Even in the chapter holmes said that kriemhild can be summoned as a berserker or an avenger (i think he also said saber)... so im guessing her avenger version will be coming in 2 years for summer
@@rotciv557 basically that yes. The reason she committed vengeance was for the murder of her husband, discovering her husband's "murder" was actually a Heroically, and political, driven suicide and was his idea.....really didn't sit well with her at all.
@@adraxer1365 why? Dantes wholeheartedly believes that his vengeance was deserved and righteous. He was personally screwed over by it, as opposed to Kriemhild who was technically slighted by Siegfried since he didn't inform her of anything but the people she took vengeance upon were just following his plan and were for all intent and purposes innocent.
Yeah, I believe Fate's take on her story is mostly this one, but Siegfried's assassination was actually plotted out BY Siegfried, then carried out by Gunther and Hagen (which tbh, is perfectly in character for Fate's Siegfried). This is the reason why she isn't summonable as an Avenger: once Hagen tells her about this, she despair over the fact that A. Siegfried never even consulted with her about this, and B. That in her rage she ended up completely ruining her love's sacrifice and killing her brethren. Ergo, she cannot be summoned as an Avenger, because to be one you need absolute certainty in the fact that one has been wronged and that justice must be met out to those that did it, and Kriemhild lacks both since she ended up carrying out her vengeance to those who had been following the wishes of the one she was trying to avenge. Instead, all of the self-loathing she feels + the combination of hatred, regret and betrayal she feels towards Siegfried, Hagen and Gunther basically made her go mad, hence Berserker.
I mean, yeah Avenger Kriemhild would make sense..... if not for the tiny fact that Siegfried's death in fate was Political suicide to keep Kriemhild's brother safe. She actually discovers this and the revelation makes her go mad against her husband, meaning her revenge was misplaced and for nothing.
The one channel where I can watch the same video several times in the same day and still be fully invested and enjoy it just as much every single time. Thank you klidge for yet another wonderful video for yet another servant that I have fallen head over heals for thanks to you
Krimmy is so adorable I can't help but want to whale for her when she drops in 2 years, and it helps the one and truest best boi of fate Charlie drops on the same banner
Thank you so much, klidge. I've been waiting for you to do a video on this lovely scorned woman ever since she released in fgo, and you did not disappoint. You did this woman Justice. I cannot thank you enough for making a video on her. I'm internally grateful to you. As for any service recommendations, could you pretty please do a video on Hektor of Troy? Hektor is one of my favorite characters in fgo and I would love for you to do a video on him because I know you put a lot of quality into your videos.
I think Gudrun and Kriemhild are different characters in Fate. In Brynhild's 2nd interlude though, they kind of admit that their version of the timeline doesn't make any sense.
the apocrypha writer and fgo writers kinda messed up the timeline keeping them separate they should have made the apocrypha thing an outlier and kept the og lore
so what im getting from the fgo change: **directly after the hunt** kreim: hagen you bastard you killed siegfried ill kill you all hagen: no he asked me to do this kreim: what hagen: he asked me to kill him kriem: oh going by these types of tales she either kills herself or disappears meaning her entire story doesnt happen and no one dies thanks fgo
Very accurate explaination since it is your turf while the first fate drama cd is prototype called Brunhilde or brynhild the master is using a potion some kind of chemical like a "magic love potion" her class is the same with her if you research here in youtube with subtitles and listen the dialogue. They are all the same.
Yeah, in prototype her master uses a potion to trick Bryn's senses. This makes her see other servants as Sigurd, this triggers the curse in her spear, making it more deadly to enemy servants
Hilariously enough, in Altera's Interlude, Brynhildr attacks Altera out of the blue because she smells like Siegfried... which they eventually figure out is because she married Kriemhild after Siegfried's death, so his "scent" rubbed off on Altera. So yes, she is. Also, fucking *hell,* that's a good sense of smell...
She is But alteras interlude and some dialogue implies that the marrige was loveless and more politically interested Cause altera was too busy destroying everything and she was too busy with her revenge they never really loved each other
It depends on the version, but in a lot of the stories, Siegfried had already pledged himself to Brunhilda but forgot after he unwittingly took a potion of forgetfulness. Then he helps the person who tricked him to underhandedly marry Brunhilda. So we just really pissed off about the whole situation and was trying to make it seem less bad to herself then it really was.
I will never understand why Fate decided to change Hagen so much. He went from being the sole reason why the greatest Germanic hero died, and his wife slaughtered not only her brother but a group of admittedly innocent bystanders to a neutral party that was roped into the situation without much of a fault........... I understand making Siegfried’s death his decision but the change just doesn't sit right with me.
yeah the apocrypha writer changed siegfried possible to make the sacrifice thing with sieg makes sense even though a being like siegfried wouldnt hold such ideals and makes him a terrible guy with what he put his wife threw I doubt the Apocrypha writer even considered this stuff when he wrote it the fgo writers should have put in some work and changed the lore to be somewhat more accurate instead of going with those nonsensical changes
2:00 Hope there Son show up in Fate being Seig’s brother I mean Sigurd has a daughter in a light novel spin off why can’t they have there child in fate
They were mentioned little, but I sure hope that we see Dietrich and Hildebrand themselves one day, though Dietrich is more likely Dietrich von Bern himself is a great hero of his own legends, the so called 'Dietrichepic". He is the king of Bern, which is confusingly not the capital of Switzerland, but the italian town of Verona (Bern was simply the middle high german word for Verona), wielder of the magic swords Nagelring and Eckesachs, as well as the masterly crafted sword Mimung. Dietrich defeated many giants, a dragon and is the archenemy of the dwarven king Laurin, but also a friend to King Gunther and also Siegfried. In some versions it is Dietrich who introduced Siegfried to Kriemhild. He helps with Kriemhild's revenge out of fault, as he lost all his power and domain to his uncle and was forced to be a vassal under King Etzel (Attila) and therefore by default also a vassal to Kriemhild. Hildebrand on the other hand is a recurring character in the Dietrichepic, as he is Dietrich's armourer, brother-in-arms, fatherly figure and counsellor. He often acted as a moral compass to the King of Bern, as Dietrich was short tempered and easy to anger
Escuse me, sensei. Did you say they beefed over drinking water? Like, mineral v filtered? Did Brunnhild drink from the bottle then put it back in the fridge?
Even in the chapter holmes said that kriemhild can be summoned as a berserker or an avenger (i think he also said saber)... so im guessing her avenger version will be coming in 2 years for summer
Wait, wasn't Kriemhild unsummonable as an Avenger due to her lacking any belief in her vengeance due to learning that it was ultimately pointless?
@@rotciv557 basically that yes. The reason she committed vengeance was for the murder of her husband, discovering her husband's "murder" was actually a Heroically, and political, driven suicide and was his idea.....really didn't sit well with her at all.
@@rotciv557 Basing in that logic, we should be unable to summon Edmont Dantes.

