We have travelled up in your neck of the woods and we are lol all the gear no I dear we looking at them kellpees Have you lads had out off football hole thanks Love the videos all good stuff
Up to 100ft some of our cliffs...although if you watch my mist recent video you will see the issues I face when hooking into massive fish on the same mark
Ahh you will have to try someday....its half the rush just not quite knowing whats out there...and unfortunately not....large bird population there so atleast the young get to eat it
The good thing about being up there is the lack of undersized fish...ive yet to have one undersized and I've fished there 1000 times....I know lads who will even used the gripper led to lower a fish back into the water....but yeah luckily no undersized yet
So do you guys' ever fish where you don't have to walk in three miles in or a hundred yards straight up & down? lmao. Another thing...cod off the rocks. We're traveling twenty to thirty miles offshore to even get a whiff of a cod... Not a bad fish though. Hey, thanx for posting bud.
Haha yeah the marks are usually a bit of a hike like...I mean that mark is only 10 minutes from my flat so not too bad....id be offshore myself if I had any sea legs....none stop puking from start to finish 🤮
Great video. You may want to think about making something like this line gaff for your cliff/pier fishing. Im not sure how long the line would need to be but I've seen videos of people using similar to gaff fish up the cliffs. This is for your bigger fish ofcourse ua-cam.com/video/GFCwE0GHbUA/v-deo.html
You're a brave man fishing off there with all of the rockfalls and sinkholes along there,
Didn't used to be so bad Simon...but now since they have been digging and ripped the old road up I don't trust the place at all

Nice codling. It's supposed to be canny off the cliffs at Ryhope as well.
Helpful roughly how high cliff. I am giving cliff fish a go in Cornwall.

I've never been sea fishing - could you have used those Codling guts as a bait?
Ahh you will have to try someday....its half the rush just not quite knowing whats out there...and unfortunately not....large bird population there so atleast the young get to eat it
The fish are where the birds are ?. Good going magic finger poke.
Hahah yeah I think they might just be...👆🪄
hi .good video .can you describe the reel and the rod you are using many thanks.
Iam using a century kompressor SS rod and a shimano ultegra 14000 ci4 reel
Nice video one question how do you safely return an undersized fish from up there ?
The good thing about being up there is the lack of undersized fish...ive yet to have one undersized and I've fished there 1000 times....I know lads who will even used the gripper led to lower a fish back into the water....but yeah luckily no undersized yet
Hi have you tried a casting cannon?
I have Frank...and I nearly killed my mate hahah couldn't quite release it properly ...or attach it to the rod securely
By the way nice fish
Cheers Ray

Rap a little tape on first then reverse the tape so sticky side up and don't rap to tight
Absolute legend davie...I shall try that next time...cheers
Just use the tape next time mate
I initially thought of using the tape but worried it would be too slippy on the braid...ill have to try next time...cheers
Lol seagull😅
Hahaha y I is that yeee
