    Thank you so much! I've been looking for someone showing exactly how to do the 3D carving. You explained it perfectly, and your camera person did an awesome job!

    Thanks for sharing your expertise. This step has been the hardest part of tufting aside from learning how to get the perfect density for the rug. Can't tell you how many times I goofed up my practice pieces just due to not carving well.

    This a perfect example of "show me, don't just tell me" Thanks for showing such a close view... I watched a 15min video and didn't learn a thing.

    I bought the Amazon kit that came with the gun and clippers- but the clippers feel really weak. I have to really push to shave anything, I think they’re cheap? Any recs for good clippers?

    I saw a lot of people using the exact trimmer from aliexpress, is it possible to trim with any kind or does it have to be this one? ty in advance

    • @kolourfulkishanicole9486
      @kolourfulkishanicole9486  Рік тому

      I got this trimmer from Ebay for $44. I believe you need to or it's best to have an animal/sheep/goat trimmer because of how fine and soft the yarn is.

  • @mackenzieoribello5531

    How do you know where to put the trimmer? Is it right on the lines? Or more to the sides of the line

    • @kolourfulkishanicole9486
      @kolourfulkishanicole9486  Рік тому

      I dip the trimmer in right in between where the 2 colors meet. Almost as if I'm trying to separate the 2 colors.

  • @LockdownCB5
    @LockdownCB5 2 роки тому +2

    Do you trim it down a level before carving? Or does that even matter?

    • @kolourfulkishanicole9486
      @kolourfulkishanicole9486  2 роки тому +1

      Not necessarily. I kinda trim it down as I carve. I usually start with the carving first though.

  • @iam_brittanyjovan3280
    @iam_brittanyjovan3280 Рік тому +1

    So you're basically creating a space in-between the 2 colors??

    • @kolourfulkishanicole9486
      @kolourfulkishanicole9486  Рік тому +1

      Not exactly. More like creating a clear separation between the two colors as they still touch each other. I hope that makes sense.

      Hey! I use Red Heart and JoAnn’s value brand of yarn. Sometimes I use Impeccable Yarn from Michael’s. But I mostly prefer the first 2 brands of yarn.
