ranma got so much unwanted physical contact in the manga & you’d have to be blind to not read that he’s the most comfortable with akane & that she’s the only one he has no problem being up in his personal space (he just gets overwhelmed with his feelings for her & becomes shy then teases her in defense😂) like these two LIKE LIKE each other

This episode in the original anime was the first episode of Ranma 1/2 I ever saw, and it lit a little fire in my teenage brain that never went out.
At least Ranma forgot about the first kiss after his conversation with Akane. 😆
You'd think a guy whose entire martial arts form requires mastery of balance would be a little quicker in applying that to skating.
I too suffer from that fear of finishing a series or a book because "there won't be any more left".
I agree that they've done a much better job in the re-adaptation of showing stronger feelings between Ranma and Akane.
It felt like a few lines were slightly off in the translation, some awkward wordings. I think they changed Nabiki's and Kasumi's reaction to news of the kiss, which in the original was more along the lines of "if it was a kiss from a man it doesn't mean anything", but I don't know what it was in the Manga.

Here the traslation is not right. What Ranma said is " we should do it with someone we really like" she say " oh i guess that exclude me"
and Ranma say "thats not what i meant! If you are alright with it.. then I am"
Do you speak Japanese? Or were you referring to the subtitles?
Sometimes you need to be careful with the subtitles, some of them are mistranslations too.
It's funny that Ryoga so arrogantly says that he never would have gotten himself in a situation like that when he was basically kissed unguarded by Akane a few episodes ago. I get that it's Akane, the one we are talking about, but it's still the same situation.
Nah you're correct the fact that it was definitely unwanted changes the entire scene. It's icky for precisely the reasons to mentioned.