Kriemhild literally says in story she doesn't qualify for Avenger.

yeah I feel they should have ignored the apocrypha changes to his lore
nice, I like these videos of yours, they're informative.
Thanks! Same to you
Your the bond man
Both the husband and wife are 4stars truely they are made for eachother
I find these behind the servant videos so relaxing & I always learn more about the servants’ respective history thanks to you Senpai 📖
Kriemhild is Sieg's mom confirmed
The behind the servant series is so good
I cant wait for ROLAND the Orlando himself

Kriemhild: I see, so it turns out he politically suicide himself for my brother…Someone please kill me. I like to talk to a certain someone
@@KhanhNguyen-mh5ec yeah her story basically wouldn't happen if Hagen told her the truth this probably one of fgo worst oversights

In some legends he stabbed him in the back and Siegfried tried to kill him and nearly did before he finally died
The Kriem in Kriemhild could've also derives *Grīm- (cf. Old English grīma) meaning mask, according to another theory.
Siegfried, you luck lucky bastard 😏

I’m actually betting the game will implement Avenger Kriemhild before Avenger Boudica.
Probably true sadly
was looking for this yesterday thank you
She’s not an avenger because that class is reserved for the French
I never expected a reference to the Ohio Frog-Man in a video about a goth dommy mommy. well done.
so what im getting from the fgo change:
**directly after the hunt**
kreim: hagen you bastard you killed siegfried ill kill you all

Maybe they are saving Avenger for Olga of Kiev. 🤞
Kriemhild is cool, and someone I didn't expect to see as a servant, but when I saw her design initially I was hoping it was Hervor wielding Tyrfing. >
Hervor would be so cool
