want to do if I were playing or watching. I know it was probably hard to manage everything but it ended up being chill and relaxing to me. The game sometimes has an odd pace but I think this commentary managed to navigate it.
Thanks to Tori for coming back each time and playing off Paul while taking the gameplay seriously. This is a special experience made more so by her memories and new memories being made, and I think it will be way more close to the heart for fans of the game than other playthroughs out there.

I played this game decades ago and never beat it. It gave me so many nightmares. I told my hubby about the game and he’d actually never heard of it. He downloaded it immediately. I’m actually too anxious to play again so he’s going to do it 😅
That was great. Never thought i'd see you two playing this game. The one thing you missed was i think the extended head ripping scene. Depending on when the demon gets you, you can see a slightly extended version of it where you see the ripped head panning down right up against the camera! yuck!

Epic meeting indeed. Paul is an excelent host and Victoria super nice. Btw the onyly thing you missed is a scene where Don finds you when hiding inside the coffin, at the catacombs, where you get the beads. Its quite creepy and cool, you should check it out. Oh, and the song too =)
The doors shutting and Adrienne being stuck in the house reminds me of 5 days a stranger a lot. 😄

I have to start by thanking you, Paul for getting this started. I'd like to thank Victoria for agreeing to do this as well.
This has been a very strange thing for me to witness. I've often wondered about the actors when I played this as a kid. It was hilarious to see this. I laughed so many times, it was amazing!
I'd like to share a little about how Phantasmagoria entered my life...
In the mid 90s, my mother and father both worked for the Metro Police in Toronto, Ont. They both got this game, and took a few days off work to play, that's how much they were enthralled by it.
Through hearing the story about mom and dad taking time off work to play this game, my sisters and I got our hands on the 7 disc set and played ourselves at the young age of roughly 10 years old.
We didn't get through it for ages, but after many attempts and failures, we would always return to the game and get a bit further each time.
After playing through the game dozens of times we finally beat it.
Years later, in my late teens, or early 20s I bought the game on Good Old Games, that was about a decade or longer ago, but I still remember nearly everything by heart, including lines, because I heard them over and over as a kid.
It was rather frustrating, but fun, watching you guys attempt to get to the greenhouse. I was shouting directions at the tv and my fiancée kept reminding me it happened months ago and they can't hear me.
Thank you guys so much for this playlist, it was the most entertaining thing I've watched in a long time, probably because it is a game I have wonderful memories of.
By the way, we had an official strategy guide for this game that my parents bought because they liked the game so much. I remember it had the strategy part of the book, but also a lot of behind the scenes stuff. It had a lot of explanations about all kinds of things and tons of photos of the blue screen sets, actors, props, etc. I don't have the book anymore, and I don't remember what it was officially titled, or who published it unfortunately. However, I know that it does exist, if that info at all interests you or Victoria.
I see you and Victoria have made it a thing to continue playing games together regularly. I'll happily subscribe and start watching the other streams. Looking forward to watching both of you play Phantasmagoria 2.
I'll leave you with a game recommendation you may be interested in livestreaming with Victoria in the future. It is another point and click puzzle game I enjoyed as a child. It is called NiBiRu: Age of Secrets.

Watching you discovering the game 25+ years after its release was very unique, just like the game is. I’m a 32 (mostly retro)gamer enjoyer from Belgium. I’ve played about 15FMV and this is my favourite along with a more animated one: The Last Express (1999) Also loved the themes explored in Phantasmagoria 2. Take care and don't forget to have fun!

This was brilliant! I have a soft spot for these games and to see the two leads go through it together is super cool. It’s nice to see somewhat of a renaissance of FMV games in the past few years. They are more of a “choose your own adventure” style than point and click, but it’s something. Thank again

In the early 2000s i talked with composer Mark Seibert if he still owns the choir movie score.. Unfortunately all the footage except the opening and ending songs has been lost.
I tried the choir.... But they don't keep things they record for reference reasons. But it was awesome to chat a little with Mark about it.
