И тогда они обращаются к бывшим бандюганам - среди них были мастера традиционных единоборств, хорошие стрелки и взрывотехники. И начинается борьба японского и китайского спецназа. Ну, и взаимная разведка, борьба агентов под прикрытием. А драки чисто для антуража, это как сказка, разумеется не для американских постановочных боёв. Американцы и европейцы тоже с монголами не могут бороться, с японцами в сумо тоже не особо получается. Везде свой формат.
В общем, это не пособие по рукопашному бою. Это кино.

I've noticed that after the first ipman movie with donnie yen fighting 10 japanese soldier, a lot of chinese films try to copy that scene. The one issue is the films that copy that scene dont even try to make it in the realm of possibility. This scene in particular barely put up a fight, and everyone is just flying off the ring like the fighter has inhuman strength. The reason the donnie yen's scene worked was because there was a sense that it could be in the realm of possibility, although unlikely.
Those are all tv series like this one. Not films.
Why is this not possible? If the Japanese adhered to a certain etiquette, they attacked one at a time. And the legendary master has a knockout blow. That's real. When taking an exam for the highest levels of mastery, a person must withstand a larger number of opponents. But not everyone can do this.

Still need time for Chinese movie choreography to catch up to the peak of HK Kung Fu movie in the 80s/90s, even low budget HK kung fu series then have much better fight scenes than this. I hope they catch up.

It's so sad how some people are so detached from reality that watching a movie that's not a biography is taken seriously. MA in movies too many to be honest has gone full fantasy with not much realism. Save for Donnie Yen recent movies and the Raid series, the art of brutal kick arse Kungfu has been replaced by unrealistic wire walking and or CGI.
I think your describing every old martial arts movie. Lots of people love it a nice kick ass film . Without having to think to much just watch and enjoy don’t need to hate on it just don’t watch it

Depending on your definition of recent Michael Jai White needs to be included in the list of actual realist movies. In fact, he is more realistic than most old movies. Here for example ua-cam.com/video/iwRpSq7GUiA/v-deo.html there is a little bit of indestructibility to extend the fight, but besides that, a couple times when the dudes don't go for the lower part of the male anatomy is spot on. Even the reliably mystical "Never Back Down" is extremely realistic for a movie.

Anyways outside of Hollywood the film market is extremely and beautifully diverse all you need for most is content is some half decent sub for your preferred language and you are set.
It's a shame kung fu movies have started to resort to guns if they lose 😀😀
